Doesnt matter. I have installed sp20 with latest RP 4.13. Same problem. Anyway My large project in RP 4.10 and SP 19 and I need these versions and use same installation programm for Codesys IDE and RP4 package. I did install again, because my SSD broke and now cant update raspberry... I dont know how to translate correctly project to newest version - there are 52769 errors and incompatabilities: after updates libraries anyway some errors still because of devices... I found solution with .deb file from raspberry package - dont need IDE anymore for update raspberry.

However, if faulty EtherCAT cables were the issue, why wouldn't the error occur during normal operation? Why would bad cables only cause problems during a hard shutdown? I don't have the answer to this question. One last question: When you encountered this behavior, did you see a similar error in your logs? i.e, an "AccessViolation" exception in the EtherCAT Task Yes. It was the exeption you can see in attached file.

Finnaly i get it working. There was a line in the file that set the ADS1015 chip in /boot/firmware/config.txt which i removed and after that the ADS1115 has a green turning circle and i got values. i created a new component so it fits our ADS1015. see screenshot. It works also with Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi 64 SL after adding the ULINT_TO_UDINT conversion in the library. i think the chip was all the time in use by the Raspberry pi itself. I have an IIoT License activated on a PFC200 with older firmware 2.08.32 (11). If I flash it to the latest available 4.05.10 (27) does the license get destroyed? I have a back up file '3SLicenseInfo.tar'. But this looks quite a bit different form the backup I got from more modern firmware... 'CMLicenseNew.WibuCmRaU'. Can the new license manager restore it from the old .tar?

After some more digging I realized that I get an error on the PLC Logger saying PersistenceChannel: 150 (invalid type in data: SimpleLibrary). I tried changing the PersistenceChannel parameters to xCompressTags := FALSE which changed the entry in the data file from _xCompressTags BOOL:TRUE _xCompressTags BOOL:FALSE but the actual content of the data file and also the config data did not change.

Hi guys, I have a textlist in my project which is working just as expected in a drop down list. I would like to move this text list to a sd card and access it from there, because I want to ease the editing of the contents of this textlist. I'm imagining a solution like the operator shuts down the plant, takes the sd card out, edits the textlist on the card with a windows machines notepad, then reinserts the card in the PLC and restarts the plant, having the new content of the textlist populating the dropdown list. I'm sorry that I'm asking you to spoonfeed me, but I did not find anything straightforward to do this... I saw in the Project>Project settings>Visualisation a relative path thingy, but I have the plant in operation and I would not like to make 100 trial and errors right now... I'm also not interested in SysLib file read commands and stuff, I would just like to access the file from the cards part, I don't want to replace its contents dynamically or such... nor I have language files or recipes... Hi Dave. Thanks for your answer. I still struggling with this. I have done everything according with the Codesys help even I have looked in detail at the example. I have double checked the recipe manager configuration and the use of all the methods. There are two methods that do not work as expected. I'm using Codesys 3.5.19.20 and recipe management 4.4.0.0 .CreateRecipe just create a recipe in the recipe definition but do not create the file. This have a walk around just giving a .ReadAndSaveRecipe afterwards. .ReloadRecipes do nothing but do not generate any error as well. After calling it I call the .GetRecipeCount and the number is always 0. When I create a new recipe (using the function block methods) then the number changes. Looks like this method is looking to the wrong directory finding nothing. I don't know if there is a missing configuration in the CODESYSControl.cfg file. I'm thinking in a walk around for this but I need to create a strings array with the recipe names as retentive and making all the management when deleting and adding recipes. Have had some one the same problem?

As I wrote before on the title, I have difficulties to connect to see webvisu from localhost. The story: while waiting for the plc+hmi to arrive, I'm preparing the software, mainly the visual parts trough the control Win3 x64 (same version as the ide 3.5.20.10). The problem is that I can't see the webvisu with the installed webbrowser. I don't know if this is a problem, but I changed the port to 9001 (randomly "free") because 80, 8000, 8080, 8088, 3000 are all occupied by other projects (all on the Apache server). Is there something wrong with the config file? This is the url: localhost:9001/webvisu_app.htm and here the config file part "CmpWebServer". I have a project with several buttons and dialogs. Most of the dialogs are opened using the Open Dialog action of the Input configuration of the buttons. Some dialogs are openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB of the Visu Utils library and the FbOpenDialogExtended FB is called in the Execute ST-Code action. I am also using the FileOpenSave dialog from Visu Dialogs which requires an OnDialogClosed action to read out. I realized that the OnDialogClosed action which is meant for the FileOpenSave dialog also triggers if a dialog is closed, which was previously openend using the FbOpenDialogExtended FB. Is there a way to detect which dialog was closed last and specify to which dialogs the OnDialogClosed action reacts?

Hi! I tried setting up the PLC I'm working with (Beijer GN-9373) to connect to a modbus master running on a laptop. I have an ethernet connection (via USB-C to ethernet) between the laptop and the controller. I have tried following tutorial on how to set this up. I have added an ethernet device with the IP-address of the PLC. Further I added a ModbusTCP_Slave_Device with default settings. I get the error "Failed to open TCP Port: 1" when I try to go online with the PLC. Earlier I tested the exact same set up with the soft PLC from codesys. I can then read/write values correctly with the Modbus master i have running on the laptop. Hope anybody can help me with this, thanks in advance!

