Hello everyone, I meet this problem after installing Codesys SP20 Patch 5 on Windows 11 while the dialog box shows that the installation process has been successfully completed. Every time I open Codesys I get an error that says (Attached image): 'One or more issues ocurred with the current version profile. Please contact the vendor to resolve these problems. The plug-in {....} (Exactly x.x.x.x) is required by the current version profile., but has not been installed. It is highly recommended that the tools is terminated. Do you wanto to terminate now?' Hello everyone, I downloaded the "Example: PLC Chat Net Base Services" example from the Codesys help site to review and try it out. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Examples/_ex_cds_plc_chat_net_base_services.html However, when I open and compile the example program with SP21 Patch2, I get the strange error message below regarding Visualisation component, and it fails to compile. " [ERROR] visuelems, 4.8.0.0 (system): VisuFbTabControl: C0138: No matching 'FB_Init' method found for instantiation of VisuClientObjectMgr " Are others experiencing the error "C0138: No matching 'FB_Init' method found for instantiation..." when trying to compile example projects created with older versions of Codesys with a later version of the IDE? Does anyone have an idea how to run such a spiral on CNC smoothly without stops? SMC_SmoothPath and SMC_RoundPath don’t help. In general according to the documentation they should work on arcs but in the example only straight lines are shown and I get the impression these functions only work for straight lines. Thank you for the response, The empty softcontainer does not become visible unfortunately, but I think I can get that back to working. I think I'm misunderstanding something. You are pointing to the Softcontainer number and the ticket code, I thought that I needed to fill in the virtual control containers serial code is this a misunderstanding? And if this is indeed the case, how is the link between the server (softcontainer) and the Codesys control docker container made? If I have multiple Codesys docker containers running on the same docker server, how is the correct license distributed to the correct Codesys runtime container?

Hello, I'm trying to use the Web Client SL library, I installed it in the IDE (did not purchase a license yet, as this is still a proof of concept so demo mode is good enough) and added it to the library manager. However, when trying to define a FB of the type WebClient I get a "Identifier 'WebClient' not defined" error message, setting the type to Web_Client_SL.WebClient did not work as well. Opening the example project the FBs defined there give the same error message. From the problem in the example project I deduce this is not a syntax problem, so maybe a license problem, but there should be a working demo mode, so what am I missing? IDE v 3.5.21.30 Library v 1.12.0.0 Thanks

Iv been working with a Deep Sea Electronics DSE840 for about 6 months. I have a development version of my program working with a state machine and a basic gui interface. I went to implement CAN and suddenly the text on the gui on the controller is much larger than before. I could flash old versions of my project and the text was the correct size, but if i renamed the project file, the text displayed would be large. The visualization in CODESYS always shows the expected size, but not the controller. I did a fresh install of CODESYS and even a new project with only one text box, I cant get the text size on the controller to match what is displayed in codesys to match. Any advice?

Hello there, I have my ethernet/ip adapter (from Texas Instrument) running on Texas Instrument Board and I have configured the scanner on codesys. I have mapped the I/Os and I can see (on wireshark) the frames coming from adapter but I don't see my input variables in scanner get updated, they just stay at 0. I wanted to see the real data that has been sent from adapter to scanner on codesys. I am not sure if the problem is in I/O mapping or there is a step/s that I have missed. Hi, I'm connecting to a OPC UA Server using the Data Soruce Manager OPC UA Client. This works well until the OPC UA Server updates and the OPC UA list doesn't match up when i did last clicked the "Update variables" to add variables. All the variables are still the exists and none are removed from the server, but more are added during the engineering process. The error message i get in CODESYS is "Error in OPC UA call BadAttributeIdInvalid, Error ID: 268468277". The issues is fixed when i press the "Update variables" button and just press ok without adding or removing any variables in the list. Is there a way to either automatically update the browsepath if it fails or on startup, or to trigger it by code?

