Hi, ive got the webclient example. So now i want to use it. Ive got an example. but thats some JSON type. As far i know is JSONe som kind of structure. But thats new for me. I have added a models in SiOME which a software to design nodes and add instances. and created a resultant xml file. I tried to import the xml file to Codesys through OPC UA information model Repository the problem i don't know how to view my objects which i have designed. and map it to my PLC to make viewable on my server UaExpert. I watched the tutorial video https://youtu.be/aJhzN3Uk-Do?feature=shared. But it only give you how to add the Information model, and my resultant model doesn't have information type. So how in Codesys i can view a model which i have designed in SiOME and mapped my instances (Objects, Variable or methods) with my Variables in PLC I saw people do it in Tia Portal or other Software, but i have no clue how to do it on CODESYS

Hello everyone I want a communication between my PLC as an OPC UA Server and Labview on my PC as the OPC UA Client. I have an Festo CPX-E-CEC-C1-PN PLC and I have the OPC UA Toolkit from Labview. I created some Variables for testing (see picture 1) on Codesys. I tried to use this Labview block diagram (see picture 2) but I cant connect the PLC to it. What do I have to type in the Server Endpoint URL and what in the Node ID? Is this a good way for communication with a PLC to a PC? If not is there another way?

1) it should be possible to access the type SysTime in the project as A_Lib.SysTime. 2) you could add the SysTimeCore library to the library manager of your library (POU Pool). This might seem as a double library, but because of the placeholder resolution only one will be used. Then, in your library manager of your library, select the SysTimeCore library, right-click, select "Properties" and enable the option "Publish all IEC symbols ...." I run CODESYS runtime as a service and use CmpLog (the LogAdd2 function) to log different events to a file. I have done this many times before on various projects and hardware, and it works fine. On this particular system, I have CODESYS 3.5.20.40 running on a Windows 11 PC. The CODESYSControlService autostarts (with Local System credentials, the default), and the application runs fine. However, the configuration file is not read (or at least not the one that should be, or not the CmpLog section), and log files are not written to the disk. I would be thankful if anyone knew why this is happening and how to fix it. A note to CODESYS people: you must provide more information on the codesys configuration file, CODESYSControlService.exe and other major components and system behaviour. You created the service and various features (i.e. logging), but haven't explained how they work, which, in my opinion, is below standard for industrial automation software. These are my observations: - When running as a service, the config file is not read (none of them), or at least the CmpLog section is not read. I checked the log using Codesys IDE, and the CmpLog parameters are not the ones I have set in any of the config files. Which CmpLog config values does the service use, and where does it read them from? I have no idea, but it's not the config files. Here are the codesys config files I located on the PC's disk: o C:\Program Files (x86)\CODESYS 3.5.20.40\GatewayPLC\CODESYSControl.cfg (only 2 lines in this config) o C:\Program Files (x86)\CODESYS 3.5.20.40\GatewayPLC\AppDataFiles\CODESYSControlWinV3\CODESYSControl.cfg o C:\Users\SRV\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3\C4DBB537\CODESYSControl.cfg o C:\Program Files (x86)\CODESYS 3.5.20.40\GatewayPLC\tempCFG\CODESYSControl.cfg - When I run codesys as an app (e.g. by clicking the icon), this config file is read C:\Users\SRV\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3\C4DBB537\CODESYSControl.cfg and log files are written ok. The icon target is "C:\Program Files (x86)\CODESYS 3.5.20.40\GatewayPLC\CODESYSControlService.exe" -d o the -d option, I think, starts a cmd-like window showing service debug output (the output shown in log in the IDE) o the -i option, again I think, means install the service - I tried adding -d to service start parameters in the registry, but it started only once and after that it refused to start. hi, i am currently trying to adapt an i/o device for a project. the node id is unknown and there is no eds file available. no data is being emitted from the device as a giveaway, the baudrate is known but useless without the node id. is there an sdo request available to determine the id? i cannot get the device to leave pre op status even with a global nmt request. please help. no hair left.

