I am also having this issue. It was working fine for the first 2ish months and is now throwing this error. I can just try and go online again a second time and it works. I'm wondering if there is an environmental variable or something that isn't set that is causing it to use an empty path as a temp directory. The empty path will be the location the app is running from which is that path C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.19.50\CODESYS\Common. The permissions don't allow a normal user to write to that directory which causes the error. It also only seems to happen when there are changes or the build has been cleaned.

We changed the path where the CSV file is. From intern memory of the IPC to a USB key. We still have this error 'INVALID_HANDLE'. We must restart the Codesys runtime to clear it. That is a big problem for us because machine is in production. @eschwellinger What do you mean by "this is a security issue not to read/write in the plc allowed path"

Hello, The title pretty much says it all. When trying to open a FB from the CFC/Ladder/SFC editors while online, the FB does not open in an online view of that specific instance. Instead, it opens an offline view with '???' shown for the value of any variable. This makes debugging extremely cumbersome, as I have to find each FB in the POU window and select the specific instance I am trying to view. Anyone know the cause/solution for this? Thanks.

I have been trying out Unconnected_Send Explicit Message with route path.(The Unconnected_Send service shall use the Connection Manager object in each router to forward the message and to remember the return path. Vol 1.3 / 3-5.6.7) However, I could not see the correct path on Wireshark. I want to see the Unconnected_Send Message Service Code as 0x52 and also the last of the message should have the route path. I want to ask some questions about this topic. The IIoDrvEIPAcylicServices Interface has the IoDrvSendUnconnectedMessage Method. And there is a struct (EIP_SendUnconnectedMessage) for this service. But there is no information about how to implement to project, and if it is successful, does it send a message with 0x52 Unconnected_Send Service Code or not? If that is not a solution, how can I set the Unconnected_Send Explicit Message struct on Codesys? Also how can I send explicit message with route path?

Hello, Is it possible to get the string returned from the ENUM JSONType? I read that with regular enumerations you can add '{attribute 'to_string'}' and access it. However, this is from the compiled library, so I can not add that attribute. When I try to use TO_STRING(JSONType) it returns the integer as a string. Ex. jsonType :=TO_STRING(pJSONData^._aJSONData[i].eType); gives '8' instead of NONE Thanks!

either you have "Insert with namespace" enabled in the SmartCoding options or your GVL_GLOBAL starts with {attribute 'qualified_only'} btw it's considered good practice to put the namespace in front of the variable. you could have variable with the same name in your PRG or FB.

A lower value causes an earlier initialization! If several signatures have the same value for the 'global_init_slot' attribute, the order of their initialization remains undefined! Cautious application should therefore be considered! Example: The project contains f.e. two global variable lists GVL_1 and GVL_2. I try to add a simple text file to my PLC application, so that is download everytime the application is downloaded to the target. What I did is to add an external file to the application and this works perfect as long as the external file location does not change. It looks like the external file path is stored absolute in project. But if different users work on the project they may have different locations where for their working directory. Is there an option to store the external file path relative e.g. to the project file? Or does s.o. know a different solution to add a text file to application in order to download automatically with the application? Thanks

Hello, Recently I upgraded to 3.5.19.50 and have been having errors/issues when doing a download/online change. The message as seen in the attachment pops up. The file in the path is different every time. However when I login again afterwards all works fine. This issue does not happen on older versions. Any clue what the issue could be? I did an reinstall/repair but the issue reappeared again... Thanks in advance!
