I'm looking for a smart and short way to implement initialization of visualization variables depending on the visualization input. For an easy example consider a rectangle which rests at XPos := 0 when the input state is false and at XPos := 50 when the input state is true. My visualization variables look like this: VAR_IN_OUT State : BOOL; END_VAR VAR XPos : INT; END_VAR I put this rectangle via a visualization frame element into another visualization and link a frame reference variable with the state to it. If the variable is true, the rectangle should rest at XPos := 50 and false at XPos := 0 at visualization init but how should I assign the 50 or 0 to the internal visualization variable XPos? I would need some init-methode for the visualization but I dont want a global init-method for such tasks. I want to do it inside of the visualization element but I can't see any solution for this? It would be good to be able to define ST-code within the visualization element which runs cyclic at each VISU_TASK task-cycle then I could just check the input state and change the XPos accordingly. Does someone have a solution?

I'm having some troubles with this same issue and I'm wondering if someone can help me out. On a settings visual I allow the operator to enter some values however if they activate the page change button it will change the change with the Numpad dialog open. Since I'm using Visuelems.CURRENTVISU to change the pages I came across this code noted below for determining if the Numpad dialog was active. This code worked great however now in 3.5.19 it's now obsolete. I've tried following the directions in the attached program above however I can't see to get it to work in my program. Can anyone provide some help to determine if a dialog is open? This "FB_Init" error has become very annoying lately. It's usually related to webvisu and is resolved by deleting all objects and related libraries. Of course, you need to re-add the deleted objects. Lately, we've generally been managing by not upgrading, but this problem persists in every version since SP20 and should be resolved. I updated a project from SP 19 to SP 21 and found 116 similar errors. looks like you are running in a bug in the newest version 4.4.0 of the profinet library or the new library triggers a bug in your code. did you update your profinet device too? you could try to downgrade to an older version of the library. via library manager - placeholders, double click Profinet 4.4.0 in the library column and choose an older version.

Thanks for your responses. The close listener sounds like an interesting approach, will have to see what I can do with it. I actually solved it as suggested by sturmghost by setting an enum variable to a certain state as soon as I open a dialog. This way I always know which dialog was opened last.

FrameIndex : Array [0..MaxUsers] OF INT; Then use the global CurrentClientId (defined by one of the VISU libraries) to index the array element used to select the frame. FrameIndex[CurrentClientId]

I implemented the parts from the CAA Device Diagnosis Example.project and could use it for switching on and off, the CAN devices that were located under the CANbus and CANopen_Manager. But i can't do the same with I2C_master_test_version or devices below this one. In the example project there is only the EtherCAT Master, CANbus and CANopen_Manager, and Ethernet with devices below.

Hi, sorry I was not there for a long time. The TCA9548 needs terminating resistors, do you have them in? That's why I went to QWIIC, the muxboard already has them built in. If it still does not work, try it first without the muxboard. PS: Note the channel assignment. Muxboard 0 = I2C_Master 1,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 Muxboard 1 = I2C_Master 2,0,0,0,0,0,0,0 etc.

What worked for me with this error was to go to Tools -> Update Raspberry Pi, select Install, and from the popup screen, there are options to change your installation (I changed it to single core, instead of multicore), and I was then able to connect to my Rpi 4.

Hi, I just tried the example project with control WIN x64 and for me this is working correct. The only difference is that it is showing 'TabletPortrait' when i hold my smartphone in portrait mode and 'Monitor' when i hold my smartphone in landscape mode. This is because smartphone resolutions have increased i guess... You could check what resoution is detected and change accordingly in IsSmartphone method.

After installing this new 4.12.0.0 SL version on my RPi5 8GB and the latest bootloader, the runtime disappeared after 15secs. The bootloader my pi uses is from 2024-06-11. I was able to resolve this issue using this post: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/be25c0ff66/ The workaround works for me.

Hello, I have an OPC-UA server with an information model. For many values, there is a defined range (e.g., 0 to 100). If a client enters a value outside this range (e.g., 120), the StatusCode should change to Bad. How can I accomplish this? Any help is appreciated! Thank you in advance. I would like to create one large JSON string from an array of objects, where each object contains a value. My current approach involves using a for loop and string concatenation, but with 20,000 elements in the array, this method takes almost 7 seconds and negatively affects the PLC scan time. Is there a more efficient way to accomplish this?

OK, that makes sense. Because the FB is provided a specific interval period, it would change the target position accordingly based on the time it "thought" elapsed. If it has the wrong interval provided, it updates the target positions every cycle incorrectly so the axes will end up moving faster or slower. Thanks!

The string_Util_Intern is not the library I referred to. With a CONCAT function (also with the string util library) a search is done for the NULL character. If you concatenate 20000 characters to one string, then the longer the string, the longer it takes to find this NULL character.

I had this problem when running the application as a Simulation. When I wrote it to the Pi all worked as expected. If this isn't the case for you, we've seen some issues with sqlite on the Pi's - so reset Origin and re-download may help in that case. Good luck, Mark
