Hello good morning everyone I would like to ask a question, is it possible to directly connect a device that only contains modbus RTU communication through an R-45 connector, directly to the PC? Or would you need an intermediate device to achieve communication? It would be of great help to me because I cannot achieve communication between the Codesys simulator plc and a Fuji Frenic mini VFD, please help me if anyone has had the same experience. it appears that the different revisions have different PDOs. I am currently trying to use the rev25. I have tried to use the rev24 (the device repository entry not from 'scan for devices') and i keep getting 'invalid output mapping' or 'invalid input mapping' in the ethercat log. I cant even get the bus to run from the device description that comes from 'scan for devices'...

Hallo, seit einigen Tagen versuche ich erfolglos eine Ansteuerung der GPIOs des SK-AM64B Entwicklungsboards (Texas Instruments) über Codesys zu bewerkstelligen. Bei dem Versuch GPIOs anzusteuern, ohne die devdesc.xml bzw. den iodriver anzupassen, wird mir von Codesys die Fehlermeldung "Bus läuft nicht" (siehe Screenshot) angezeigt. Welche Vorgehensweise wird zur Konfiguration der IO empfohlen? Ist eine Anpassung der devdesc.xml und des IOdrivers notwendig? Wie wird am besten bei der Anpassung der genannten Dateien vorgegangen? Hi, I am new to modbusTCP and I am trying to access Input registers from codesys (3.5.SP13). The offset is 16#0000 and I am trying to access Channel 1[24] %IW24 to pull analog values. I am using pyModbusTCP and I need to supply a modbus address and the number of registers to read. What does 16#0000 mean in terms of the actual offset, how do I translate this number plus the channel to access this info via python? Any help would be appreciated, thank you.

I'm not really sure what you are trying to do, but maybe you are referring to using the CmpCharDevice library? When you "open" the connection to a device, you can pass flags. What helped me is to set the non-blocking flag. Thanks, I will check the PLC Log when the PLC is connected again. I will update my findings here. Since I don't have access to the Linux Panel PC at the moment, I tested inside my development VM with the same Linux OS. I have no issues or delays connecting to the WebVisu using my Linux VM. Two main differences: 1. My host Computer has a faster processor compared to the panel PC. 2. There are no devices connected in my dev environment. I will continue testing when I have connection to the panel PC.

hi, i am currently trying to adapt an i/o device for a project. the node id is unknown and there is no eds file available. no data is being emitted from the device as a giveaway, the baudrate is known but useless without the node id. is there an sdo request available to determine the id? i cannot get the device to leave pre op status even with a global nmt request. please help. no hair left.

What maybe helps is the Visu Dialog ST demo project: https://store.codesys.com/en/visu-dialog-st.html This has an application IECOpenDialog where dialogs are opened using the VU.FbOpenDialogExtended function blocks. The fbOpenConfigurationDialog call has a reference (interface) to the "close listener" FB of which it's method is automatically called when the dialog is closed. This way you can create specific function blocks for each dialog when it is closed and do what you want with the data that might have been changed.

Hi, I try use IIoT library to send and receive SMS by Raspbery PI and Codesys. I installed IIoT package and added the SMS library, But something is wrong, when I init communication it doesn't work, When I sniffer my communication (AT commands) beetwen RS232 RaspberryPi and my GSM modem I have only below commands: AT+CMEE=1 OK AT+CPIN? +CPIN: READY Anyone have idea what can be wrong ?

Hallo zusammen, ich arbeite mich momentan in das Thema IO-Link ein. Benutze einen Revolution Pi, IO-Link Master (AL1333 IFM), Sensor (OGD500 IFM) und ein IO-Link I/O Modul (AL2205 IFM). EDS-Dateien und IODD Dateien über das Geräte-Repro eingebunden. Bekomme jetzt folgenden Fehler:- Die Lizenz fehlt oder ist ungültig. Die SPS läuft im Demo-Modus. Welche Lizenz wird benötigt, um IO-Link fähigen Sensoren meinen IO-Link Master hinzuzufügen? Benutze die Codesys V3.5 SP19. Gruß Chris PS: Anbei das Bild

Hi! I have som variables that I communicate to a Modbus Master. These variables are declared in a "Global Variable List" where I have assigned them memory addresses. To organize this mapping I want to make a MODBUS list where I show all the variable names together with the memory address. Is there an easy way to export this list from CODESYS? Either through script or some export function maybe?

