Hello, We are facing a critical issue with CODESYS SoftRedundancy that we have been unable to resolve despite extensive troubleshooting. HARDWARE: 2Γ HP EliteDesk 800 G9 SFF Intel Core i7-14700 (20 cores) 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe SSD Windows 11 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2024 NIC1: Built-in Intel GbE NIC2: Intel I210-T1 PCIe (NIC team) SOFTWARE: CODESYS Control Win V3 - x64 Version 3.5.22.10 CODESYS SoftRedundancy SL Server 1 IP: 172.10.10.101 (PLC1 β Active) Server 2 IP: 172.10.10.102 (PLC2 β Standby) CURRENT CODESYSControl.cfg: [CmpRedundancy] BootupWaitTime=120000 StandbyWaitTime=12100 SynchronousTimeout=12100 [CmpSchedule] ProcessorLoad.Maximum=80 WatchdogTime=12000 WatchdogTimeoutAction=0 CONFIRMED WORKING: PLC1/PLC2 identification configured via IDE Connection IP configured via IDE AutoSync enabled and written via IDE Normal Active/Standby operation working Server 2 auto-promotes when Server 1 completely fails PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When NIC1 cable is removed from Server 1 β both servers go to standalone mode. When NIC1 cable is reconnected β both servers remain in standalone indefinitely. Neither server auto-recovers to Active/Standby without manual CODESYS service restart. AutoSync fires (!!! Autosync !!! visible in log) but recovery does not complete. Tested with direct cable (no NIC team) β same result. Confirmed not a hardware or NIC teaming issue. KEY LOG MESSAGES: "Timeout: No sync message RMSG_StartCycle (5) from master: Standalone" "Socket on other side closed gracefully 0" "Standby PLC: Open acyclic work socket failed" "Connection broke after 11806ms. Check BootupWaitTime." Autosync(fires but does not complete recovery) PCAP ANALYSIS (Wireshark): CODESYS sync stops completely at T+3s Server 1 sends TCP FIN on ports 1206 and 1208 at T+5s No CODESYS redundancy traffic for remaining 24 seconds Both servers stay standalone indefinitely WHAT WE HAVE TRIED: StandbyWaitTime = 12100ms SynchronousTimeout = 12100ms WatchdogTime = 12000ms (less than StandbyWaitTime) AutoSync enabled NIC2 set as Standby adapter Disabled Windows Network Discovery Direct cable test β rules out NIC hardware QUESTION: Per official CODESYS documentation: "No automatic Reconnect is included in the functional scope of the redundancy components. You can program the triggering of a reconnect." Is RDCY.Synchronize() the correct function to add to our application for automatic recovery after both PLCs go standalone? What is preventing auto-recovery when AutoSync is enabled and PlcIdent is correctly set? Thank you for your support.

Hello everybody! We are currently working on implementing a call to an API that tracks data sent to it through a JSON body. Versions: CODESYS V3.5 SP19 Patch 7 using IIOT Libraries SL license, specifically JSON Utilities SL version 1.13.0.0. For simplicity, let's say we want to construct the following JSON body for our request (simplified to just 1 key-value pair in each of the array objects to keep things shorter, but we'd have multiple fields in each in reality): { "id": "machine_1", "readings": [ { "temp_mid": 153.8 }, { "temp_mid": 98.3 } ], "status": "RUNNING" } However, our "readings" data is added over time, not in creation, so calls to the builder would be somewhat out of order. In a simplified manner, our calls would look like this: jsonBuilder(pJsonData := JsonData, diRootObj => rootJsonIndex); // rootJsonIndex = 0. // Set "id" at root JSON object. wsValue := "machine_1"; jsonBuilder.SetKeyWithValue("id", wsValue, diParentIndex := rootJsonIndex); // JSONData KEY: diParentIndex = 0 & diIndex = 1, VALUE: diParentIndex = 1 & diIndex = 2. // ... Time passes, we get our first reading to add ... // The "readings" array does not exist yet, so we make it first at root JSON object before adding our first reading. readingsJsonArrayIndex := jsonBuilder.SetKeyWithArray("readings", diParentIndex := rootJsonIndex); // JSONData KEY: diParentIndex = 0 & diIndex = 3, VALUE: diParentIndex = 3 & diIndex = 4. // Then add the first reading, for which we first have to make an object. readingsJsonArrayObjectIndex := jsonBuilder.SetObject(diParentIndex := readingsJsonArrayIndex); // JSONData OBJECT: diParentIndex = 4 & diIndex = 5. // And then we add the field(s) in the object for the first reading. // NOTE the use of `readingsJsonArrayObjectIndex` so we set the field(s) in the first object in the array. rValue := 153.8; jsonBuilder.SetKeyWithValue("temp_mid", wsValue, diParentIndex := readingsJsonArrayObjectIndex); // JSONData KEY: diParentIndex = 5 & diIndex = 6, VALUE: diParentIndex = 6 & diIndex = 7. // ... Time passes, we want to add another root-JSON-level field ... // Set "status" at root JSON object. wsValue := "RUNNING"; jsonBuilder.SetKeyWithValue("status", wsValue, diParentIndex := rootJsonIndex); // JSONData KEY: diParentIndex = 0 & diIndex = 8, VALUE: diParentIndex = 8 & diIndex = 9. // ... Time passes, we want to add a second reading ... // "readings" array exists, so add the second reading, but first we have to make another object. // NOTE the re-use of the earlier stored `readingsJsonArrayIndex`, so we add the new object to that previously created array. readingsJsonArrayObjectIndex := jsonBuilder.SetObject(diParentIndex := readingsJsonArrayIndex); // JSONData OBJECT: diParentIndex = 4 & diIndex = 10. // And then we add the field(s) in the object for the first reading. // NOTE the use of `readingsJsonArrayObjectIndex` so we set the field(s) in the SECOND(, new) object in the array. rValue := 98.3; jsonBuilder.SetKeyWithValue("temp_mid", wsValue, diParentIndex := rootJsonIndex); // JSONData KEY: diParentIndex = 10 & diIndex = 11, VALUE: diParentIndex = 11 & diIndex = 12. // ... Finally, we want to send to the API, so we must convert the builder to data the client accepts as a body ... xTestWriteToJsonArray := TRUE; jsonArrayWriter( xExecute := xTestWriteToJsonArray, pwData := ADR(jsonDataString), udiSize := SIZEOF(jsonDataString), jsonData := JsonData^ ); IF jsonArrayWriter.xDone THEN // The writer was successful, the `jsonDataString` VAR should now contain a WString copy of the JSON object from the builder. xTestWriteToJsonArray := FALSE; END_IF We see that the JsonData STRUCT is correctly organised (in terms of the diParentIndex & diIndex set by it for each JsonElement) as we expect, as outlined in my comments in the simplified code above. However, as soon as we pass it to the jsonArrayWriter (which is a JSON.JSONByteArrayWriter), the resulting jsonDataString does not match our expectations, instead coming out like this: { "id": "machine_1", "readings": [ { "temp_mid": 153.8 } ] } { "temp_mid": 98.3 } "status": "RUNNING" The behaviour of the JSONByteArrayWriter thus seems to be the problem here. It does not seem to correctly process the children of JsonElements that are ARRAYs when additions to them are done broken up by additions to the lower level JSON OBJECT they are a part of. We have confirmed this by changing the order of the calls in our example to add both readings before adding the "status", in which case we get our expected outcome. However, in reality this is not possible for us - additions to any of the JSON's objects, arrays or array objects may happen at any time after other fields elsewhere in the JSON have been added. Does anyone know a way around this, a fix, or knows a solution we simply have not found? This same phenomenon was also noted on this forum by user @ryusoup at the end of 2023 (https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Engineering/thread/c45929e2f1/#e27f) and user @mtho in early 2024 (https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Engineering/thread/cd1bb450db/#1292) but both topics received no activity beyond both users' opening posts. Looking through the release notes of all the versions of the JSON Utilities SL library, I also did not see any remarks on resolutions of bugs in this vain. Thanks in advance for the assistance!