I'm running the 3.5.18.20 IDE, installed the control for linux SL package from the installer. Following the directions here: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Control/_rtsl_install_runtime_on_controller.html it says: Installing the runtime package with CODESYS on the Linux device Click Tools → Update CODESYS Control for <device> SL.</device> I don't have the update option in my tools menu. I've tried it without opening a project, as well as with a project open that uses the control for linux SL as a device. I have found the update device option by right clicking on the device in the device tree, but this only lets me change the device the project is using not load the runtime on the linux computer. Is there an updated instruction somewhere, or do I need to do some further preparation like install additional packages?

Hello, I have a PLC in a remote location. I can connect to it, but when I use a different PC, it asks me to re-download to the PLC - which will a) interrupt production and b) cause version issues. Codesys being open-source, if someone else has made changes, I need to be able to connect, upload the current project, compare it with mine and then decide what next. Every time I connect, it says Warning: An application 'Application' is currently in RUN mode on the PLC. As there is no matching compile information, this existing application needs to be replaced. Click 'Yes' to download the latest code or 'No' to abort. What am I doing wrong?

I have a version of codesys 3.5.16 on my local machine and a vm. The local machine has loads of codesys versions and libraries installed etc. I can open the FPosCR_Example_Project_SP16_patch1 project on my vm without any errors. On the local machine I get the error C0077: unknown type IoDrvEthercatLib.ETC_CO_SdoWrite. I can, on the local machine, declare a var of type IoDrvEthercatLib.ETC_CO_SdoWrite and include it in the code without adding an extra error. The problem only seems to affect the library. This is seems more an issue with my codesys set up rather than something with festo. I would like to know the possible causes. I understand most of the library manager features but it's not clear how to find the cause. Thanks

Hi all, I've played a bit with the VisuUserManagement library, and some other security option in my project, and I started getting this error when logging in - see attached pic. something to do with a specific screen in the library - VUM_Login. Also, Codesys started to ask me to log in to the library when logging in, asking to log in as user of the groups Maintainer or Owner, which I dont know either users (attached pic). when I close the login screen and try to log in to the PLC again, everything works again until I close and open Codesys. I do use user and password to login to the PLC, and this login screen is fine I know the user and pass I setup. anyone know what did I do wrong here and how to fix it?

Hello all, I am facing issues with using SysCom library. With SysCom23 library things were simple but since we are migrating to 64bit systems, I am writing a Porting program. With SysCom23, opening the comport was as simple as providing the ComPort no. which returns the Handle as a DWORD. dwHandle:=SysComOpen(Port); But the new library is a bit different. It is asking for 2 input parameters to open the Com Port - Port Number and POINTER to RTS_IEC_RESULT IF hCom = 0 THEN hCom := SysComOpen(ComSettings.sPort, ADR(pResult)); How should I use the RTS_IEC_Result? I can find RTS_IEC-REUSLT under SysType2Interfaces of SysCom library. Also, can someone give me a general understanding of this RTS_IEC_REULT and RTS_IEC_HANDLE, etc.?

Hello All, Hopefully I can get some help configuring an OPC UA subscriber in a CODESYS runtime in a Raspberry Pi 5 that tries to retrieve data from an OPC UA publisher (in this case running in a TwinCAT system). I tried to follow the steps described in the page to implement the OPC UA subscriber: https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Examples/_ex_opcua_pubsub.html Seems that the example provided was created with version 3.5.16.0. Now with version 3.5.20.20 is not possible to open the complete project neither convert it. Anyway, after configuring all IPs and ports used in the OPC UA connection function block but the connection state always shows DISABLED. I am already familliar with Codesys's SoftMotion on CANOpen/EtherCAT (to control PLC Open FBs), and I need the same kind of stuff for PROFINET-IO devices; In my configuration, I have a CIFX board from Hischer to enable IRT, the SoftPLC "Codesys Control RTE V3 x64", and a servo-drive from INFRANOR that implements PROFINET / PROFIdrive (with IRT) protocol. Dear folks, I think I have a rather simple question but I could not find the right answer to my question: I have made with Excel a CSV file where I would like to have some general data regarding my program variables. I have made an program what let me read the file. The string I am currently get is at follows: 'IP_Adres;192.168.45.12$R$NPort_number;2000$R$NCycle_time;43$R$NStart_Standard_IO;20$R$N' Now I want to split the string in multiple part, which I later would connect to the right variable. I do not understand where the R after the $ sign comes from, because its place is 24 so it would not be added to the part_of the_string[index]. If I hard coded value 24 for the size it gives me the following return: 'IP_Adres;192.168.45.12$R$N'. I would expect everything till the R but the code adds the $N also to the string. Hello at all I'd like to know how to configure CODESYSControl_User.cfg in order to use a specific network card for OPCUA Server. In the past, I tried to ask in "Forge" about this topic, but I could find neither help nor document informations about it. Reading the file "codesyscontrol.log" I see these logs OPC UA Server Started: Hostname: NTLRPICTRL01, Port: 4840 URL: opc.tcp://NTLRPICTRL01:4840 Loopbackadapter activated. **All available networkadapters are used.** Multithreading activated. 3 workers used. My controller, which is a Linux PC, has got two network cards eth0 and eth1 I whant to use the card with name "eth0" as a server for OPCUA and keep the "eth1" free for other stuffs. Is it possible ?