Hi, using the ElementCollections Library, why isn't it possible to mutate a value found within a HashTable? From what I understand, the only way to change a value would be to use the RemoveByKey(), followed by AddKeyValuePair(). My goal is to use a Data Structure that works like a Dictionary in Python. The HashTable seems to come close to this, except that the values themselves seem to be immutable... In python, we can mutate a dict easily (see attached picture).

Hi mate, With this snippet i was able to see the lastusage variable count, but it would not iterate between clients? i was only able to access the data of the target visu. it threw an error with the array of pointers stating it was not able to convert etc. also when i tried it with the while loop it created an endless loop and crashed the program. any ideas? Thanks for your reply. I belive it is contiguous, I'm writing to adress 0 to 4. Or, do you mean something else? Well, something is happening. If I on the client set adress 1,2,3 to true, only 1 is set to true on the server side. On the client side, the data is array of word. But on the server side, the coils are array of bool. Holding register is array of word on server side. Can this be a problem? Attached screenshot of how it looks at the server side.

The problem is looking for a bug somewhere in CoDeSys in that, when the slave returns, the cyclic data exchange resumes, but the diagnostics do not update and the node continues to resulting off-line. it is not a problem with the PB master, but with its 3S/CoDeSys management. CoDeSys 3.5.19.20 runtime. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thank you.

I'm curious about the impact of having profinet and Ethercat (specifically softmotion so frame at start of task?) running together. Since it's advised to access the data from the bus task should have both profinet io and ethercat on the same task? Are there any implications around this one should be aware of especially since the frame at task start is just, so far as I'm aware, an ethercat thing? Thanks

Searching for it I came across this https://www.codesys.com/fileadmin/data/Images/System/Releaseinformation/Patch-Note-CODESYS-Visualization-4300.html which says it was a bug VIS-1394, fixed in Visualization 4.3.0.0. I'm using a previous visu version, what is the cause of this error, and what can be done to work around it?

Hello everyone, I encountered a problem in the simulation while working. In a test project we set up a Modbus connection. We wanted to simulate this with test values. The connection also worked, but unfortunately the values are frozen and do not report any “current data”. (Picture attached) Since these are my first points of contact with Codesys and my colleague continues to work elsewhere, I was hoping that someone here might have an idea. Hi everybody We are currently working on a project with an RS232 serial COM interface and using the CAA SerialCOM library. We have it working fine reading and writing data, although we have found an issue we cannot resolve and any suggestions would be helpful. We have noticed that after a while the RS232 stops working. We have tracked this down to the HANDLE hCom keeps increasing and when this reaches 1023 the COM returns an unknown error "5003". Is there a way to reset this hCom reference? Thanks Richard

I'm looking to automatically select a text field element in my visualization. I'm not sure if this is possible, as I don't know how to get the data on specific elements. I am wanting automatic selection of the text field, as I am using a keyboard-input barcode scanner, which should always input the barcode into the text field whenever a barcode is scanned. Does anyone know if this can be done?

My MC_Phasing FB was stuck in iPhasingState=1 and error output HIGH on one axis. I could manually overwrite the state to 0 in the instance data. During normal run I see the state change from 0 to 10 to 100 back to 0 (maybe more states that I couldnt catch with the naked eye) But - what are the states numbers and their different explenations? This is not explained in the FB guide on codesys. (the pictures show state = 0 after I reset)

Hi All, I'm using a webvisu on a control Win V3 SoftPLC. My issue is with the Alarm Managers Alarm history. It does create entry's and does also show the latch data. But it only shows the message of the active alarms. In the history the message is empty (also in the .csv Export file). The archiving in the alarm group is checked and the Alarm storage is activated. I'm using the Version V3.5 SP22 Patch 1. Do you have any idea where that comes from?