Hello all, I have been trying to implement a TCP client on a Festo PLC (CPX-E-CEC-M1) and it looks like it works well except that after some time (greatly varies between a few hours to more than 100h) my PLC crash. When I look into the log file the only thing I see is that before the crash happens a few kernel warnings : N0HZ_local_softirq_pending 80 and then the crash. I've looked into this warning and from what I could find on the net it seems that this is warning is triggered when the ethernet link is down. I've tried to correct this bug for quite some time and what I know is that : - The crash is caused by my TCP client, when I remove it from my code I see no crash - The crash happens more quickly the more the TCP client is used. - The time before the crash is not directly proportional to the number of communications or their size. But it looks like it is just more likely to happen if the client connect to the server at a higher frequency. - The precedent observation makes it seem unlikely that the crash is caused by some memory overflow because then the crash speed would be more proportional to the amount of data exchanged. SO from these observations, I believe that the crash could be caused by the PLC trying to connect to a server while there is some kind of issue with the ethernet link resulting in the PLC getting stuck in some indefinite state and making it crash. This still seems a bit unlikely to me because if the ethernet is down it simply shouldn't be able to contact the server and the communication would just fail which doesn't cause my PLC to crash. Has anyone encountered the same kind of problem (with the same kernel message) ? I am pretty sure the warning is not the direct cause of the crash but just an indicator that something is wrong with my PLC. Thanks in advance

Hi, everyone! I'm trying to set up a PLC controller and a connection to an EtherCAT slave device in Codesys. I want to create a flexible program that I can upload to multiple controllers with different remote IO connected (same program). On one plant i may have 5 AI-cards and 3 DO-cards, and on another I may have 4 AI-cards and 2 DO-cards. For not needing to maintain several different programs wih different devices defined in the program (one for each set up) I thought that using a remote IO would make it easier having a single program. That way I could refer to different memory addresses instead of predefined slots/channels and IO's, that would give me errors if there was a different IO on the plant than what the program expected. When I tried setting up the etherCAT master, I saw that I had to define the etherCAT slave devices with the different IO'cards for me to be able to refer to the memory addresses in a PRG. Exactly what I was trying to avoid. My setup is something like a program that can handle 16 separate pump controls. In a year maybe 6 plans get deployed, and depending on how large the project is, the number of pumps can vary between 4 and 16. And the managers dont want to have IO's for all 16 pumps on every cabinet, and I dont want to maintain 16 separate projects files in case of updates etc. I thought the best way to tackle this was having a single project that read/write data to the different pump IO's by remote IO (fieldbus ethercat) addresses. And the number of pump controls are activated by an external GUI. If pump 1-6 is activated by the GUI, then the PLC-program tries to read/write input/outputs from predefined addresses for the expected IO's. My test setup is a PFC200 WAGO controller and a EtherCAT fieldbus coupler (750-354) with some IO. I hope I didn't explain this too horrible, and if there is a more easy and elegant solution for this challenge I appreciate a feedback on this.

Hi, Would really appreciate your insights in this issue I have. I am currently using a WAGO 750-881 with multiple IO devices. For one of them I already occupied the MODBUS Master configuration tool so I cannot overwrite it for my other devices. I have a total of two serial interfaces WAGO 750-652. The first one is instantiated in COM2 and doesn't need any protocol since the information comes in an specific formatting that need little code to differentiate between needed info. This one is working just fine. The second one is where I have an issue. I have tried to instantiate the port using MODBUS library modb_L05.lib to properly receive the data from an ARDUINO and I am absolutely unable to open the port: Signal DEVICE2.fbModbus.MODBUS_EXT_MASTER.Interface.Com_Port_Ist_Offen is never TRUE, among with all other signals from that interface, while signal