Thanks for your reply. I belive it is contiguous, I'm writing to adress 0 to 4. Or, do you mean something else? Well, something is happening. If I on the client set adress 1,2,3 to true, only 1 is set to true on the server side. On the client side, the data is array of word. But on the server side, the coils are array of bool. Holding register is array of word on server side. Can this be a problem? Attached screenshot of how it looks at the server side.

The problem is looking for a bug somewhere in CoDeSys in that, when the slave returns, the cyclic data exchange resumes, but the diagnostics do not update and the node continues to resulting off-line. it is not a problem with the PB master, but with its 3S/CoDeSys management. CoDeSys 3.5.19.20 runtime. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thank you.

How large and how complex? It's tough to make a recommendation without additional details. The simplest thing is to just use data arrays (or even arrays of arrays). I'm curious about the impact of having profinet and Ethercat (specifically softmotion so frame at start of task?) running together. Since it's advised to access the data from the bus task should have both profinet io and ethercat on the same task? Are there any implications around this one should be aware of especially since the frame at task start is just, so far as I'm aware, an ethercat thing? Thanks

I'm trying to use an fbMsSQL_compact function to read data from an SQL database. It works with some databases, but there is one database that I can't seem to get it to work on. It's set up the same as the other databases that I've tested with the only difference I see is that the name of the database is cut off in the status message. I'll get a message like "User: User logged out succesfully from database: 12345" But the whole name of the database is something like 1234567.

I'm using a previous visu version, what is the cause of this error, and what can be done to work around it?

Hello everyone, I encountered a problem in the simulation while working. In a test project we set up a Modbus connection. We wanted to simulate this with test values. The connection also worked, but unfortunately the values are frozen and do not report any “current data”. (Picture attached) Since these are my first points of contact with Codesys and my colleague continues to work elsewhere, I was hoping that someone here might have an idea. Hi everybody We are currently working on a project with an RS232 serial COM interface and using the CAA SerialCOM library. We have it working fine reading and writing data, although we have found an issue we cannot resolve and any suggestions would be helpful. We have noticed that after a while the RS232 stops working. We have tracked this down to the HANDLE hCom keeps increasing and when this reaches 1023 the COM returns an unknown error "5003". Is there a way to reset this hCom reference? Thanks Richard

I'm looking to automatically select a text field element in my visualization. I'm not sure if this is possible, as I don't know how to get the data on specific elements. I am wanting automatic selection of the text field, as I am using a keyboard-input barcode scanner, which should always input the barcode into the text field whenever a barcode is scanned. Does anyone know if this can be done?

My MC_Phasing FB was stuck in iPhasingState=1 and error output HIGH on one axis. I could manually overwrite the state to 0 in the instance data. During normal run I see the state change from 0 to 10 to 100 back to 0 (maybe more states that I couldnt catch with the naked eye) But - what are the states numbers and their different explenations? This is not explained in the FB guide on codesys. (the pictures show state = 0 after I reset)

Hi All, I'm using a webvisu on a control Win V3 SoftPLC. My issue is with the Alarm Managers Alarm history. It does create entry's and does also show the latch data. But it only shows the message of the active alarms. In the history the message is empty (also in the .csv Export file). The archiving in the alarm group is checked and the Alarm storage is activated. I'm using the Version V3.5 SP22 Patch 1. Do you have any idea where that comes from?

Hello, im using dynamic memory allocation with the NEW()-operator. When i instanciate a class with the NEW()-operator and want to debug/watch the interface of the class, the watch is only showing "Hidden Instance" (See attached screenshot). Is there any possibility to debug the interface data ? The interface is working properly but the debugging by the watch is not possible, what is a big disadvantage. Thank you. Best Regards, Alexander

I'm looking for a smart and short way to implement initialization of visualization variables depending on the visualization input. For an easy example consider a rectangle which rests at XPos := 0 when the input state is false and at XPos := 50 when the input state is true. My visualization variables look like this: VAR_IN_OUT State : BOOL; END_VAR VAR XPos : INT; END_VAR I put this rectangle via a visualization frame element into another visualization and link a frame reference variable with the state to it. If the variable is true, the rectangle should rest at XPos := 50 and false at XPos := 0 at visualization init but how should I assign the 50 or 0 to the internal visualization variable XPos? I would need some init-methode for the visualization but I dont want a global init-method for such tasks. I want to do it inside of the visualization element but I can't see any solution for this? It would be good to be able to define ST-code within the visualization element which runs cyclic at each VISU_TASK task-cycle then I could just check the input state and change the XPos accordingly. Does someone have a solution?