Hello All! Having a strange issue. When adding a library, I'm unable to search. Each time a window pops up 'creating the search index' and then has 0 results. I have the same behavior when using the library repository and pressing the 'Find' button. I wonder if there is a way to reset or fix this issue? It is making it very difficult to search and find proper libraries to add to my project. Much appreciated.

Hallo zusammen, ich erstelle eine CSV-Datei, die im Moment mit file.Write lokal in einem Verzeichnis (/home/pi/Logdaten/logData.csv) gespeichert wird. Jetzt möchte ich die gesammelten Daten aber gerne im Netzwerk speichern. Der Versuch, die Datei unter //Server/Public/logData.csv zu speichern, hat sich so geäußert, dass ein Ordner (Server) im Stammverzeichnis auf dem Pi mit Unterordner erstellt wurde und dort die Datei abgelegt wurde. Gibt es hier eine einfache Möglichkeit, die Datei vom Pi herunter zu bekommen? Leider habe ich im Netz nicht wirklich was hierzu gefunden. Grüße Hermann

I can't recall how I solved it and whether it was a problem with my codesys installation or the project itself. If it is the codesys installation, make sure all your required libraries and plugins are installed and available. compare with a colleagues installation if possible. I vaguely recall saving a copy of my project and deleting things one by one until the error went away...

Hi everybody, I am looking for a solution to send files, for example, to an ftp or a cloud. I can't use oscat library because 64 bit controller are not supported. Therefore, I see that the IIoT library has some functions that might help me to implement this sending process in codesys. Does anyone have any examples of how to do this? With CODESYS V3.5 it is possible for a user to do the following things among many others. 1) Handling certificates especially move a certificate to the trusted folder. 2) Change password and create new users for OPC UA access However it requires access to the whole projects and its source code. Something you might not want to hand over to an end user for a stand alone product. Is there a way out of this problem?

Hello, The title pretty much says it all. When trying to open a FB from the CFC/Ladder/SFC editors while online, the FB does not open in an online view of that specific instance. Instead, it opens an offline view with '???' shown for the value of any variable. This makes debugging extremely cumbersome, as I have to find each FB in the POU window and select the specific instance I am trying to view. Anyone know the cause/solution for this? Thanks.

Hello? I have a problem with datasource... I am trying to connect to a OPCUA server. I create a datasource, but I can not login into it. I need to use login credentials to login... Everything works fine in UAExpert, but in codesys I cant seem to get in properly using the login credentials... I have tried to configure the datasource initializer but seem to keep failing... Do I need to call it somewhere ? Will the find endpoints work with this configured to store my password ? !

Hallo zusammen, auf einer Industriesteuerung (Target-Version 3.5.5.0) läuft unter anderem eine Alarmverwaltung mit Alarmspeicherung. Offensichtlich kann kein Schreibzugriff auf das .sqlite File durchgeführt werden, daher ist die Alarmhistorie nicht mehr verfügbar. Versuche mit unterschiedlichen Unterverzeichnissen führten nicht zum Erfolg. Die Datei "application.alarmstorage.sqlite" wird zwar angelegt, aber es erfolgen keine Einträge. Hat jemand eine Idee dazu? Die Steuerung ist ca. 8 Jahre in Betrieb, die Alarmhistorie hat früher mal funktioniert. Danke, LG

Hello is there a chance to set with a visu input the auto-logout time? At the moment, it is a fix value set in visu-manager. But for individual configurating of passwort policies I create a visu-dialog to set policies and there for an option to set auto-logout-time. But till now, I haven't found a solution. Maybe someone has an idea? Thanks
