Hallo zusammen, hi all, ich habe den gleichen Fehler. Auf einem Raspberry Pi geht der Fehler weg, wenn ich alles bereinige und dann vollständig übersetze. Wenn das Projekt im Codesys Development System wieder neu geladen wird ist der Fehler aber wieder da. Mit eine Win V3 x64 PLC kann ich den Fehler nur unterbinden wenn ich auf der HMI das VUM_Login einbinde. Dieses brauche ich aber nicht, da ich die HMI für das User Management selbst gestaltet habe. Das funktioniert auch. I have the same error. On a Raspberry Pi the error goes away if I clean everything and then compile completely. When the project is reloaded in the Codesys Development System, the error returns. With a Win V3 x64 PLC I can only prevent the error if I integrate the VUM_Login on the HMI. But I don't need this because I designed the HMI for user management myself. That works too. Anyone have an idea to fix this problem. Many thanks

I ordered a cheap managed switch and tested it as soon as I received the switch. It works great! I even went a bit further. As you can see in the screenshot, I created 2 Codesys containers. Each one having 2 fieldbuses. The first one has EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP and the second one has EtherCAT and Modbus/TCP. All going through the same ethernet port from the PC to the switch. The switch splits it up into 4 different networks. The hardest part was to figure out how to configure the switch. @eschwellinger, thank you very much.

Hi everyone, so a little update to this, I've come back to this project in the new year, and got it working. Yeah!, However, now with the new licensing setup, I need a new SoftMotion license, but it doesn't seem to be compatible with the previous Raspberry Pi SL license. Has anyone had any luck with Raspberry Pi and SoftMotion_Lite? Specifically the licensing of such? My customers new installation needs to be rebooted every 30min which is causing headaches! Another option is to not use the SoftMotion function blocks, and control the EtherCat amplifier directly, but I'm not sure how to do so. Does anyone have a specific example project of how to control a servo without the use of the SoftMotion function blocks? Thanks everyone for any assistance rendered. It's very much appreciated! Toby

The simplest way to do this would be to add a bus coupler dedicated to the expansion IO. The EtherCAT network does not fault when modules connected to the expander are not present. In the image below, nothing below the red line is present in the network - with the network working correctly. In your "base" project, simply include all of the possible modules, and then plug them in as you add pumps to the system. I would also highly recommend against the use of direct addressing. There are other methods to accomplish this, including using the "Optional" checkbox for modules and explicitly addressing them. EtherCAT is a point-to-point protocol so it doesn't need a unique MAC address. It would be very useful to set the MAC address to 020000000000, the standard address for this kind of application. (The important bit is the 02 at the start of the address, which means locally-administered MAC.) The stock Windows driver can do this for my i210 card. But the CODESYS CmpEt1000MPD driver cannot. The image shows the setting with the Windows driver. If I set all my customers' cards to this address, then I don't need to deal with this when deploying my application. A simple PowerShell script can be used to set the MAC address once when the NIC is installed and the driver is changed.

I want to programmatically write the alias address to a new EtherCAT slave when I plug it into my IPC EtherCAT network. I am looking at the ReadWriteEEprom FB and see that one of the elements is "pbyData". which is the pointer to byte that is usually set to 2048 bytes. Since I am setting the alias address to the EEprom only (EEprom address 16#0012), I would assume that what I am writing is 2 bytes only. Does the pbyData have to be specified as ADR(myArray) where "myArray" is the 2 bytes of the alias address? How is the best way to set this element of the function block? Thanks in advance

