Hello, I am struggling with Edge gateway to the automation server. It is not possible to establish the link. When I create the Edge in codesys and get it to Automation server, it is red, unable to connect. Scan fails. RPi 4B Runtime 4.13.0.0 Edge gateway 4.13.0.0 Codesys 3.5.2.40 Any idea what to chase? I have been using previous versions of edge gateway. Now I updated all to latest versions, failed. Frustrating.

Dear All, i am using Runtime CODESYS Control Win V3 - X64 Version 3.5.20.40, by using CAA file library (3.5.19.0) seems not fasible to open a file n 'C:\ciao.txt' or others absolute path. The error on File Open is 5114 File Operation Danied.. here below the implemented code and the windows file's properties. I use to implement codesys in RPI and this operation is immediate... Hallo, ab wann kann Codesys CAN-FD? Sprich, ab welcher Version steht ein CAN-FD Master zur Verfügung? In Q2 2025 soll es bei Beckhoff den EL6753 (EL6753 | EtherCAT-Klemme, 1-Kanal-Kommunikations-Interface, CANopen, Master/Slave) geben. Diesen würde ich gerne verwenden um mit meinem CAN-FD-Slave zu kommunizieren. I am designing a custom slider object and i ran into a problem when i want to use properties with it. I can update the basic variables if i have a slider variable defined as VAR_IN_OUT, but it does not work with properties. How can i achieve same functionality that some basic objects have (for example basic Slider that comes withing the codesys libraries) such that i can pass both variables and properties to it and they can be modified within the object? I am using Codesys V3.5 SP20 Patch 5.

Wow! Thanks mr Strucc. Changed to service to run as local acc, and now log works! The service (run from local acc) is using this config: C:\Users\SRV\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3\C4DBB537\CODESYSControl.cfg The path you first mentioned (c:\Windows\System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming) has no CODESYS folder in it (Windows 11 24H2 b26100.3194). we use successful for many years the KEB MFI terminal for Profinet, EtherCAT, Ethernet/IP,... You'll need a EtherCAT Coupler as "head" from KEB, Kendrion or Berghof. Hallo zusammen, mein Name ist Markus. Ich habe mit Hilfe des Codesys-Beispieles "Client Iteration" ein Überprüfung der Verbundenen Clients realisiert. Sobald ich den Browser-Tab oder den Browser schließe wird auch sofort erkannt, dass kein Client mehr aktiv ist. Entferne ich jedoch das Netzwerkkabel der Verbindung wird dies nicht erkannt. Gibt es inzwischen von Codesys eine Empfohlene Lösung oder Empfehlung wie eine Überwachung der Verbindung realisiert werden kann?

Bonjour, La librairy est SYSMEM en Codesys v3.5. Pour accéder à la fonction : SysMem.SysMemSet. Il y a plein d'autres fonctions intéressantes : SysMemSwap, SysMemMove, SysmemCpy, ... Cela évite de créer des Boucles et permet de bien utiliser ADR() et SIZEOF() Il existe aussi une librairie CAA Memory qui mérite intérêt; Par exemple MEM.MemFill pour remplir un tableau d'octets. Bons développments! Il suffit d'ajouter ces bibliothèques dans le gestionnaire de bibliothèque pour les utiliser. JM

The goal is to control a Siemens G120X VFD via Ethernet/IP. The .eds is installed into the device repository. The VFD is added and is using the connection and assemblies from the eds. It appears to reach the VFD but fails to establish a connection. The status message is: Diag String: 'Adapter configured. Open all connections.' The PLC is a raspberry pi 4, running codesys target version 4.13.0.0. The development environment is CODESYS V3.5 SP21 + (64-bit). Anyone have experience with this combination? Alternately, where should I look next? Thank you, Mark

I'm having a serious issue with codesys-pro/git, because everytime I load my project I get around 40 unstaged changes with equal objects. If I only commit everything along with my real changes I strugle to locate them later. I've tried creating a new git repository, it didn't work. I've commited everything, it kept appearing. I've tried rolling back everything but it also didn't work. Does anyone know why this happens and how to manage it?

Hi everyone, I’m using an IFM ecomatBasic CR413S controller and having trouble connecting it to CODESYS 3.5. I have CODESYS SP18 installed, as recommended in the manual, and I’ve tried different patches. I’ve also installed all the packages provided on the IFM website for this controller. I have a Codesys-based Eurotherm E+PLC400 connected to Codesys HMI SL for visualization. I am also bringing in several Pressure Indicators via the Ethernet. Everything works; however, the Pressure indicators sometimes read a negative value. When they do, the displayed value on the screen reads "65532." While I know what it represents, the customer freaks out and wants it to read "0" or a negative number. The value comes in as an integer, just in case that matters. Does anyone have any ideas?

i had a similar problem trying to send files to C: on local computer. Ended up using Oscat ftp to transfer file with filezilla. i read there is an "write protection", possibly to do with windows, issue with sp19 and up. there are some config files in the codesys dir you can change, which may help. after i was able to transfer to local PC\downloads but not c: so went the ftp route. works well. https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/5cac1390b4/

After updating my Codesys to later versions, it seems my device repository no longer lists the proper runtime devices, nor ethernet adapters, or other previously installed device descriptions. What needs to be done here? Do I need to uninstall and do a clean install? I am now updating to SP21.1 to see if that fixes it. Any tips what I am doing wrong here are much appreciated. I don't see codesys control win, or have the ability to add an ethernet adapter in my project.

estou com um PLC festo CECX-X-C1, gostaria de comunicá-lo com a ihm weintek, o clp possui o módulo ethernet e no maual fala que por conta disso deve comunicar em tcp ip, modbus e etc, mas já tentei seguir o manual e nada. Na configuração do hardware ele não me aparece o módulo de ethernet pra configurar e não consigo encontrar o pacote para codesys 2.3 contendo esse módulo, alguém poderia me ajudar?

To better track project changes in git I created a script that exports the project structure as text files. Textual POUs are stored as text, everything else as XML (with timestamps removed). The file structure is stored under path/to/your.project.txt Git merge will not work, but at least tracking changes is much easier. Hi Gatto, Using version 3.5.21.xx, it is no longer possible to use Modbus function blocks (I make extensive use of these FBs.)as shown in the example. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Examples/_ex_modbus_example.html The compiler detects one Modbus instance for each instance of the communication FB block. The example program above, although simple, reports 8 Modbus instances when compiled with the latest version. Codesys Support says that you must use fieldbus I/O mapping, but this will result in the loss of the ability to programmatically modify communication parameters. Sandro

Hi everyone, I’ve connected and configured an MCP23017 over I²C on a Raspberry Pi using the available CODESYS/RPi library. Input reading works fine (I can reliably read a digital input). However, I can’t get any output pin to change state. Example: when I try to drive PB0, the watch shows MCP23017.Out_B.0 = TRUE (1), but there is no actual output on the pin (no voltage change). Anyone solved this?

Dear Eschwellinger, Thank you for the response. Does that mean that the license-manager inside the Codesys-IDE does not work with this setup anymore? Because when I use this I get the notification that there is no dongle attached to the device (see picture). And If I insert the license by the deploy tool, can I then redeploy the Codesys virtual control container, or does this erase the license completely?

yes and no ... if you run the license server on the host (to serve licenses to the docker instances / vplcs then there is no runtime which could check the licenses on the host. Therefore you need the CODESYS WBM to activate or check the licenes or you could use in CODESYS IDE the licensemanager ( not the one for the device licenses) but you have the the IP of the license server that he know where to search for the licenses ..tool options i guess to add it, will add a screenshot later.
