Hello, I was trying to create a redundancy POC for our application where we read data from few modbus tcp devices. As there is a limitaion that modbus tcp device support only for single master device, we wanted to test how the variable sync happens in redundancy mode. For that i have used the redundancy sample code added a variable "b" under a condition. What i observed was while active controller is running, if passive controller is powerup, passive controller is able to sync all the data configured for redundacny. But after that the variable data which resided under a condition is not synching from active to passive controller. I have attached the image where i have highlighter the variable. Can some help me to understand how redundacny work in codesys soft plc and if there is a solution to sync variable which are under condition, please explain the same or suggestion to achieve the same. Hardware - Raspberry Pi (2 qty) Redundancy licence used - yes in both controllers. Codesys runtime - 4.9.0.0 Codesys software version - V3.5 SP19 if i have posted this question in wrong section, please do let me know in whcih section i have to post this question.

Hello, For my program I need an extended pulse timer, which can be referred to as a retriggerable pulse timer. Where every rising edge of the input resets the elapsed time zero, extending the lenght of the output pulse. The Codesys pulse timer (TP) is a one-shot timer and only resets the elapsed time with the falling edge of the input. There is also a pulse timer (LTP) in codesys, but in my simulation it was also functioning as a one-shot even though the description sounds like LTP should be retriggerable. I have uploaded some timing plots from another PLC program for reference. I am looking for a timer equivalent to the "TEP" diagram. Is there an Extended Pulse Timer in Codesys? Maybe there is a way to manipulate the input so it resets the elapsed time outside the function block?

Hi @ph0010421, I tried the program the TimeTaken is calculated when stop is triggered. I want the TimeTaken to be continuously calculated and counting when a BOOL variable is true. Do you need an 'hours-run' counter? And 1 second resolution is ok? I think you're over-thinking it. (The task time needs to be < 1second) Have a look at the LAD... Hallo zusammen, ich programmiere öfters mal kleinere Messgeräte und Datenlogger. Je nach Einsatzzweck musste ich mir ein paar Gerätetreiber selber schreiben. Da es eine recht große Sammlung ist, stelle ich die hier einfach mal ein. Die Sammlung basiert auf den Gerätetreiber TCA9548 Multiplexer von Steffen Dreyer. Codesysversion: V3.5 SP18 Patch 4 Inhalt: -4channel Dimmer (Stefan Dreyer) -BMA456 (Andre Klien) -BME280 (Stefan Dreyer) -BMP280 (Stefan Dreyer) -EEPROM_24C512 (Stefan Dreyer) -ADS1115 (Andre Klien) -ICP10125 (Andre Klien) -PCA9555 (Stefan Dreyer) -PCA9685 (Stefan Dreyer) -PCF8575 (Stefan Dreyer) -SDP810 (Andre klien) -SSD1306 (Stefan Dreyer) -TCA9548 (Stefan Dreyer) -TSL2561 (Stefan Dreyer) Alle Gerätetreiber laufen über den Multiplexer, können aber auch ohne betrieben werden. Einschränkung: BMA456: Die Konfigurationsdaten werden erfolgreich in den Chip geschrieben, dieser meldet aber config wrong. Warum auch immer, der Sensor funktioniert und bringt hochempfindlich Beschleunigungsdaten. ADS1115: Hie habe ich nur die wichtigsten funktionen implementiert. 1-4 Kanäle, PGA, kontinuierlicher Modus, Datenrate. Alle anderen Funktionen (single-shot, komparator,alm) sind nicht implementiert. Das macht auch keinen Sinn, da diese Funktionen besser über die Steuerung realisiert werden können. Achtung beim ADS1115 ist zwingend ein Levelshifter notwendig, wenn ihr diesen mit 5V betreiben wollt. Ihr grillt sonst euren Raspi (SDA, SCL sind dann 5V) Gruß Andre

Hallo zusammen, ich hoffe ihr könnt mir weiterhelfen. Meine CODESYS Version ist die V3.5 SP19 Patch 4 und die Zielsystemversion ist die 4.10.0.0 . Ich verwende CODESYS ohne Lizenz. Ich probiere eine Verbindung über Web Sockets zwischen ROS und CODESYS aufzubauen. Der Client von CODESYS verbindet sich mit dem Ros Bridge Server aber ich weiß nicht wie ich dem Ros Server sage welches Topic er publishen soll. Über Node-Red habe ich eine Verbindung aufbauen können. Dafür habe ich "node-red-contrib-flowake-ros-nodes" verwendet. Den Daten Austausch habe ich mit mit Wireshark angeschaut und nun probiere ich den mithilfe von CODESYS nachzubauen. NAch dem sich der Client verbunden hat muss folgende Nachricht übermittelt werden:"{"op":"call_service","id":"call_service:/rosapi/topic_type:1","type":"rosapi/TopicType","args":{"topic":"/cmd_vel"}}." Ich vermute es funktioniert über Frames aber ich weiß nicht wie ich es umsetzten soll. Besten Dank für die Hilfe und schöne Grüße

