Hi kenth1973, MC_Phasing has been improved in recent versions. I would recommend to install the latest version of SoftMotion (4.20.1.0) and test whether the problem still exists, and if so, what the error identifier is. (Also check the PLC log in this case, it might contain additional information.) Setting the internal state of the FB is not recommended, it could lead to malfunction of the FB and unintended movements of the drive. Best regards, Georg

Using codesys v3.5 SP21 Patch 1. We are using Visualization to display alarms. Other then the automatically created AlarmManagerTask, there is no code written to call AlarmStorage_Prg. Any ideas why we would be seeing this error in the log? The runtime actually shutdown. Just to share, for those who as me are seeking for this and had found no information anywhere in this World: Every time I stop/start the PLC runtime ( turning into 'Stopped' or 'Running' state ) the 'CODESYSControlService' appears at the Taskmanager list, which could suggest a straight correlation. I was expecting a clever solution, but this one solves for while.

If yes, how? I defined a TEST integer variable with 300 value. I tried to add this variable to the width record (.TEST or only TEST), but if I saved, the value jumps back to 0. I got the shared memory example. I'm pretty sure I'm successfully created a memory space, CreateResult returns 18. szName:='CodesysDataShare'; hShm := SysSharedMemoryCreate(szName, 0, ADR(uxiSize), ADR(CreateResult)); I'm trying to access this memory with a C# application, but I get "Unable to Find Specified File". I suspect that Codesys and/or Visual Studio code alters the name I choose? In my machine's operation, I need to display multiples tables containing arrays of structured variables. The arrays change during operation, and my supervisor has advised me to write a new bubble-sort for each array. I think I can make a function to sort an array of any data type. This was my own project, and I'm a relatively new coder. I want to know the weaknesses in my approach, and a better method, if one exists. As far as I can test, the function accepts an array of a structured variable of any size, and sort it by any VAR in that structure. But it relies heavily on pointers, which I've heard are bad practice? Hi All I was watching the Wago PFC300 webinar ( https://www.wago.com/global/lp-thank-you-onlineseminar-pfc-300 ), and the presenters comment about priority 1 being way above the Ethernet task priority, so that a priority 1 PLC program can actually loose SCADA connection, made me try to round up some hard evidence on Codesys Priorities. I find there is very little information on "correct" task priority configuration. It uses OPC UA for communication to SCADA, maybe some MODBUS-RTU and MODBUS-TCP, usually around 100 I/O, been running with everything in a single task at priority 1, 50-100ms cycle time. Some controllers have separate MODBUS tasks, but doesn't seem like a big difference. How would you recommend splitting up communication, IO fieldbus and programs into differently prioritized tasks? I know its a complex matter and all about my application, but I really miss there was just some kind of guidance in the documentations and with all new standard Codesys programs having priority 1 as default, makes it seem less important, than it really is.