Hello, I have the WAGO PLC 200 750-8210. In addition I have downloaded the "WAGO Devices and Libraries 2.0.4.3" and installed the library into the Codesys v 3.5. I then create a new project on Codesys 3.5 and select the device "750-8216 PFC200 (WAGO)" (which I downloaded from the WAGO library). However when I have connected the ethernet cable from the WAGO device to my computer and on my codesys 3.5 i press "Scan Network" on codesys and it does not detect the device. How can I get it to detect the device? (I have put the ethernet cable from my WAGO to the computer, but it does not show the device).

I am trying to show a PDF in a WebBrowser element. I have the file saved to the drive of the HMI/PLC. I am linking it in the URL parameter of the WebBrowser using the following directory link. 'http://localhost:8080/$$sdcard$$/FileName.pdf'. This allows for the program to download without any errors. When I navigate to that screen it is just a white box and nothing shows. I attempted putting the same link in the show parameter and I get a loading icon on my cursor when monitoring the HMI with my PC. Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

Hello I have a problem with Codesys on Raspberry pi with Bullseye The device is not recognized as a Raspberry pi, as I get this error : ooops... this runtime was built for RASPBERRYPI. Hardware version or firmware version not supported! (-18, 0x00000BB8, 0xFFFFFFFB) I'm running Codesys on a compute module 4S with Raspbian GNU/Linux 11 (bullseye), my kernel version is Linux 5.10.90-v7l+ Codesys version is the latest, released last week (4.11.0.0, CODESYS Control V3.5.19.61 for ARM-32Bit - build Feb 22 2024) I know it works on the same device if I use Raspbian 10 (Buster) with Linux 5.4.81-v7l+ kernel, but for some other reasons I have to use Bullseye. What can I do ?

Hello, We use a controller that comes with a bunch of predefined faults. These faults are considered active and historic. They are a 32 byte array but only take up 26 bytes of data. Because of this the historic faults start at address 26 instead of 31. Active faults variable take up address location 0 to 31. Historic faults variable take up address location 26 to 57. Because of this overlap I get an error that these overlap and it wont allow me to download to my controller. This isn't an issue in 3.5.5.4 but becomes an issue in newer version. Is there a way to turn this off? If I change the address location, the historic faults then become broken without doing some manipulation in the code. The software will build just fine. The additional commands, Insert TON box & Insert TOFF box, are present in the Customize Menus or Toolbars when re-opening the Customize options but neither the menu or the toolbar gets updated with these. Would also like to add them in the Ladder Toolbox as there are only 9 items in there which does not include the one mentioned above. Due because of the version I am using ? Any assistance would definitely be appreciated. Thank you Mike

Yes it had been the case I believe as I have seen that message regarding they were not the same. I had update the device though to match them and that still did not fix the problem. I gotta say I wanted to get out of that situation and attempted a lot of things and then I did two things at the same time that fixed my problem: Wiped the 64 bit version and installed the 32 bit version Installed latest SP20 I wish I knew which one of these actions fixed the problem but now I gotta catch up on this IDE learning; it's been quite a learning experience I have to say! If support for a containerized CODESYS runtime with a license isn't feasible, then I've considered an alternative approach: I've purchased and activated a "CODESYS Control Basic S" license on my Windows notebook, where I already have the Codemeter Control Center installed. Upon activation, I can see the CODESYS license as active on my notebook. Subsequently, I followed the instructions provided in this link (https://faq.codesys.com/display/CDSFAQ/How+to%3A+Setup+a+Wibu+Network+Server+Access+for+Licenses) to configure the Wibu runtime in the CODESYS container to access my external license server hosted on my notebook by editing the CODESYSControl_User.cfg file accordingly. However, it's worth noting that I'm still receiving a response from the Licensing Manager indicating that the runtime is persistently searching for a dongle instead of recognizing the soft container. So how can I get my runtime licensed now? Any ideas?

