It will be a reference, because it's a VAR_IN_OUT. it's a little weird debugging the array online. It just shows as a POINTER TO INT, and you can't actually see the array from the function side. But you can still work with it as a normal array, not a pointer.

Any reason BIT and BOOL data types are not interchangeable? Trying to make a function which takes a BOOL IN/OUT parameter (Not allowed to use BIT) In the main logic if I make a DINT variable, and want to use each bit on different functions CODESYS will not allow it.

Add the object "POU for Implicit Checks" to your application, then select "Bounds check". This will create a function which is automatically called each time an array is write accessed. In the function you can handle "out of bounds" situations. By default it will be limited to its lower or upper bound.

Hello I am using FTP_CLIENT to donwnload/Upload a text or CSV file from FTP server. UpLoading from PLC to FTP server is working without any problem but when I try to download from FTP server I get an error. The FTP_CLIENT Block allows me to add URL but I do not where I can specify the direcory to save the downloaded file... is there anyone has an experience with downloading from FTP server using FTP_CLIENT block. I am trying to install the MQTT Client SL in an existing project I have been working on for years. After adding the library to the project, and without adding any other code, upon building I get a C0180: Ambiguous namespace 'MBM' error between the memory block manager (MBM) in the NetBaseSrv dependency of the MQTT Client SL library and the memory block manager (MBM) in the CAA CanL2 dependency of the 3S CANopen stack library. I have tried: * setting "Only allow qualified access to all identifiers." in the properties for both the parent libraries. * deleting the 3S CANopen stack library. Upon (re)building the error simply points to another conflicting library - there are many. * deleting the Library Manager and rebuilding it. * adding the memory block manager library (used in the NetBaseSrv) manually and changing its namespace to MBM3S. None of the above allow me to access the MQTT library through its namespace (MQTT). Adding the memory block manager manually removes the C0180 error, but the MQTT library is not accessible - i.e. mqttClient : MQTT.MQTTClient; highlights the mqttClient as "Identifier 'MQTT.MQTTClient' not defined". Is there anything else I can try?

I have just installed Codesys 3.5. sp19 and I have downloaded example with Ethernet Rockwell 1734AENT. Regarding calling the Context menu from the keyboard in Devices, specifically calling the context menu window from the keyboard via an assigned combination. Goal: to have the ability to navigationally add internal Objects (Methods, Properties) to Function Blocks from the keyboard without using the mouse. The Codesys environment interface does not allow Windows access to this via Shift+F10. Externally (outside the Codesys environment), the hotkey call for the context menu (Shift+F10) from the keyboard works in various environments, but at the same time, in Codesys it does not (it doesn't work). I have already tried various options on my own to achieve this (but unsuccessfully): Tools\Customize\Keyboard\Objects (the set combination does not give the desired result) Tools\Customize\Keyboard\Objects... (the set combination is extremely useful as it provides access to adding objects directly to Devices but does not provide the ability to add an internal object (Method/Property) to a Function Block). Hello all I use an axis group with two linear axes in a kinematic system. Using MC_MoveLinearAbsolute and MC_MoveLinearRelative, I am trying to realise dynamic movements (set velocity: 1 m/s, set acceleration: 30 m/s^2) with the highest possible jerk, as I want to compare this with a movement with a trapezoidal velocity profile. However, my measurements show that the axes accelerate with a maximum jerk of approx. 800 m/s^3, even if the value in the function block was set to 10,000 m/s^3. I have already increased the dynamic limits of the two axes accordingly (Velocity: 5000 u/s, Acc-/Deceleration: 250'000 u/s^2, Jerk: 100'000'000 u/s^3, where 1 u = 1 mm), but this had no effect. I have checked the input parameters of the function blocks and the VelFactor, AccFactor and JerkFactor factors are all set to the maximum (value 1). Reducing the cycle time has resulted in a higher jerk, but as we are already working with a cycle time of 1 ms, there is nothing more that can be done here. The axes themselves are still a long way from drawing the maximum current, which is why I assume that this should not be a problem either. Are there other factors or parameters that influence the dynamic limits and therefore allow faster movements? The PLC I am using is a Raspberry Pi 4 and Codesys V3.5 SP20 with all libraries up to date. Thanks in advance Manuel

Hallo zusammen, auf einer Industriesteuerung (Target-Version 3.5.5.0) läuft unter anderem eine Alarmverwaltung mit Alarmspeicherung. Offensichtlich kann kein Schreibzugriff auf das .sqlite File durchgeführt werden, daher ist die Alarmhistorie nicht mehr verfügbar. Versuche mit unterschiedlichen Unterverzeichnissen führten nicht zum Erfolg. Die Datei "application.alarmstorage.sqlite" wird zwar angelegt, aber es erfolgen keine Einträge. Hat jemand eine Idee dazu? Die Steuerung ist ca. 8 Jahre in Betrieb, die Alarmhistorie hat früher mal funktioniert. Danke, LG

I ended up figuring it out It wasn't in my code. It kept taking me to 2 of my visualizations but it wasn't going to anything specific. Figured out it was some arrows that I had made to buttons for a mouse click to go to the other visualizations. I removed the text in the assign box but didn't remove the action "change shown Visualization from the list. If I deleted the images all together, the error went away. That's how I thought to go look at that.

At the visualization i dont see the action for the element which i could set below the InputConfiguration-Section. I found a topic about that, but this could be resolved through activate the Advanced Checkbox. But in my case it did not work. See the screenshots. I hope someone know this problem and have a solution. Thank you in advance.
