Attached the ethercat configuration of the devices. All the devices are set "Optional". So my idea is to enable only the first one (1002) and the fifth one (1006).

in case you are using latest hw revision, there have been added some mac adresses - for the 4.17.0.0 release this might solve it. If not we need to investigate deeper. If it is application related you need to check the plclogger.

If I am understanding what you are saying, then yes that would be your problem. I would create an array of bools on the client side for the transfer and try that. Or if client can't be changed then use words on server and unpack. But I am not sure if you or I are mis interpreting but it sounds a bit jumbled. I don't know what you have control of, but, if you are turning on BITS in the server, you should write to BITS in the client with a Function 15. If you are writing to WORDS in the server, you should write to WORDS in the client with a Function 16.

Internal compiler error in SP22.x (expLValue null) — SP21 unaffected — need help isolating root cause I'm hitting the same internal compiler crash reported here. Same exact stack trace (AssignmentStatementReplacer → CreateAssignmentExpression → ArgumentNullException: Value cannot be null. Parameter name: expLValue), but in my case triggered by a self-written library, not a Visualization object — so this looks like a general SP22.x codegen regression rather than something tied to one specific language feature. What I've confirmed: Reverting to SP21 — no issue, builds clean SP22.x — internal compiler crash during Build > Application, code generation phase, with zero useful location info (no POU, no line number) check_for_errors/precompile-only passes cleanly; the crash only happens on a real full build, meaning static analysis never sees it coming What I've tried to isolate the cause (without success): Removed a suspected pattern involving a VAR_IN_OUT parameter used directly as a FOR-loop control variable, combined with early RETURN inside the loop — crash persisted identically afterward Confirmed no Visualization Manager or similar object in the project (ruling out the trigger in the linked report) Used an AI coding assistant (Claude Code) to search for other suspicious patterns — no luck pinpointing the exact statement Question @codesys-com Since the compiler gives no location info at all, is there any way to get more diagnostic output from the SP22.x codegen phase (verbose/debug build flags, log level settings, etc.)? Without that, isolating this in a large library means blind bisection — cutting the codebase in half repeatedly until the crash disappears, which is slow and error-prone without official tooling support. Hi, I am trying to build a CI/CD pipeline around our codesys projects. The only entry point if the git url and branch, as we do not put our project file under source control, so we needed to find a way to git clone from the python scripting engine. This is currently how we do this : system.commands["Git", "Clone"].execute( "ProjectLocation=" + project_dir, "ProjectName=" + project_file_name, "RemoteUrl=" + project_git_remote_url, "GitProjectStoragePath=" + project_git_local_dir, ) system.commands["Git", "Checkout", "Branch"].execute( "PrimaryProjectHandle=0", "BranchName=origin/" + project_git_branch ) This works fine, except that, depending on the environment and the project, the "Project Environment" popup gets displayed to suggest for some updates, and waits for a user interaction, even with the "--noUI" flag injected as parameter. I investigated the VersionUpdateFlags, but the problem is that the git clone is an atomic operation that clones and directly opens the generated project without the possibility to inject any updateFlags argument (only used in the ScripProjects.open() function. I also tried to simulate some keyboard events acknowledge the window from script but I did not find the right location for the SendKeys statement, I think before the git clone call is too early and after is too late. So I am wondering if there would be some other way to do that. Is there some more proper scripting api for the git add on ? Is there a global configuration of the VersionUpdateFlags that would allow the popup to be disabled outside from any project context ? Is there some way to automatically acknowledge this kind of messages in a "--noUI" mode ? What do you suggest ? I'm having some troubles with this same issue and I'm wondering if someone can help me out. On a settings visual I allow the operator to enter some values however if they activate the page change button it will change the change with the Numpad dialog open. Since I'm using Visuelems.CURRENTVISU to change the pages I came across this code noted below for determining if the Numpad dialog was active. This code worked great however now in 3.5.19 it's now obsolete. I've tried following the directions in the attached program above however I can't see to get it to work in my program. Can anyone provide some help to determine if a dialog is open? Hello I've made an FB which is a TCP server. It uses the excellent CAA NetServices library. If I have the FB in a task <4ms, then the RT crashes immediately at boot up. If the task >=4ms, it starts and runs perfectly. This is even if the block is not doing anything; just instantiated. Am I missing something silly? Why would a low task time cause this? 4ms is perfectly adequate, but I'm just interested why... thanks PH
