I had the FB called via a for loop to call a few instances of my FB I have removed it the for loop and just called them 1 by 1. Hey there! I am currently doing a little automation project for uni. I am trying to integrate a control-valve-system (Buerkert AirLINE Field) in my IO-Link environment. With IFM sensors, I used their pre-built function blocks, but with this third-party device, i need to write my own function block. Thankfully, IFM provides a generic sensor-fb so I can write my own FB with "extends" and "super". So far, so good. I found the IODD and some other documentation and I thought I get how it works, but somehow can't really get it to work at all. From my understanding, i need to write data into the PDO-Array. But i get confused with the indices and subindices of IO-Link. I'll append the IODD and some screenshots of my project. There is an AOI for LogicXDesigner, but I can't use that in Codesys. From your examples I was able to manage the different factories, even for custom elements. Now I need a hashtable, but with this object I’m running into a lot of random access violations. If I append something inside FB_Init after constructing the hashtable, it crashes, even though the list was already created. If I only create the hashtable in FB_Init and append afterwards, it usually works. I just installed codesys runtime on a raspberry pi Cortex-A72 (ARM v8) 64-bit SoC @ 1.5GHz (Compute Module 4) I am running on Codesys control for raspberry pi 64 SL ver 4.13.0 and I keep getting a crash after about five to ten minutes. This program was running fine on a 32bit system with runtime 4.8 previously but they upgraded the panel PC cause it got smashed. Looking at the logs I see this error "ERROR: GetNetLinkSockAndInfoByMac(): could not open netlink socket: Too many open files" at the time of crash. I do have a UDP socket open for a serial to ethernet adapter and im wondering if maybe its opening a bunch of sockets and while receiving messages, Im not sending anything to the device only receiving. Hi CoDeSys support forum, hope that this is the correct place to ask this. Might be double as i am new to Codesys and dont know all terminology. I am trying to test Codesys with a virtual plc on a raspberry pi 5. Already figured that i need Tools -> Deploy Control SL, enter Communication parameters. Codesys says "Connected". Then tab "Deployment", there i select "CODESYS Control for Raspberri Pi SL" and "4.16.0.0 (all)". Click "Install" and the gui turns grey and unresponsive. The titlebar says "Untitled1.project - CODESYS (Not Responding)" as well. Restarting Codesys and checking shows no package was installed. How to deploy the runtime? Thank you in advance for your time. Edit: After some patience, an error showed up: "Error when sending ssh heartbeat: Session operation has timed out" "Error installing codesyscontrol" Any pointers to what remote command might have failed, or log of some sort, would be welcome. Hello, Exulting the command /opt/CoDeSysControl/Files/run restart debug I get this response from the linux terminal:(ScreenShot1 to ScreenShot7) When I try to reconnect via codesys this line appears at the linux terminal level:(ScreenShot8) A few seconds later, the error window appears on Codesys.(ScreenShot9) I see that following the command /opt/CoDeSysControl/Files/run restart debug there are errors, are they the problem? Hi all, in Alarm management you can latch some variable to show value within the alarm msg. It´s very useful sometime. But I´m wondering whether there is any possibility to represent that value as Text list. It´s quite common in other HMI tools and this is very useful in case of using some ErrorID for detail specification of error. Hi, I am using a PCAN mini CAN board which has the Windows drivers installed on the target PLC. PCAN board can be seen in device manager. However, I am getting "No CAN driver found" error. I have read the post https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/CODESYS-V2/thread/44aae19318/ and have uncommented the CmpPCANBasicDrv driver in the CodesysControl.cfg file in development PC and have copied it to the target PC. Current CodesysControl.cfg file attached. Is there anything else I am missing? Regards

I can't recall how I solved it and whether it was a problem with my codesys installation or the project itself. If it is the codesys installation, make sure all your required libraries and plugins are installed and available. compare with a colleagues installation if possible. I vaguely recall saving a copy of my project and deleting things one by one until the error went away...

I'm having trouble with the initial loading of recipes. I can create them and load one or the other, but when the program restarts the recipes are not listed. I'm calling: RecipeManCommands.ReloadRecipes and then RecipeManCommands.GetRecipeCount which returns 0 recipes. None of the methods returns error and if i call them again after RecipeManCommands.CreateRecipe RecipeManCommands.ReadAndSaveRecipe getRecipeCount returns the number of recipes created. I have developped a function block 'Axis' the inherits from 'AXIS_REF_SM3' -> FUNCTION_BLOCK Axis EXTENDS AXIS_REF_SM3 In my global variable list I define a variable MasterDrive of type Axis and assign Axis1. Axis1 is a virtual drive (AXIS_REF_VIRTUAL_SM3). This type should inherit from AXIS_REF_VIRTUAL. VAR_GLOBAL MasterDrive : Axis := Axis1; However I get the error 'Cannot convert type'. What is the way to obtain what I want : function block inheriting AXIS_REF_SM3 and initialising this function block with a Softmotion virtual or real axis?

I have experienced the same with one of our customers after updating EIP Scanner to 4.6.0.0 and really baffled by it. The core dump simply shows error with ENIPScanner I/O task and on analyzing it says no source code available for 4.6.0.0. Contemplating to go back to 4.5.1 but 4.6.0.0 has some really nice fixes. I guess it don't matter if it crashes anways. Please keep us posted if you find anything.

Make sure the number of bytes matches the values in the Ethernet/IP>Assembly Information section of the Wagos web management page (expand by clicking on the +). The EDS file will probably have defaulted to assemblies 101 and 104. If you want a different assembly there is an article that tells you how to modify but seems to be unavailable at the moment. An alternative is to modify the .eds file to change the default assemblies.

Your connection configuration should look something like the attachment. Consuming assembly O->T will be the hex of the assembly you want to reference for output data - I want 102 (DO Data Only) shown in the Wago web page 102 = 16#66. Producing assembly (T->O) is the assembly you require for input data - again shown in the Wago web page - I want 108 (DI Data Only) or 16#6C Then set the number of bytes as per the data in the Wago web page too (both 2 in my case)

Hello, if I try to use ERR_Ok in my code to check whether the file is open correctly or not, I get an error "Identifier ERR_OK not recognized", I can use plain 0 (zero) instead. Hi mate, With this snippet i was able to see the lastusage variable count, but it would not iterate between clients? i was only able to access the data of the target visu. it threw an error with the array of pointers stating it was not able to convert etc. also when i tried it with the while loop it created an endless loop and crashed the program. any ideas? hello. After installing the latest version of codesys (3.5.20) from codesys installer, I had a problem. All my devices disappeared. Both PLCs and IO modules and network devices disappeared from my list. I browsed through the Windows files and I can find them in the programdata/codesys/devices folder. The files remain there, but they are not available within codesys (same error in all installed versions) which in this case are 3.5.16 and 3.5.19. Does anyone know how I can reimport or resynchronize my devices folder again? Thanks
