@eschwellinger do you have any examples of using a USB barcode scanner? I have read through the forums here and I am unable to find how to get the barcode data to populate in a text field without having to first click into the text field to activate it. Is there a library that allows you to access the barcode data? I am really new to this in general any help is greatly appreciated, hopefully you have a pretty clear example

Hello everyone, I'm using the IoT Library to implement the MQTT communication with my local broker server in order to publish and subscribe at specifics topics to share and consume information about my application. But, it seems that are occurring some memory leak problem in a "high" frequency (more than 10 Hz) subscribe process. I follow the same method as in IoT Lib exemples, and at first looks perfect but my PLC was rebooting frequently and when I check its memory usage that was increasing as fast as the subscribe massage was sent. I'm using a WEG PLC410 and a WEG PLC500, and this error occurred in both of them (including in CODESYS Control Win x64). The application sends to the system a message JSON with the float payload Ex. {"data" : 0.8500}, but this happens with a INT, or BOL as well. Hello, like the topic name says, i have a problem on one Visu which i cannot reproduce on another Visu. We filter buttons with input locks and visible items with [CURRENTCLIENTID] on different WebVisu's with different ID's, and one time the itfClient used the same Client ID for 2 Clients, so the Visualization on the first ID was wrong, because that one which connected after did not have the same permissions like the first, so the first one was blocked. Trying the web-version of trend-data. This seems to be a impressive tool, but I lack/cant find a number of what I would think are important parts. There does not seem to be a way to get away from the dot.notated variable naming in the legend.. A developer might want the dot-notation but an end-customer will surely not. For instance I want to display 12 temperatures, instead of t1, t2 etc.. they will be named. gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t1_a gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t1_b gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t1_c gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t2_a .. gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t4_b.. gvl_io.unit[1].trend.temps.t4_c.. Quite a lot of unnecessary text/data taking space from the actual trend => Is there a way to access/interface the legend-data programmatically so I can change the presentation/naming?

hello kevinrn, I've been looking for a solution to the CI/CD issue for a long time. Briefly about me... I am 32 and software architect for Codesys V3 and fullstack dev for web (VueJS, NestJS) in a small company in Erfurt (Germany). https://www.rex-at.de/. Through my web part, we already have CI/CD running well via GitLab (YAML-based configuration file (.gitlab-ci.yml), which defines which pipelines and jobs are executed when certain events occur) with everything you know. Stages for npm packages - prepare (GitVersion, npm install or whatever) - build (vite, tsc or whatever) - testing (vitest, jest or whatever) - deploy (npm packages) And similar for monorepo's or backend services (in NestJS) as DockerImages. For Codesys we have been building an OOP framework for years (~50 libraries now), which is currently managed via SVN and a specially written Svn-Watcher (in Python) gets commits and runs and builds everything together and deploys it to an FTP server and network drive. Why do we still have SVN? Because we are unfortunately still tied to the safety integration of Codesys and can therefore only go to SP15 at most with our controller/Eckelmann. But soon there will be an update and there will be no more obstacles to using Git. Hence my questions: 1. the basic idea is to run a local Windows Runner on some machine? 2. install Codesys on the machine where the runner is running? 3. powershell & python scripts are then used to execute builds (compile, build, sign libraries) & deploys? 4. can the Github action also be used in GitLab? ChatGPT has already told me that it's not the same, but it doesn't hurt to ask. Do you have any ideas on this? Greetings :D

I have a Python program that will handle things in my application such as VISA over IP and Telnet control of instruments. I want the main control and HMI in Codesys. My problem is communication between the two. I have looked at several ways to accomplish this, and settled on having the Python program create two named pipes, one to send information to Codesys, and one for Codesys to send information to Python. The information would be packetized with \n for end of packet.. Seems simple. I think the named pipes method should work, but file reading in Codesys using the CAA file library starts to get difficult when the file is never ending, as in this case. Before I spend too much time making something that may be fundamentally flawed I want to ask. Is there a better way? Is there a way to read the file 'one line at a time' which might solve my never ending file problem? Thanks!

Colleagues, i have the same problems. At the current time, I have to use the new version of the Codesys (3.5.20.10) + Control for Linux SL 4.11.0.0, but it works unstable : theree are a lot of freezes and not-respondings. I tested this on different projects: those that were created in the current version of the project, and those that were migrated from other versions of the development environment. Compiling a project without connecting to a controller is fast enough. The first downloading of the code into the controller, too. But as soon as you need to make edits and download a new code problems begin. Codesys "freezes" at the "Generation code" stage for 15-20 minutes. And only after that time loads the code into the controller. Previously, we used version 3.5.17.60 + Control for Linux SL 4.7.0.0. The process took 1-2 minutes. Do you have any ideas how can i fix it? I will be grateful for your answers.

What are the limitations of the OPC UA Server? I am trying to get data off my PLC that is acquired at high rates (~50k samples/s) so I am storing them in arrays and trying to get the arrays off the PLC. When I attempt to read a ~200k element array through OPC UA the server and runtime crashes (requiring tools -> update linux arm64 -> start runtime). Is there a better way to get highspeed data off? The ACDatalog library seems a bit irritating to use so I would prefer to go through OPC UA.

max. string length in Codesys is 255 chars. It's not possible to cram 20,000 things in a string. If you need to send the data to another device, send the whole data[] array (as byte array, without doing anything to it) and extract the information on the other end. As each struct member has a fixed size (81 bytes, as per you declaration), this will be easy. To save some resources, consider declaring string lengths - e.g. if the max possible length for key is 10 chars, declare it key: STRING(10); and it will occupy 11 bytes instead of 81