Hi! Im slowly starting to loose it and i need som help! After a few night of reading up and testing i´m still stuck as a rock and you guys and girls are my last resort for this project. Basic facts; Win 11 Codesys 3.5 SP19 2 + (64-bit) Raspberry pi 4 model b 2 gb Raspian release 11 aarch64 What keeps me up late at night; Username and Password when trying to connect to device and device only beeing connectable for a few seconds. Some of the things I have tried; Username and passord; Credientials from the raspberry Administrator Administrator admin admin Admin Admin administrator administrator Usernames and passwords that I sometimes use (this was a longshot i know, but i was running out of ideas and energy). :) Epand filesystem, activating i2c, spi, 1-wire I can start the gateway and start the runtime. I cant install the edgearm64, arm64 runtime package eventhough I guess i should, i get code [ERROR] Error output: dpkg: error processing archive /tmp/codesysedge_edgearm64_4.8.0.0_arm64.deb (--install): [ERROR] Error output: package architecture (arm64) does not match system (armhf) [ERROR] Error output: Errors were encountered while processing: [ERROR] Error output: /tmp/codesysedge_edgearm64_4.8.0.0_arm64.deb code as a respons. I have tried to Reset Origin Device - no change. I have tried to remove the /etc/CODESYSControl_User.cfg [CmpUserMgr] but i could not find it and i was not sure if i should add it instead but i did not want to mess somthing up. I have tried to create a second gateway with the specific ip if the pi, that did not help. Could it be that i´m currently connected to the pi through WIFI? I can ping the pi and I can connect and control it through VNC. When i scan to select gateway target (scan edge gateway) i find 17-21 devices but can find the pi throug the mac adress. I started of trying to use the "CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL" (I have a license sience earlier) as i read somewhere that this could be used on a Pi4 as well but now i´m trying with the MC SL, no changes, same problem. Right now - gateway version 4.8.0.0 (edgearmHF, armhf), Runtime Package 4.5.0.0 (raspberry, armhf). Any sugestions are very welcome! I am trying to push changes to a GitHub repository. I set up the Git Remote with the correct URL and committed the change. When I push the change it asks for my GitHub credentials which I know are correct, when I type in my username and password it gives me an error: "The provided credentials seem incorrect." So I tried putting in my Person Access token and when I put that in with my username I get this error: "The server request failed and returned a HTTP error code 403: Forbidden". Does anyone know how to correctly use Personal Access Tokens from GitHub with Codesys Git? Does it have to do something with the remote url or my username? Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Build: CODESYS 3.5 SP19 Patch 1 (64-bit) Host OS: Windows 10 Target: Linux SL I have a project with programs in Structured Text and Ladder Diagram. When I try to use the Find function, it works for the Active Editor; however, when I try to use Find for the Entire Project, I get the error "Object reference not set to the instance of an object." I know what this error means in the context of the program, but I have no idea why the find function is returning this error. The variable I am searching does not matter: it happens with all variables. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated. I generally use the Find function quite often as I am developing and not having it is really slowing me down.

In the ScriptingEngine documentation there seems to be an error (or missing information) in the ScriptIecLanguageObjectContainer part ( https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/ScriptingEngine/ScriptIecLanguageObjectContainer.html#ScriptIecLanguageObjectContainer.ScriptIecLanguageObjectContainer ). The description of the function create_pou() doesn't specify the correct arguments requested, it only says create_pou(type: SpecialPouType) and a script using the documentation definition of the function will raise an error. In case of error while opening the file to read you assume that the file doesn't exist and try to create one. But it could be that the SD card is not ready yet or simply not there. I would try to check first if the SD card is there and accessible. Otherwise with FILE.Create you could end up creating a new directory that is not mapped to the SD card. This would explain the errors even after a reboot, though it doesn't explain the READ_ONLY_CAA error I guess? I would use FILE.DirOpen and FILE.DirList to check if the SD card is there and ready.

Thank you for your quick response, I have updated to the 4.17.0 (Virtual control and the license server). Now I am able to see the softcontainer from the Codesys IDE. But when I want to activate the license I get the following message: Licensing info not available. The device does not support this service (See picture). I then tried to active it via the WBM service like you suggested. But when I try this is get an error (see picture for error). I also tried to put RTS- in front of the serial number, but when I try this I get an error that the serial number is not correct. I think I'm getting closer, but I'm not there yet.