DEVICE1.COM2.Com_Port_Ist_Offen is TRUE, and the other signals also read as TRUE or FALSE. I have tried instantiating the second one as the first one, changing COM3 to COM4, I've tried a lot of things but it wont ever open the channel. I don't know if you have any recommendations for me. For both physical modules, both witness LEDs A and E are on. First one is instantiated like this: PROGRAM DEVICE1 VAR wBaudRate : WORD := BAUD_9600; bDataBits : BYTE := 8; bParity : BYTE := 0; bFlowControl : BYTE := 3; (RS422 FullDuplex with continous send) i : INT; COM2 : SERIAL_INTERFACE; xOpenPort2 : BOOL := TRUE; ( Flag to open the Port ) xInitPort2 : BOOL; ( Flag to initiallize the Port ) ReceiveBuffer2 : typRing_Buffer; END_VAR COM2( bCOM_PORT_NR := 2, cbBAUDRATE := wBaudRate, cbsBYTESIZE := bDataBits, cpPARITY := bParity, csSTOPBITS := STOPBITS_1, cfFLOW_CONTROL := bFlowControl, utRECEIVE_BUFFER := ReceiveBuffer2, ptSEND_BUFFER := ADR(SendString2), xINIT := xInitPort2, xOPEN_COM_PORT := xOpenPort2, iBYTES_TO_SEND := LEN(SendString2)+1, xSTART_SEND := xSendActive2 ); Second one like this: PROGRAM DEVICE2 VAR COM4 : SERIAL_INTERFACE; xInitPort4 : BOOL := TRUE; xOpenPort4 : BOOL := TRUE; ReceiveBuffer4 : typRing_Buffer; fbModbus : MODBUS_EXTENDED_MASTER_RTU; fbError : enumMB_ERROR; stQuery : typModbusExtendedQuery; stResponse : typModbusResponse; au16Data : ARRAY[0..14] OF WORD; i : INT; tPoll : TON; END_VAR COM4( bCOM_PORT_NR := 4, cbBAUDRATE := BAUD_9600, cbsBYTESIZE := 8, cpPARITY := 0, csSTOPBITS := STOPBITS_1, cfFLOW_CONTROL := 2, ( RS-485 half-duplex ) utRECEIVE_BUFFER := ReceiveBuffer4, xINIT := xInitPort4, xOPEN_COM_PORT := xOpenPort4, xSTART_SEND := xSendActive4, ); stQuery.SlaveAddress := 1; stQuery.FunctionCode := 3; stQuery.Read_StartAddress := 0; stQuery.Read_Quantity := 15; (Poll code) fbModbus( ENABLE := TRUE, bCOM_PORT := 4, ( COM4=> 750-652 port ) cbCOM_BAUDRATE := BAUD_9600, cpCOM_PARITY := 0, csCOM_STOPBITS := 1, cbsCOM_BYTESIZE := 8, cfCOM_FLOW_CONTROL := 2, TimeOut := T#500ms, StartFunction := xStart, ExtQuery := stQuery, Response := stResponse, MB_Error => fbError ); FOR i := 0 TO 14 DO au16Data[i] := stResponse.Data[i]; END_FOR;

Have the same issue: I'm making a test setup for modbus devices testing and calibration. One is run for every possible address, and it starts with minimal request: if the device is found, it continue to work with it, otherwise it's set to Disabled temporary. Those state machines are running under FOR cycle, and disabled are just skipped. Every instance have its own timer for not running too frequently and a start delay, so the actual requests are separate in time. I also check not for a single error, but have some timer to allow one-two timeouts. The small program disables and re-enables devices temporary (manually, since i could not iterate over MB devices). VAR Reset:ARRAY[1..GVL_MB.MD_COUNT] OF R_TRIG; i:INT; END_VAR {IF hasconstantvalue(GVL_MB.MD_COUNT, 1, >= )} i:=1; MD_1.Enable:=GVL_MB.MDPortsEnable[i]; Reset[i](CLK:=GVL_MB.MDPortsEnable[i]); MD_1.xReset:=Reset[i].Q; {END_IF} {IF hasconstantvalue(GVL_MB.MD_COUNT, 2, >= )} i:=2; MD_2.Enable:=GVL_MB.MDPortsEnable[i]; Reset[i](CLK:=GVL_MB.MDPortsEnable[i]); MD_2.xReset:=Reset[i].Q; {END_IF} There is also program to re-enable devices periodically. METHOD ScanBus VAR_INPUT END_VAR VAR j:INT; (*block auto scanning if calibration is running for any device since it's data-reach process that should not be interrupted with modbus timeouts *) CalibrationBusy:BOOL:=FALSE; END_VAR CalibrationBusy:=FALSE; FOR j:=1 TO GVL_MB.MD_COUNT DO CalibrationBusy:=CalibrationBusy OR MD_Calibrate.AutoTesters[j].xBusy; END_FOR; IF CalibrationBusy THEN RETURN; END_IF tBusScanSchedule(IN:=(NOT tBusScanSchedule.Q), PT:=tBusScanPeriod); IF (NOT tBusScanDelayer.Q) AND (tBusScanSchedule.Q OR (NOT xFirstScanPerforemed)) THEN xBusScanBusy:=TRUE; MissingCounter:=0; xFirstScanPerforemed:=TRUE; FOR j:=1 TO GVL_MB.MD_COUNT DO (* MD_Calibrate is main calibration program. Identifiers - is array of State machines mentioned above Phase_Faulted is a state of Identifiers where I'm sure device is missing on the bus *) IF MD_Calibrate.Identifiers[j].state=eStateMDIdentifier.Phase_Faulted THEN MD_Calibrate.Identifiers[j].Rescan(); MissingCounter:=MissingCounter+1; END_IF END_FOR END_IF tBusScanPauser(IN:=tBusScanDelayer.Q AND (MissingCounter>0),PT:=tBusScanDelay*MissingCounter); xBusScanBusy:=tBusScanPauser.Q; xFirstScanPerforemed:=xFirstScanPerforemed OR tBusScanPauser.ET>=tBusScanPauser.PT; Also the GUI have buttons for each address possible that re-enables the device if required.

