Hi all, I am attempting to use the Control Win V3 soft PLC to control a WAGO 750-315 remote I/O system via modbus RTU communication. I am struggling to connect to the device. I have been following this tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YlRfkESaNds I have setup my devices as shown in the images below. I have verified that my com port settings are correct as I am able to connect/control using modbus simulator software with these settings. I have also connected to a modbus master simulator program as instructed in the video, but the orange triangles will not go away. Additionally, I have updated my settings to 485 using the PLC shell. I have also set "always update variables" to enabled (1). Serial port, PCI-Bus, and modbus serial device status all show as "Not Running."

I want to implement an extended I2C master for Raspberry Pi Control. I was hoping for it to be as easy as creating a library with a FB that extends i2cMaster and associating it with a device following the forge drivers documentation, but I haven't managed to make it work as the driver behaves only as an i2c slave. I'm thinking this is because the forge forum only talks about extending i2c, and the master portion is omitted since most users won't want to add a custom one. I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong. Is it really possible to make an I2C master extension device? If so, are there public examples we can check out? Any info on this topic will be appreciated.

The Device sent reply correctly, that it is visible on oscilloscope and it is possible to see that data( reply )are in the device. If the usbtty device is read over external app. then it is possible to see all data which were not taken by ModbusFB.ClientSerial. The stack does not overflow or something , program runs correctly forward and no exceptions or something. The main problem it is that when the error occur than it is not possible to reset port or something or maybe i'm doing it wrong way. please help me with this issue. Good afternoon, After changing the security settings to: CommunicationPolicy: POLICY_BASICSHA256SHA256 CommunicationMode: ALL Activation: Activated UserAuthentication: ENABLED Then generate a new certificate on the device for the OPC-UA server from Security Agent->Device->OPC UA Server. Restart the runtime using tools->Update Raspberry Pi->Stop->Start for the changes to take effect. It may take a minute for the runtime to start. Initiate the connection from the UA server side. You should see a pop-up asking you to trust the certificate. Click on the button 'Trust Server Certificate'. Next, you should see a certificate in the quarantined folder of the security agent in CODESYS. Click and drag this from quarantined to trusted and then try connecting from UA expert to the device. These steps worked for me and my setup and I hope they can help you!

Hello, We are using CODESYS 3.5 SP19.70 in an educational environment with several WAGO PFC200 controllers (CODESYS Runtime). Our campus network is currently configured as a /16, which creates a very large broadcast domain. We observe slow device discovery and long scan times when opening the network view. Before restructuring our architecture, we would like to know the recommended network practices for CODESYS: Recommended broadcast domain size for device discovery Possible impact of large networks (/16) on scan performance Usual recommendations (VLANs, /24 segmentation, etc.) Known limitations or points of attention in extended networks Any guidance or official recommendations would be very helpful. Thank you.

Thanks for your responses. The close listener sounds like an interesting approach, will have to see what I can do with it. I actually solved it as suggested by sturmghost by setting an enum variable to a certain state as soon as I open a dialog. This way I always know which dialog was opened last.

Hi Under tools->customize I have added the command "Generate ethercat xml" to my project so that I can export the configuration as an xml file. I can't find a way how to run that command from CLI, is that even possible and if a script is needed I would appreciate an example ?

Hello, I have the same problem now with 3.5.20 Patch 3. Normally it works if I ad in CODESYSControl.cfg: [SysFile] ForceIecFilePath=0 (This told me codesys last time) I try to use the placeholders but without success. Something special is that the Files are not in C:. The Plc Configuration Path is not as usual C:\ProgrammData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlRTEV3\, it's E:\Control.

Hello, I'm running the lastest version of Codesys 3.5 SP20 Patch 5, with the lastest version of Chrome. And I still get this "Webvisu not supported due to missing browser feature HTML5-Canvas" fallback with a quite simple webvisu containing some buttons, images, textboxed and a grid. What can I do? is that a configuration to change? Thanks!

Yes, either adding in the CODESYSContro_User.cfg because the driver will no longer appear in the list or type the name from the documentation in the configuration and when the gray check mark appears, the driver is also installed. It is just not selectable anymore.

I had similar issues with the OnDialogClosed not being called. I realized that this behaviour is resolved, when the according visualization object on which the input configuration is set is moved to the foreground. Somehow, the object has to be one of the lowest elements in the Element List (i.e. in the foreground) for it to work.

IT updated a group policy that caused this issue. We resolved by going to Local Group Policy Editor > Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Windows Settings> Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options. Set "System Cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing" to DISABLED

Yup, I've been having the exact same issue. A workaround that was working until Visu 4.8.0.0 was using TextList as the type in the frame configuration and then wrapping the text in quotes when configuring it. Im not sure if it will work with variables and I know it does not work if the type is text.

I'm Having the same issue. If I highlight PLC Logic and import it erases everything else and replaces the Task config. If I highlight the Application I get the same result. Simple manual fix is click and drag the task config onto the origional Application, and delete the second one. Easy fix but not the expected result of importing task config.

To search for an exact phrase, put it in quotes. Example: "getting started docs"
To exclude a word or phrase, put a dash in front of it. Example: docs -help
To search on specific fields, use these field names instead of a general text search. You can group with AND or OR.
