Post by dominggus on when going online, stuck on "Syncing file "visuelemsdatetime.tl_datetime.txt" CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi, We are currently using a Raspberry Pi 4 CM4 module in a EdgeBox RPI 200 - Industrial Edge Controller running the latest CODESYS Runtime Package 4.11.0.0. On the PC (actually an Intel Macbook Pro running Windows 10 in Parallels) we run CODESYS V3.5.19.50. Yesterday end of day when I was about to logoff and head home, I wanted to send the latest build to the Raspberry I clicked the Login button to compile a new version and then sync the application and all the files, it get's stuck on the last file to sync (see attached screenshot). This takes eternally, although sometimes, when I use my SFTP client (Cyberduck) and go into the raspberry and refresh the directory /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/visu/, or when I open the actual file visuelemsdatetime.tl_datetime.txt, it gets un-stuck (forcing a refresh, which might fix the syncing issue) and CODESYS continues and I can click the Start button to start the application. But this SFTP force refresh trick does not always help either... What could be the issue here? network connectivity? Can someone please help me out?

Post by kblundy on Change the Opening Position of the Dialog using VU.FbOpenDialog CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
I hope the community can help me with this. I need to use the Visu Utils FbOpenDialog to control the opening and closing of a dialog. I have the Opening and Closing working, but I can’t get the dialogue's position to be controlled. The code looks like this: PROGRAM OPEN_DIALOG VAR xOpenLatchSettingDialog : BOOL; TopLeftDialog : VisuStructPoint ; fbOpenLatchSettingsDialog : VU.FbOpenDialog ; END_VAR IF xOpenLatchSettingDialog THEN xOpenLatchSettingDialog:= FALSE ; TopLeftDialog.iX := 100; TopLeftDialog.iY := 23; fbOpenLatchSettingsDialog(sDialogName := 'visu_AlarmLatchSettings', xExecute := xOpenLatchSettingDialog , xModal := TRUE, itfClientFilter := VU.Globals.OnlyTargetVisu, pTopLeftPosition := ADR(TopLeftDialog)); CloseVisuDialog(sDialogName:= 'visu_AlarmLatchSettings'); ELSE xOpenLatchSettingDialog:= TRUE ; IF fbOpenLatchSettingsDialog.xError THEN xOpenLatchSettingDialog := FALSE; END_IF END_IF I can't seem to work out a way to make the values in TopLeftDialog.iX and TopleftDialog.iY be passed correctly in the call and for it to change the position of the dialogue box. The code is compiled, but the position has not been changed. Any guidance or suggestions for revising this code would be incredibly valuable. Your insights could be the key to solving this issue.

Post by bertus on Can't get SMC_SmoothPath to work CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi Georg, thanks for your time. What is the value of D_ANGLE_TOL? It is set to 0.01. Do you need the assignment bAbort := NOT bDecoder? Does it help to leave it out? This seems to make no difference. Any errors (e.g. SMC_SmoothPath.Error/ErrorID) or PLC log messages? No errors or log messages. What if you comment out SMC_SmoothMerge and SMC_LimtiDynamics, is corner smoothing still not working? Indeed. Is bDecode written from a different task (e.g. visu)? Then I would recommend to assign to a local variable (bDecodeLocal := bDecode) and use that for all FBs. Otherwise, FBs might see different values of bDecode in a single cycle, which will cause problems. It is a local variable, written from a state machine inside this program. But there is new information: During some trial and error, I tried skipping "stage 2: merge short linear segments" (SMC_SmoothMerge). And suddenly it rounds the corners, see attached image. Looking a bit closer, I noticed that (with the original program) after a download (cold start?), it in fact did round the corners, but only once. Ever next cycle in which the NC program was executed, the corners where not rounded. Not sure if there is any relation, but SMC_SmoothMerge is also the only FB which has no bAbort input. Perhaps I need to reset it (or any buffers) by other means?

