I try to add a simple text file to my PLC application, so that is download everytime the application is downloaded to the target. What I did is to add an external file to the application and this works perfect as long as the external file location does not change. It looks like the external file path is stored absolute in project. But if different users work on the project they may have different locations where for their working directory. Is there an option to store the external file path relative e.g. to the project file? Or does s.o. know a different solution to add a text file to application in order to download automatically with the application? Thanks

I’m encountering an issue when downloading CSV files via the WebVisu button input config -> file-transfer option: • Custom directory: /plcdata/csv_logs/filename.csv o Error: Error 4 – Error during file transfer • Sandbox directory: /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/plcdata/csv_logs/filename.csv o Result: Download succeeds without error. Actions taken so far: 1. Added /plcdata/csv_logs to codesyscontrol.cfg (see attached). 2. Enabled file-transfer services in codesyscontrol_user.cfg (see attached). 3. Confirmed that the PLC writes CSV files correctly to /plcdata/csv_logs/. Despite these settings, WebVisu still returns Error when accessing the custom path 1. Using the placeholder file path '$$CSVLOGS$$/filename.csv' and it returns Error 6. 2. Using the literal path /plcdata/csv_logs/filename.csv and it returns Error 4 Could someone please help me determine what additional configuration or troubleshooting steps are required to serve files from /plcdata/csv_logs/? Please find screenshots attached for better understanding and I have also attached the config files

Nope! The file path is $$PlcLogic$$ and NOT $$PLCLogic$$. Otherwise a new folder ('PLCLogic') is created (at least with a linux rt - like raspberry or compute module) with the new file in it if you open the file with eFileMode := FILE.MODE.MRDWR. That is a bad bug that I'll report right after this comment.

Hello everyone Since I have installed Codesys 3.5.20sp2 I cannot get the profinet features working again. Now I get RPC Blocked during device scan (see attached file) and when online I get RPC-call error (see attached file). I run Codesys on the last version of Windows 11, Profinet ports have been added to Firewall rules, and even with disabled Firewall I get same result I really never seen that before Same result using another PC I already spent 2 days to find the issu without any success, I would appreciate some help, thank you! I'm using version 3.5.13. Is it possible to handle Recipe Manager in PRG in this environment? Can you give me a simple example? Although it has been confirmed that the functions work on Recipe Manager, they do not work properly when implemented through FB within a simple PRG. I would like to save the current value as a recipe or load the recipe's value as the current value. And I want to save the recipe as a file or load the recipe saved as a file. somebody help me. (TT)

Hello, i am trying to read multiple lines from csv file with caa file library and oscat. I have wrote 7 lines in the csv with separation '$R$L'. In my "extracting values" part I check line feeds and chars. After that I convert my buffer to string with oscat but I'm only able to read the first line from the csv. No matter if I even change start position where I start converting the buffer, I only get the first line. Hi. I have a problem with MODBUS TCP MASTER. I treid to read HR in range 3027-3037 but I cannot read them. I have modbus slave chanel with offset 0x3037. I checked what I read and it looks like I am reading HR in range 1-10. What I am doing wrong.

I have some Symbols from the Visualization Toolbox on my Target Visu on the Computer. I tried many Symbols, mainly Arrows. I'm able to control the visibility with condition e.g. "GVL.actual_testvalues.speed <= 0" But I can't do "Toggle color" with boolean GVL.b_toggle_color. Neither "TRUE" nor "FALSE" does change anything. Is this a known issue? I'm using CODESYS V3.5 SP19 Patch 5 + (64-bit). See attached file with more Version-Info. I'm currently using Style 6, Gradient axial 2, 3.5.12.0. I had the same issue with Default 3.5.16.0.

Hello I'm trying to use DirOpen to access a directory where then I can read/list the files inside. But I can't list any files because DirOpen.xError is always true. In eError the message is this: " ERROR_UNKNOWN Local library error ID (0: no error; 5101: time out)**** " I have in the file explorer the path 'C:\CodesysTest\Aluminium' and to make sure I also created in the plc a folder to 'prj/Recipes/Aluminium'. I tried using the different paths, but in both it happens the same thing.Inside the folder Aluminium there is two csv files, that I want to list. I added in the library manager CAA Files and CAA Types. I am using the example of https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/CAA%20File/Current/Examples.html#directory but not matter what I do, I can't get the list the names of the files. What am I missing?

Good morning, I'm using a raspberry pi3 as plc with the runtime 4.9.0.0. My program has many of retrain variables but when an update is performed the retrain variables comes back to default values. Is the a way to backups the retrain variables n a csv file? Is still the way to restore them from the csv? Thank you for helping Luca

Try to repair Codesys2.3 and need to uninstall and reinstall it. Got this RUNDLL message when uninstall Codesys 2.3: There was a problem starting, the specificed module could not be found. Please refer to attached file. Followed suggestions from Microsoft website and didn't work out. I am using Codesys2.3.9.16. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for the answer Tim. I am using the codesys version 3.5 SP16, is this also affected or only after version 19? But now at leastI know that is an acess problem to the file and not something else. Unfortunately the link you posted on 2023 are now dead, but I will investigate!