Thanks for the advise, indeed, this was somewhat, what my intention was. I tried around again with EDSes and DCFs, anyway. It appears that the DCFs end up in a subfolder in the attach device dialog. Astonishingly, when attaching the DCF version I get a device in the device tree, where I can add a SoftMotion axis, whereas when I attach the device not in the subfolder, then I cannot. Further astonishingly, when looking in the CANopen parameters in supported profiles, "402" is listed in the case of the DCF variant, whereas in the EDS variant "0" is shown. Comparing EDS and DCF files I cannot guess, where the difference is coming from. I cannot tell either why I have always attached the EDS variant and apparantly never the DCF variant. As I am not in the lab right now, I cannot test if the connection actually is working. Thanks again, spiessli

I am trying to do "update device" in a project which was saved in a different version of CODESYS using ScriptEngine, a dialog with 'Yes' and 'No' button popped up showing that "Do you want to upgrade the storage format for this project? -if you click 'Yes', storage format will be upgraded... -if you click 'No', storage format will not be changed..." I have to click the 'Yes' button automatically by scriptEngine. I know from others topics here in forum, that some dialogs can be auto-answered using system.prompt_answers. And I also get the messagekey of this dialog: Key: "<< No Key>>" Message: "Do you want to upgrade the storage format for this project? - If you click 'Yes',... i have tried using the system.prompt_answers command below, but the dialog was not auto-answered. system.prompt_answers["<<No Key>>"] = PromptResult.Yes Does someone know how to auto-answer the dialog using system.prompt_answers command with messagekey"<< No key>>"? or any suggestions to solve this issue, Thanks!

Hallo, ich habe Probleme beim nachbauen des BacNet2 Tutorials "Erste Schritte" aus der CODESYS Online Help. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/de/CODESYS%20BACnet/_bacnet_first_steps.html Das Anlegen des BacNet2 Servers und der danach folgenden BacNet Datenpunkte erfolgt ohne Probleme. Der Code lässt sich mit F11 auch Fehlerfrei generieren. Beim Download auf die SPS tritt dann der Fehler auf dem Bild auf. Anbei auch ein Bild des Logs nach dem Download. CODESYS BACnet 2.0.0.0 ist über den Installer runtergeladen. I am trying to implement a mechanism to send alarm SMS. For this, I have created an Alarm Class with a Notification Action which calls a POU. This POU implements IAlarmNotifiable making it selectable in the Alarm Class configuration. IAlarmNotifiable has an Execute method which is called by the alarm class. Now, I want to extract the alarm message of the triggered alarm. The Execute method comes with a VAR_INPUT itfAlarm: AlarmManager.IAlarm which supplies a method called GetMessage. The help text says: Returns the message text, that has been configured for the alarm. The result is a pointer to the buffer, where the message text is stored The type of the result is CharBufferPtr, and at some place I read that it can be interpreted as a pointer to string. But I cannot manage to extract the alarm message, all I get are numbers. I have tried the following: psAlarmText := itfAlarm.GetMessage(__SYSTEM.TYPE_CLASS.TYPE_STRING)^; sAlarmText := TO_STRING( itfAlarm.GetMessage(__SYSTEM.TYPE_CLASS.TYPE_STRING)^ ); So how do I get access to the alarm message as clear text? Guten Tag, ich möchte Rezepte verwenden. Mit Codesys 3.5.10.30 habe ich dabei auch keine Probleme. Mit Codesys 3.5.17.0 habe ich dabei auf fast allen Computern keine Probleme, lediglich bei meinem Laptop kann ich das Kontextmenü, welches es mir ermöglicht, Einträge zu lesen, schreiben, usw. nicht öffnen. Stattdessen kommt lediglich ein Standard-Menü, welches mir Kopieren, Einfügen usw. anbietet - hier ist das allerdings wenig hilfreich. Der Installer sowie das Projektarchiv sind auf allen Geräten identisch, ein Problem mit dem Projekt selber schließe ich also aus. Ich habe schon versucht, Codesys 3.5.17.0 neu zu installieren. Dazu habe ich die alte Version deinstalliert, und danach auch den Ordner "C:\Programme (X86)\Codesys 3.5.17.0" gelöscht. Mehr wollte ich ahnungslos nicht entfernen, und da ich bisher keinen Erfolg hatte, bitte ich euch um eure Unterstützung. Hat jemand eine Idee, was das Problem verursacht? Wo macht es Sinn, nachzuschauen? Kennt jemand genau das Problem vielleicht sogar? Falls ich mich unklar ausgedrückt habe, bitte ich um Rückfragen, dann versuche ich mein Problem entsprechend weiter zu erklären. Für jede Unterstützung bin ich dankbar! Viele Grüße Frank