Hi dgrard, I had the same issue for a long time, but on a WAGO webvisu. Now I'm glad that I can share my solution. I don't know if you are trying to use the webvisu or the target visu, but this works on webvisu: Get "go2rtc" and set it up according to the documentation. I'm running the Windows binary. Here's my example of the go2rtc.yaml config file (contains working example streams): api: listen: ":1984" # default ":1984", HTTP API port ("" - disabled) origin: "*" # default "", allow CORS requests (only * supported) static_dir: "www" # default "", folder for static files (custom web interface) tls_listen: ":443" # default "", enable HTTPS server tls_cert: "./SSL/fullchain.pem" tls_key: "./SSL/privatekey.pem" streams: # Streams with multiple links will fall back on the next link. ABUS TVIP48511: - rtsp://<username>:<password>@<hostname>:<port>/ch1/main - rtsp://<username>:<password>@<hostname>:<port>/ch1/sub # Diagnostic connections Kirchhoff Institute for Physics - Germany: http://pendelcam.kip.uni-heidelberg.de/mjpg/video.mjpg Blanton Bottling, Kentucky - USA: http://camera.buffalotrace.com/mjpg/video.mjpg Tokyo - Japan: http://61.211.241.239/nphMotionJpeg?Resolution=320x240&Quality=Standard Tampere Hacklab - Finland: http://tamperehacklab.tunk.org:38001/nphMotionJpeg?Resolution=640x480&Quality=Clarity Soltorget Pajala - Sweden: http://195.196.36.242/mjpg/video.mjpg Kaiskuru Skistadion - Norway: http://77.222.181.11:8080/mjpg/video.mjpg webrtc: listen: ":8555" #ice_servers: # - urls: [ "stun:localhost:3478" ] # username: "" # credential: "" Access the webinterface of go2rtc and get the link of your stream. Use the link as for your browser frame in the visualization. Depending on your device, you need to be able to access the file /etc/lighttpd/lighttpd.conf or /etc/lighttpd/webvisu.conf and change the contents similar to this one, otherwise you'll get CORS and CSP errors in the browser and you won't be able to view the stream on the webvisu: # Webvisu specific settings $SERVER["socket"] =~ port_webvisu_used_any { url.redirect += ( "^/webvisu/?$" => "/webvisu/webvisu.htm" ) $HTTP["url"] =~ "^/webvisu/?" { var.response_header_policy_webvisu = ( # CSP for WebVisu, allowing inline sources. Post by kevinrn on CODESYS Development System V3 installation auf unter Parallells Windows 11auf MAC PRO M1 ARM Prozessor CODESYS Forge talk (Post)

Post by thejesh on WebVisu: switch-frame destroys and rebuilds referenced visualization - is retention configurable? CODESYS Forge talk (Post)
Hi, HTML5 Conrtrol elements on CODESYS V3.5 SP22 Patch 2, WebVisu only (no TargetVisu). The client is Chromium 147 in kiosk mode on a Raspberry Pi CM5 panel; the runtime is CODESYS Control Win V3 x64/CODESYS Control RTE V3 x64 on a separate IPC. I have measured that changing a Frame element's switch-frame variable destroys the currently referenced visualization and fully rebuilds it on return, including all embedded HTML5 controls. We would like to know whether this lifecycle is configurable. Measurement 1: Curently, our production page contains a good number of custom HTML5 controls and will only increase , each of which the WebVisu client instantiates as a separate about:srcdoc iframe. I counted live targets via the Chromium remote debugging endpoint (curl http://localhost:9222/json/list) before and after switching. Production displayed (index 0) 108 iframes Switched to a light page (index 1) 46 iframes Switched back to Production 108 iframes 62 controls are destroyed on leaving the page and re-instantiated on return. Observed latency was approximately 2.5 -5s away from the heavy page and approximately 4.0 -5 s back to it. This was measured with the panel otherwise idle: 2.8% system CPU, 97.1% idle, 2 h 56 min uptime, no remote-desktop session running, hardware acceleration confirmed active in chrome://gpu. I had previously measured the same behaviour under a much higher CPU load and have since resolved that load separately (VISU_TASK cycle period), so I am confident the rebuild is the frame lifecycle itself and not CPU starvation. Measurement 2 — frame offset instead of switch index I then displayed the same overlay page by a different mechanism. Instead of using a switch-frame index, I placed the page in a fixed Frame parked off-screen below the visible canvas, and drive its Y offset from an INT in Structured Text to move it into view. With this approach the overlay appears immediately, the production page underneath is never torn down and keeps updating, and no visualization is destroyed or rebuilt in either direction. The iframe count does not change at any point. This is the same visualization, containing the same HTML5 controls, as in Measurement 1 — the only difference is how it is brought on screen. So the rebuild appears to be a property of the switch-frame mechanism specifically, not of the page or its control count. Questions: Is the destroy-and-rebuild behavior on switch-frame the intended and documented lifecycle for WebVisu? Is there any setting, property or client option that causes a referenced visualization to remain instantiated when it is not the active index — the equivalent of keeping it mounted but not displayed? Does the runtime or client offer any form of caching or pre-instantiation for referenced visualizations, so that a return switch does not pay the full construction cost? Is the cost specific to HTML5 controls, or would the same rebuild occur with an equivalent number of native visualization elements? We ask because it would inform whether reducing our HTML5 control count is a viable solution. Is there a recommended pattern for showing a full-screen page over a live production screen without tearing the production screen down? My current workaround is to keep every page permanently instantiated and move it on and off screen by driving a frame offset variable, which avoids the rebuild entirely but means every page stays live and consumes client resources for the life of the session. This works, but I would prefer to use the supported mechanism if one exists. Any help on this is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Frohe Ostern!