Hi, I am trying to load a test application into a DSE M840-001-02 display, but after reboot the device still shows: βNo application loadedβ I would like to understand whether the problem is in my project, the package creation process, or firmware/runtime compatibility. Hardware Device: DSE M840-001-02 Firmware used: M840 MKII Firmware File v4.1.2 Software CODESYS V3.5 SP12 (32-bit) DSE CODESYS Package v1.5.44 DSEServiceTool What I did Created a new empty Standard Project Selected target/template: M840-02 V4.1 Used a minimal ST program only: PROGRAM PLC_PRG VAR xAlive : BOOL := TRUE; END_VAR Confirmed: project builds PLC_PRG is assigned to MainTask created Boot Application Generated CodesysApp.pkg Put the M840 into bootloader mode Sent the package using DSEServiceTool DSEServiceTool result Transfer completes successfully and I get: connection accepted 100% download package ACK <status>OK</status> ** Example log:** Searching for controllers.... sendPackageToController: waiting for incoming data connection... sendPackageToController: connection accepted... <status>Downloading</status> <percent>20</percent> <percent>40</percent> <percent>90</percent> <percent>100</percent> sendPackageToController: sent 112cb8 bytes OK Package ...\CodesysApp.pkg transferred to controller c0a80101 OK sendPackageToController: package ACK <status>OK</status> Actual result After reboot, the display still shows: βNo application loadedβ Additional issue I also saw earlier At one stage I also had these fatal errors in CODESYS: [FATAL ERROR] Unresolved reference: 'IOMGRLOCKENTER' [FATAL ERROR] Unresolved reference: 'IOMGRLOCKLEAVE' I checked library versions and adjusted them to: IoDrvBase = 3.5.5.0 IoStandard = 3.5.10.0 Also, I am using CODESYS SP12, which I understand is the correct version for DSE M840. My questions If DSEServiceTool shows Status OK and package ACK, but the device still says βNo application loadedβ, does that mean: the .pkg was transferred but not accepted as a valid application? the package was built incorrectly? the boot application / runtime / firmware versions are still mismatched? What is the correct procedure to generate CodesysApp.pkg for M840-02 V4.1? Is there any known compatibility issue between: DSE CODESYS Package 1.5.44 M840 MKII Firmware 4.1.2 CODESYS 3.5 SP12 Has anyone successfully loaded even a minimal empty test project into M840-001-02, and if so, what exact versions/process did you use? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi all, I'm looking for help with an issue I've come across while trying to facilitate Modbus communication between a WAGO PFC200 PLC using a 750-652 communication module and an iEM2050 Series Single Phase Energy Meter. I believe to have everything wired and setup correcty, but I keep running into a "Error time out" message, and by now I don't really know what else to try. My setup is as follows: A PFC200 Wago PLC, which has 2 750-652 Serial Interfaces extension modules connected to its field bus. I'm using one of these to talk to a Schneider iEM2050 - kWh-meter over modbus. I have connected terminal 23 (A) of the iEM2050 to connector 6 (A) on the 750-652. I have connected terminal 24 (B) of the iEM2050 to connector 2 (B) of the 750-652. I'm using 200mm of twisted together wires to connected them both, and I have placed a 120 ohm resistor between A and B at both ends. I've attached relevant pinout images to this post. I then wrote a simple program that configures the Mobus port, as per the datasheet of the iEM2050. You can find an image of the relavent page attached to this post too. This is my program: PROGRAM PLC_PRG VAR Master: FbMbMasterSerial; xIsConnected: BOOL; xError: BOOL; iIndex: INT := 1; xTrigger: BOOL; utQuery : typMbQuery := ( bUnitId := 1, // The Modbus unit or slave address bFunctionCode := 4, // Function code for reading input registers uiReadAddress := 1829, // adress for the Power on off counter uiReadQuantity := 1 // Quantity of registers to read ); iStep: INT; oStatusModbus: WagoSysErrorBase.FbResult; utResponseModbus: typMbResponse; xConnect: BOOL := FALSE; delayTimer: TON; END_VAR Master( xConnect:= xConnect, I_Port:= _750_652_24_1, udiBaudrate:= 9600, usiDataBits:= 8, eParity:= WagoTypesCom.eTTYParity.Even, eStopBits:= WagoTypesCom.eTTYStopBits.One, eHandshake:= WagoTypesCom.eTTYHandshake.None, ePhysical:= WagoTypesCom.eTTYPhysicalLayer.RS485_HalfDuplex, xIsConnected=> xIsConnected, xError=> xError, oStatus=> oStatusModbus, eFrameType:= WagoAppPlcModbus.eMbFrameType.RTU, tTimeOut:= T#5S, utQuery:= utQuery, xTrigger:= xTrigger, utResponse:= utResponseModbus); delayTimer(IN := TRUE, PT := T#3S); // Use the Q output of the timer to set xConnect after the delay IF delayTimer.Q THEN xConnect := TRUE; END_IF CASE iStep OF 0: //Wacht totdat de master de poort geopend heeft IF xIsConnected THEN iStep := 1; END_IF 1: //Stuur request naar de slave xTrigger := TRUE; iStep := 2; 2: //Wacht totdat de master klaar is met het afhandelen van de request IF NOT xTrigger THEN iStep := 3; END_IF END_CASE The TON delay before opening the port is due to a an error I encountered when opening it straight away. This seems to be a bug, as described here. However, the TON solved that particular issue. I tried reading multiple registers, but like I said, I still always end up with the "Error time out". What else can I test or try at this point?