Hallo zusammen, ich hab ein kleines Problem bei einer Modbus TCP-Verbindung von meinem RaspberryPi (ML) zu einem Fronius Wechselrichter. Ich habe mir die CodeSys Version 3.5SP20 heruntergeladen und die Runtime auf dem RaspberryPi mit aktualisiert. Gerät ist ein Fronius Symo 6.0-3-M Folgende Konfiguration habe ich im Wechselrichter (Siehe Bilder). Laut Registertabelle fangen die Daten bei Adresse 40001 an und gehen im Modus int+SF bis 40120 Ich habe mir also im Ethernet-Adapter einen Modubus Master und darunter einen ModbusSlave angelegt. Der Slave (Fronius) hat bei mir die IP 192.168.2.46 dazu UnitID und Port. Ich habe dann einen Kanal mit den 120 WORDS und dem OFFSET angelegt. Wenn ich nun die Konfiguration übertrage , scheint erst mal alles zu passen.. aber es flackert immer wieder ein Fehler beim Slave auf (kann nicht erkennen welcher und finde auch keine Diagnose). Es werden auch keine Daten übertragen. Alles bleibt auf 0. Ich muss dazu sagen, dass ich noch eine weiter Modbus TCP Verbindung zu einer anderen SPS habe. Die funktioniert wunderbar. Normalerweise sollten ja auch mehrere Verbindungen gleichzeitig möglich sein oder? Wäre top, wenn ihr mir helfen könntet, den Fehler zu finden. LG Chris

Hey guys, I am trying to write a JSON. First time after login in PLC after download everthing works. But when I want to change values during runtime and try to recreate the JSON nothing happens. When forcing the xStart as an impulse i want to recreate it and see 2 as Key3 instead of 1 from the first run. Any Idea how to make this work? I am trying to generate a JSON payload populated with a value that updates for use with a telemetry system, the payload is to be published by MQTT. I have established the MQTT client and can publish a working JSON payload but I can't get the payload to update as the value (iValue) changes. I am using a timer to trigger the .SetValue function periodically, but the JSON will only give the value as it is when it is first initialized using xFirst IF statement. Any suggestions? In my machine's operation, I need to display multiples tables containing arrays of structured variables. The arrays change during operation, and my supervisor has advised me to write a new bubble-sort for each array. I think I can make a function to sort an array of any data type. This was my own project, and I'm a relatively new coder. I want to know the weaknesses in my approach, and a better method, if one exists. As far as I can test, the function accepts an array of a structured variable of any size, and sort it by any VAR in that structure. But it relies heavily on pointers, which I've heard are bad practice? Objective: I want to dynamically update the content with strings and JPEG images received from a TCP/IP socket. For this purpose, I am exploring the possibility of utilizing the Web Browser feature of the Visualization toolbox. Example: In a standard web browser, entering data:text/plain;charset=utf-8;base64,SGVsbG8gc3RyYW5nZXI= in the URL window will display "Hello stranger" on the webpage. Issue: When attempting to use this method in the Web Browser of the Visualization toolbox, the content does not display as expected. Instead, it shows the error:'Navigation to the webpage was canceled.'. Request: I seek guidance on how to resolve this issue so that the Web Browser in the Visualization toolbox correctly interprets and displays the data URI content. Alternative Solution Welcomed: Or, if it is possible to directly use Codesys Structured Text (ST) variables within an HTML page, this approach would also meet my requirements. Hello everyone, I hope you can help me with my problem. I am new to programming and am currently working with a WAGO controller in our lab, which controls a heat pump. My goal is to send the electrical power of the heat pump (Pel_WP) via a UDP connection to a specific IP address. I am using Codesys version 2.3 and following the guide I found here: https://forge.codesys.com/forum/de/396/genmed-Konfiguration%20der%20UDP%20Kommunikation%20Cosesys%20S7.pdf. I have adapted the guide to suit my needs. The data sending works since I can force the reception value Pel_WP and the data is sent accordingly. However, I am having trouble with the receiving part. The reception value is not being correctly received, and the diSocket variable shows -1. The connection between the heat pump and the WAGO controller seems to be set up correctly, as the heat pump is listed under the communication parameters with the correct IP address. I have also attached images to provide a better view of the setup. I would greatly appreciate any support or suggestions for a solution. Thank you in advance!