Ich habe Modelle in SiOME hinzugefügt, eine Software zum Entwerfen von Knoten und zum Hinzufügen von Instanzen. und erstellte eine resultierende XML-Datei. Ich habe versucht, die XML-Datei über das OPC UA-Informationsmodell-Repository in Codesys zu importieren. Das Problem besteht darin, dass ich nicht weiß, wie ich meine von mir entworfenen Objekte anzeigen soll. und ordne es meiner SPS zu, um es auf meinem Server UaExpert sichtbar zu machen. Ich habe mir das Tutorial-Video https://youtu.be/aJhzN3Uk-Do?feature=shared angesehen. Aber es zeigt Ihnen nur, wie Sie das Informationsmodell hinzufügen, und mein resultierendes Modell hat keinen Informationstyp. Wie kann ich also in Codesys ein Modell anzeigen, das ich in SiOME entworfen und meine Instanzen (Objekte, Variablen oder Methoden) meinen Variablen in der SPS zugeordnet habe? Ich habe Leute gesehen, die es in Tia Portal oder einer anderen Software gemacht haben, aber ich habe keine Ahnung, wie man es auf CODESYS macht

Hi, I am trying to create a log in my application. Since I cannot find any documentation regarding modifying the codesys configuration file to be able to log in ms, i tried to create a new log via CmpLog.LogCreate. Below is the part of the code where I create the logger and write a test string. In the log tab of codesys I actually see the new log that was created, but it is empty, and in the folder I cannot find any files. I can't find any detailed documentation. Can you guys give me support? Are there any examples? Hi there. I have an issue to read and set time for the controller. In the issue many registers described as writable by 6/16 functions, and, in this time, also(!) readable! For example: I have time registers: min, hour, day, mon, year. By specifications it is possible check time (so I need always update these varibles in loop) and set time by writing these same registers, BUT how to set, if they will immediatle updated by current time after writing? So, I need to separate one address at two variables. I have seen option mark: Overlay of the process image by the holding and input register. I understand this so: When I READ by function 3, I will get variable that connected with the same INPUT address and when I WRITE by 6/16 this will change second variable that connected with HOLDING address. BUT, this mark doesnt work, when I write 6/16 and try to get by function 3, I will get written value instead INPUT variable. So, what to do?

Dear all, I am developing a Web Socket Client in Codesys 3.5 using the Web Socket Client SL library to retrieve data from a third party. Connecting and reading works fine however after 40 seconds the connection gets interrupted by the server due to keepalive ping timeout. After discussion with third party it seems that the Web Socket Client SL library replys to the Ping request of the Web Socket server BUT does not add the "Application data" = 4 bytes in the body of the Pingframe to the Pongframe. Therefor the server does not recognize the Pongframe send by the Web Socket Client SL library and automatically disconnects. Is this a known issue with the libary or am I doing something wrong? Is there a workaround to add the 4 bytes manually to the Pongframe before replying it to the server? Thanks in advance, Roy

I am trying to figure out how to get a JSON payload to properly publish to my MQTT Broker. I am able to generate JSON using the examples from Codesys, but when I send that payload via MQTT there are characters that are extra or not recognized by my MQTT client. Any idea what could be causing it? Hallo Edwin, meinst du das der control-win nicht wie SPS verwendet werden kann? Das program ist klein, und realtime brauch ich gar nicht, Es gibt im bus einem Turck inselstation mit 16 ein und ausgange, und ein MTS linearencoder, womit wir teile messen und abschneiden. Die cycluszeit reist auch nicht aus. Processorleisung bleibt unter 20%. Es geht mir darum das der profinet master in fehler geht, und nicht mehr seine telnehmer erkannen kann. Es kan passieren nach 10 minuten, aber auch nach 5 tage. Nur ein kaltstart bringt die bus wieder am laufen. (kein reconnect mochlich, auch die bus scannen functioniert nicht mehr) Wann ich aber ein ipscan durchfure mit Angryip auf der rechner sind alle telnehmer da. Ich habe noch eine andere application mit die gleiche anwendung, aber wo ein raspberry pi die SPS rolle spielt, und das functioniert einwandfrei. Soll ich fielleicht das OS von Rechenr nach linux umrusten? Der operator ist im moment sehr unzufrieden mit die "upgrade" von maschine... :-( lg Tim

Hey there! I am currently doing a little automation project for uni. I am trying to integrate a control-valve-system (Buerkert AirLINE Field) in my IO-Link environment. With IFM sensors, I used their pre-built function blocks, but with this third-party device, i need to write my own function block. Thankfully, IFM provides a generic sensor-fb so I can write my own FB with "extends" and "super". So far, so good. I found the IODD and some other documentation and I thought I get how it works, but somehow can't really get it to work at all. From my understanding, i need to write data into the PDO-Array. But i get confused with the indices and subindices of IO-Link. I'll append the IODD and some screenshots of my project. There is an AOI for LogicXDesigner, but I can't use that in Codesys.