Post by kuegerls on PROFINET Controller SL: WRREC remains BUSY forever, no DCE/RPC packets transmitted (RevPi Connect 5 + NORD SK205E)

Hello , I am currently evaluating the CODESYS PROFINET Controller SL on a Revolution Pi Connect 5 and have encountered a problem with acyclic PROFINET Record Access (WRREC/RDREC). System Hardware: Revolution Pi Connect 5 Runtime: CODESYS Control 4.16.0.0 (SDK 3.5.21.10) Development System: CODESYS V3.5 SP21 (64-bit) CommFB: 3.5.17.10 ProfinetCommon: 4.6.0.0 PROFINET Controller Device: PN-Controller 4.6.0.0 PROFINET Device: NORD DRIVESYSTEMS SK205E with SK TU4-PNT GSDML: GSDML-V2.46-NORDDRIVESYSTEMS-PNT-20251016.xml Network The PROFINET network is completely separated from the office network. RevPi: eth0 β Office network eth1 β PROFINET wlan0 β Visualization The PN Controller is configured to use eth1. IP configuration: RevPi (eth1): 192.168.100.1/24 NORD Drive: 192.168.100.3 Connection is established successfully. Current Status The PN Controller reports: Controller Status = Run Online = TRUE IP Active = TRUE Connections = 1 Cyclic PROFINET IO communication works correctly. Problem I am trying to access PKW parameters via WRREC (Record Index 100). The request buffer contains: 01 14 00 04 92 00 00 00 00 00 00 which corresponds to Reference = 0x01 Request = Read Axis = 0 Parameter = 170 + 1000 Subindex = 0 Value = 0 The WRREC call is fbWRREC( REQ := xWrReq, ID := ConnectionID, INDEX := 100, LEN := 11, RECORD := ADR(TxBuffer) ); REQ is pulsed for one PLC cycle only. Observed Behaviour WRREC enters BUSY state and never finishes. Observed values: BUSY = TRUE DONE = FALSE ERROR = FALSE STATUS = 16#FFFFFFFF indefinitely. Packet Capture A Wireshark capture was taken on the PROFINET network. Observed traffic: PROFINET RT LLDP DCP Observed: successful cyclic IO Not observed: DCE/RPC Record Write Record Read RPC Bind No RPC packets are transmitted at all. Diagnostic Messages The controller repeatedly reports AR alarm.ind(err) AR CMI timeout although cyclic IO communication continues to work. Already Verified The following points have already been checked: correct Ethernet interface (eth1) correct CREATE_ID result correct Device ID correct Slot/Subslot correct GSDML correct REQ pulse RECORD buffer is larger than LEN cyclic IO communication works different Record Indices (100...104) tested Question Is there any known issue or limitation where WRREC/RDREC requests remain permanently BUSY and no RPC Record Access packets are generated? Could this behaviour be related to Runtime 4.16.0.0, PN Controller 4.6.0.0, the missing runtime license (currently running in demo mode), or any known issue with the PROFINET Controller SL? I am currently evaluating the PROFINET Controller SL and therefore the runtime is operating in demo mode. Could you please confirm whether WRREC/RDREC (acyclic Record Data services) are fully supported in demo mode, or whether a valid license is required for these services? If required, I can provide: complete project archive Wireshark capture (.pcap) GSDML online screenshots diagnostic log Thank you very much for your help. Best regards, Stefan