My goal is to make the Y-axis limits dynamic so they can adjust according to the installation. Hi, I’m currently testing the Codesys Redundancy application with 2 Raspberry Pi, with the idea is of using in my project 2 Wago PFC200 and 1 Ethercat Master with 2 Remote IO. After I configure the redundancy, and one Pi is Active and the other is Passive, if I disconnect the Ethernet cable of the Active, the Passive become Standalone, which is good, but the problem is the following: -When I recover the Ethernet connection, both stay Standalone. They will NOT Sync until I do it manually in the Codesys environment. How to make the synchronization automatically? -If both Pi/PLC stays Standalone, who is managing the IO? (Ethercat and Serial) I have done a test with an Modbus Slave, where I am sending a counter that increase every second. And I see that when both PLC are standalone, they both keep an active connection with the Slave, and both write values. This does not seem good, since according to this in my project both PLC would try to control the IO at the same time. Note: The Codesys have an option (greyed out, not possible to select) which says “Auto Sync”. What is the purpose, and why I’m not able to select it? I'm using Codesys Control for Rapsberry Pi 64SL Runtime in my test environment (2xRaspberry Pi 4), with the idea of using Codesys Control PFC 200 Runtime in my project (2xWago PFC200 and 1 Ethercat Master with 2x Wago 750-354 Ethercat Fieldbus Coupler). Using the last Codesys 3.5 version (SP19 PAtch 5). I'd appreciate a lot any help on this questions!

I not try to open project but i open Codesys and then create a new project and when try to generate code i have the error :/ I notiche a strnge situation. I have two different software on my pc: CODESYS V3.5 SP15 Patch 4 (with this my new program not work but can open and work with some course example); CODESYS V3.5 SP19 Patch 2 (with this my custom program work) Wich version i must be choose? Unfortunately, the "C0138: No matching 'FB_Init" method found" error is a nightmare for CODESYS V3.5 SP21. I'm not sure if anything has been done about this or if anything will be fixed. I've encountered the same issue many times, and it was only resolved by completely uninstalling SP21, deleting all related files and folders from my computer, and then installing SP19. So, I've given up on using SP21 and switched back to SP19patch7. This "FB_Init" error has become very annoying lately. It's usually related to webvisu and is resolved by deleting all objects and related libraries. Of course, you need to re-add the deleted objects. Lately, we've generally been managing by not upgrading, but this problem persists in every version since SP20 and should be resolved. I updated a project from SP 19 to SP 21 and found 116 similar errors. Hello, I am currently trying to use the AM243 LaunchPad as a PROFINET device and connect to it using CODESYS. In my setup I am also using a Raspberry Pi running the CODESYS PROFINET Runtime, which acts as the PROFINET controller. The setup of the Profinet controller is correct, so all devices are in the same subnet. However, I encounter an issue when scanning for PROFINET devices in CODESYS. The AM243 LaunchPad appears in the scan results, but the following error is reported: RPC Aborted: 0x16C9A049 Additionally, CODESYS shows the message that the identification data is not available and the IP address should be checked. Because of this error, the controller cannot establish a connection to the device. Another observation is that I cannot ping the AM243 LaunchPad from my PC, even though I configured what should be the correct IP address. Setup: PROFINET Device: AM243 LaunchPad PROFINET Stack: Industrial Communication SDK example PROFINET Controller: Raspberry Pi running CODESYS with PROFINET Runtime Engineering PC: CODESYS IDE Network: Ethernet connection between PC, Raspberry Pi, and AM243 In the attachments there is a screenshot of the corresponding error. I am running ubuntu on a raspberry pi, and installed an application based license Control Basic M on it, it runs a demo program fine, does not timeout etc. however, when I add a modbus TCP device, I start getting errors: <Entry severity="error" component="CmpApp" user="nobody" timestamp="12/18/2023 3:49:42 PM" infoId="24">Online change denied. Application Application is in exception state!</Entry> <Entry severity="error" component="CmpApp" user="nobody" timestamp="12/18/2023 3:49:42 PM" infoId="68">Download failed: Application=Application</Entry> <Entry severity="exception" component="CmpApp" user="nobody" timestamp="12/18/2023 3:49:41 PM" infoId="0">Application app=Application has invalid license metrics!</Entry> the modbus tcp slave runs, and the counter ticks up, however, when I call the variables on the %IX0.0 in my program, and try to upload the changes, I am getting the error messages which stop the program as far as I understand, the application based, M includes 2 fieldbus instances, but on the other side is fairly new, anything obvious I am missing out here?