Hello, we are porting a CNC project from codesys 3.5.16 to codesys 3.5.19. The project has lots of CNC programs with variables. now we get hundreds of messages like this. [WARNING] CNC Test SP19: TestCNC SPS: PLC Logic: Application: C0564: A reference to uninitialized variable varCNC is used for initialization of TestCNC_D. Accessing the uninitialized variable may result in unexpected behavior. The objects program_name_D are implicit generated by codesys. I see no way to generated them after the variables. Is there a way to correct the initialization order? We know how to suppress this warning. But we need a clean solution as the warning already saved us in a other nonCNC project. Attached a small demo of the problem.

I'm trying to determine which Codesys Control license I need, the Control Standard S has all the features I think I'll need, but the code size is limited to 3mb, I created a simple program with only 1 line of ladder logic and a simple visualization with a button and an indicator. When I generate code I get some messages, one indicates that the total allocated memory size for code and data is 2.1mb. Is this metric the correct size of the code? I question the size because it exceeds the allowable code size for the Basic S and Basic M licenses and consumes 2/3 of the available memory for the Basic L or Standard S license. What tool can I use to estimate the size of code as it relates to the runtime license limit?

thank you very much! I found the generate_code methode, but struggled with the primary and active_application. With this expample I will be able to play around. If the code generation takes a minute or more I often switch to other programs and don't notify the process is finished. So now I'll get an alert and will switch back immediately. My next little project will be, to beep different if there are errors and a seperate script to do the download incl. the user management data base without stopping at the dialogs asking for onlinechange/complete download and overwriting an existing database and as goody, play a beep/sound again.

Hi, I'm using Codesys control for Raspberry Pi in the latest version (4.11.0.0) When I try to install a license with the new application-based licensing, I have an error "returncode 403046401" (using codesys SP18) I updated to codesys SP20, and now I get the following error: "The selected conainer [0]: SN=..., Version=1.18, Chip=0, Rev=0 does not fit to your ticket. Please select a suitable one." The license I'm trying to install is a Codesys Control Basic L license, with a Codesys Visualization L option, according to the needs of my application. What can I do to activate my license ?

16.4 Epis What has it to do with the manufacture? It just a licence more not. So basicly the idee of codesys sucks. 3s acts like its posible to add a license. And then it depence on the manufacturer. Why ?? Its a computer !! has nothing to do with the manufacturer. Most dont what a basic licence because they have to pay for that. 3s is the problem not the manufacture of the hardware. Its like the licence of the raspberry pi. HMI is not working. Sorry you get a refund. Why suggest that its possible wen its not !!. It cost me a lot of time. Who pays my time. Why do i have to pay for somting thats not working.

Hi, My problem was related to the behavior of the modulo axis, but maybe you will find something useful from what I write. The solution lies in path processing. Codesys offers a G-code analysis tool. Insert a CNC object into the project. The CNC settings object will be added automatically. By inserting appropriate processing modules into the CNC settings object and parameterizing them, you can test the behavior of the axis. When the effect is satisfactory, remember to add the module from CNC settings in the correct order in the processing path. Each CNC machine case is different. You need to spend some time to get your design tailored like an Armani suit. Good luck.

We've been experiencing an issue through SP18, SP19 and now SP20 where the Persistence Variables do not retain if we upload our program via a Boot Application. If we use the exact same program, and perform a Direct Upload via the Laptop and Ethernet connection, the Persistence Variables work exactly as expected. I have submitted 2 bug support tickets but I haven't had a response back from Codesys. Has anybody experienced the same issues and discovered a workaround? We have a requirement to utilise the Boot Application method because of logistical restrictions of being able to get out to every site, so at the moment it's a bit restriction.

ABB Automation Builder v2.5.0.22 Premium CodeSys 2.3.9.62 Running on Win 10 VM x64 Goal: I have an EtherCAT topology issue which normally a "Scan for devices.." on the EtherCAT master would shed some light on. Issue: Upon trying such I get a "No gateway selected" error. Question: How might I point the the "scanner" at a gateway? What is working: Gateway is running in system tray. I can go online to PLC. A scan from the "Diagnostics live" tab of the EtherCAT master gives slave status. What I have tried: Restarting gateway in system tray. Exiting system tray gateway and reloading it. Turning off firewall. Contacting ABB support multiple times. Any help appreciated.
