Hello Everyone, The "Auto Declare" window disappears by itself in the Ladder editor. For example, a new function block is wanted to be added to the Ladder editor. (For example; MC_Jog block and instance name will be fbMcJog). To do this, "Empty box with EN/ENO" is added to the ladder line from the Toolbox on the right and when you type MC_Jog in the empty box and press enter, normally the "Auto Declare" window appears and you are expected to be asked to write the instance name here. However, this "Auto Declare" window closes itself immediately, it does not wait for the user to enter a value or close the window. I often encounter this situation in many IDE versions. Does this seem like a bug? If anyone has encountered a similar problem while creating a new program name, function or function block instance name regarding the "Auto Declare" window and knows a solution, I would be glad if you could share it. Naturally, I'd like to align my current (not end-user) developments accordingly. I'm tracking , reading release notes, ... And want to figure out the future :) Is it possible to hear / read more about the reasons, objectives and scope of these changes? One important element is CAA Types - CAA Types Extern. What is the plan with that? What's the future of CAA.SEMA, CAA.BOLT ? I have never used them (always relied on SysLib*), but they are tempting... Would be useful to have a platform independent "Macro" for this functionality... Is there something in existing or planned ? Are they suitable to be used in low level libraries... For Example IO-Drivers, Components, "to-become system libraries"? CAA.TaskLock, CAA.TaskUnlock ? Well, they don't claim platform independency, so I can't rely on those.... Any up-to-date advise, standard, pattern to follow in new libraries for task and resource locking? Practical set of conditional defines to be used? I have a Raspberry Pi 4 we have been using for years to run CODESYS for development purposes. I recently have had to re-install the OS (Raspberry OS lite). The only change to the default configuration is not creating the "pi" user during install. I (apparently successfully) installed the 4.10.0.0 control on the Raspberry Pi. We have licences on a dongle. I am able to start the control. systemctl status shows it as running for a little while (exactly, precisely 30 seconds as per my tests, every time), then it becomes exited. I can restart the control, and the same thing happens again. Every time. In the brief moments it is running, I can log in to the PLC. Working fast and restarting the control many times, I have been able to configure users. I have been able to download my application. I have been able to run the application, and stop on a breakpoint. I have been able to connect with the licence manager and confirm the dongle is detected and licences are listed as OK. I see nothing wrong until the service just exits. I have found nothing in the logs. It is like the runtime just terminates with no error code or message after exactly 30 seconds. Any help would be appreciated.

In Windows I need create shared memory in PC software and connect from CODESYS. If shm is not GLOBAL doesn't work due different users between runtime and PC software. PC software need admin privileges. Name need "Global\\" before key. Very unsafe!!! If CODESYS create shared I cannot find key PC side. In Linux I can create shared memory as standard user, bind in the runtime docker, use keys without any "Global\\". Much more safe!!! If CODESYS create shared you need play with permissions to use app as standard user. I prefer create form PC software as standard user.

Following up on the invalid user authentication on the target Not 100% sure what the problem was but following my post I managed to create an administrator level user. Then my next issue was that I could not connect to the device. I might have flipped the device from a 64 bit version to a 32 bit version so I did UPDATE DEVICE back to the 64 bit version; still could not connect somehow. Then I did two things at the same time that fixed my problem: Wiped the Codesys Control Win 64 bit version and installed the 32 bit version Installed latest Codesys Control Win V3.5 SP20 (released today) I wish I knew which one of these actions fixed the problem but at least the problem is solved. Hoping this post may help someone one day

Using Codesys runtime for Linux and thinking of the process of preparing multiple such systems for my customer. I don't necessarily have physical access to these units, they can be (very) remote. The idea so far is to use an image to install the Linux OS and codesys runtime. Application updates can be done by distribution of the PlcLogic/Application/application.app and application.crc files. But whats the most practical way of managing the license for these units? Do each controller need to be physically connected to a License Manager instance or can licenses be distributed by means of a license file for each unit? But this package has dependencies packages: CODESYS.Control SL Extension Package, V4.0.0.0 CODESYS.Control SL Deploy Tool, V4.10.0.0 As I said, the computer with CODESYS is offline. I cannot use the package installer to search for these packages. I did not find them in Codesys Store with another computer. Do you know where to find and download them? I have tried downgrading and it seems fine now. I am now on version 4.3.0.0 for the library. Mainly the PN controller caused the issue for me. Funny weird is that even the PN controller versions 4.3.1.0 and 4.3.0.0 cause the error. Version 4.2.0.0 works fine.

Is it possible to make a function that checks to see if there are any open dialogs on a given clients. I think VisuDialogs.VisuDlgUtil_IsDialogOpen does this for a given dialog name, but is it possible to do this for any dialog. Appretiate any help Cheers Callum

For an other Application we want to shared the whole GVL off obne part (e.g. GVL_Test). How cvan I get easy the Size and the Address for meory copy?

Hi, For many years my application has been running on Raspberry Pi. Now I have ported the application to a PC running with Debian OS with Codesys Control for Linux SL. Most of things works. But some is wrong with serial ports. Firstly , I wonder why /etc/CODESYSControl.cfg in Debian is empty ?

Hi We delivered a system with a PFC100 using the CODESYS Control for PFC100 SL runtime a few years back. The system has once been decommissioned and are now to be commissioned again. Back then, there were only single licenses for the runtime. Can I now upgrade the firmware and runtime without purchasing a new license?

I am currently having the issue that Codesyscontrol only runs for 10 seconds on my Raspberry Pi 4. I believe the problem is because the MAC address range is of the Raspberry is 88:A2:9E:XX:XX:XX. When will Codesys Control For Raspberry Pi 4.17.0.0 be released to fix this issue?

It is not needed to add Targetvisu connector - for using the TargetVisu for Linux. The reason is - TargetVisu for Linux is basically a remote TargetVisu which could connect to any CODESYS plc not only the loacal one - therefore only a Webvisu connector is needed to have it work. & it seems a bug with this anoying update proposal.
