Hi! I am trying to achieve the same issue. Has there been a solution? I can create the mapping, and map the local variable, but somehow the object does not update. Furthermore, i have an issue where codesys doesn't let me set ReadWrite accesses to the variables in the "Type Mapping" place. The access will simply not be set. Has anyone ran int that issue?

Hello Everyone, Create separate repositories option not working in latest Codesys Installer 2.4.0 (Build 3545). It seems like a useful option regarding install the different versions of Codesys IDE on the same computer and keep in isolation from each other, but unfortunately it didn't work. For a long time now, I have used VirtualBox on a Linux Mint host to run the Codesys IDE without any problems. Every day, I put it to good use, and it never fails. Wine is not something to be trifled with. Probably not worth the effort. For Linux PLC developers, Codesys Go might be a game-changer. Very excited to give it a try.

I am trying to create multiple branches in my project and I keep getting gaps in the ladder logic "wiring". I'm not sure if this is a graphical error or something else but every thing I've tried to do to correct it does not work. Has anyone else run into this or know how to correct it?

Hi ustad41, cams can be buffered using the BufferMode input of MC_CamIn. If the end- and start-velocity of two buffered cams are not zero, there will be no stop. Not sure this answers your question. Cams can be changes on the fly by aborting the active cam. Please see [0] for details on switching cams. I've tried using the SMC3_BrakeControl function block to control the brake, but unfortunately, it's not functioning as expected. Despite setting the appropriate parameters and inputs, the brake control does not operate correctly. Any insights or suggestions on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your answer! I'm not sure, but it seems this is not what I am looking for. I attached three pictures. The first one is from the Codesys IDE. I use an Information Model to generate an OPC-UA server. I connected via UA-Expert, and there I see the URIs I would like to change.

Hello Zol6, Have you solved this issue? I use Festo PLC CPX-E-CEC-C1 to create alarm monitoring project. In CODESYS V3.5-SP18 I used the Alarm Storage object and have the same problem. Is it the PLC that is not compatible or the version of the library is not match? Best, wb16

As I see from your logs I think the Timeprovider is not accurate enough in your case. Things to check - at the moment you run it on the same device? (for tesing purpose ok) I would set 127.0.0.0 as IP and set it not really to Core 0 ( many other stuff is there)

Thanks Georg for responding. I have followed the suggestion mentioned in the real time problem. However, it does not solve the problem. The weird part is, the robot stops at the same position randomly and it does not stop when I increase the speed of the motion.

Hello, You could not run EtherCAT-Softmotion drives with LMC201 PLC. This Controller has an EtherCAT master but only to run simple I/O devices. You could not use this EtherCAT master on the LMC201 for Motion. Schneider PACdrive Controller use SERCOS and only own drives (LXM62 with Sercos) for motion.

Hello, In our workshop we have a Lenze i950 servo drive that has an EtherCAT bus and CiA402 compatibility. The WAGO is PFC200 750-8212 and as per documentation it has built-in license for SoftMotion Light functionality. It is not capable of supporting the full SoftMotion functionality like gearing and synchronizing. I added the EtherCAT esi files from Lenze and the EtherCAT master does see the drive, then I added a SoftMotion Light Axis object. The problem is that I can only energize the axis, I cannot execute any other commands. I set the positive and negative torque limits from the PDOs to 200% and when I try to move the axis by force it does not move back to its original position. I use the SML function blocks from the PLCOpen library and the error from the function blocks is that the op mode cannot be changed. Then I tried using a standard SoftMotion axis object and everything works fine, except the MC_Home function block. The axis moves back to its position when forced out of it. I follow this guide from Lenze - Lenze i950 CODESYS V3 What could cause this issue with the SoftMotion Light axis object? Best Regards Konstantin Kolev

Hello everyone, I have a working SPI connection (with transferExt) between a Raspberry master with Codesys and an ESP32 slave. I would also like to use a few GPIO pins. Is there a problem with using SPI AND GPIOs? Environment: Raspberry Pi 4+ with Raspian from Oct 23 Codesys V3.4 SP19 Patch 5 with Runtime Version 4.10.0.0 Device: GPIOs B+/Pi2 My problem: The status is displayed as “GPIOs : not running”. And also during mapping the message “The bus is not running. The values shown are perhaps not actual”. However, the variable changes that I make in my program are displayed under “Current Value”. In the Logic Analyzer, the pin toggles during transmission with small intervals of +-4us (seems to be a cyclical disorder, but I don't know where exactly it could be coming from). This applies to pins that I actually use (output) but also to the other GPIOs (not used). With GPIO 4, the line remains permanently high. Attached is a screenshot from the Logic Analyzer. Channel 1,3,5 were GPIO pin 26, 22, 17 Would be very grateful for help. Best regards

Hello @eschwellinger, Why not using one of those 2 folders: C:\ProgramData\CODESYS C:\Users\Public\Documents\CODESYS The main reason is depending on the company and the user right, the end user may not have the access to use those folders. Also having a non version dependent folder may help if the end user uninstall a previous version and forgot all its sample project where in this previous version installation. Thanks.

As you suggest I suppose that problem is in drive setting but i do not see any option about increase standstill torque. That really depends on this third party software you want to use. It is possible that .xml file generated with "Generate EtherCAT XML" will not be recognized as valid ENI file. Anyway, "Generate EtherCAT XML" command is not available through standard menus and needs to be added via Tools->Customize and then Add Command. You'll find it under "Devices" section. If you provide more info, we might be able to help you further.

You have declared the function block in a function and call the instance also from a function. This is not correct, because a function is initialised with every call. The http client function block should be declared as Global Variable if you want to cal it from a Function, but probably it is better to declare it in a Program and also call the instance of the http function block from the same Program.... The variables of a Program are not initialised with each call.

Using Wireshark, I can see that the broker sends the QoS 1 or 2 messages when Codesys MQTT client reconnects but they are just discarded and not acknowledged by Codesys MQTT Client. So the broker holds on to them and tries to send them back to Codesys every time the client reconnects but they are always discarded by Codesys. There really seems to be an issue with QoS 1 & 2 in Codesys. It really does not behaves like it should.

Hi, Is it possible to display the units along the X,Y axis of the Path3D element? It correctly shows the CNC path to be followed, but there's no indication of scale or size of what's being displayed. I looked at the documentation and my first inclination is that this is not possible, and the option option would be to somehow recreate the Path3D functionality into the XY Chart visu element - which is not ideal. Any suggestions or pointers would be appreciated!

The problem is looking for a bug somewhere in CoDeSys in that, when the slave returns, the cyclic data exchange resumes, but the diagnostics do not update and the node continues to resulting off-line. it is not a problem with the PB master, but with its 3S/CoDeSys management. CoDeSys 3.5.19.20 runtime. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thank you.

Not sure if you've resolved this yet, but the Codesys runtime user/password is different than the Linux user/password. You'll need the Linux user credentials when you log in over SSH (for example, to install the Codesys runtime). When you first log in to Codesys on the RaspPi you'll set up a Codesys user and password. If you lost those credentials, you could try uninstalling and then re-installing the Codesys runtime on the RaspPi so you can setup a new user/password.

"There are no objects in the export file..." I am using SP21 Codesys IDE and I do not know which version this XML (*.export) file was previously exported with.
