Hi, We are currently using a Raspberry Pi 4 CM4 module in a EdgeBox RPI 200 - Industrial Edge Controller running the latest CODESYS Runtime Package 4.11.0.0. On the PC (actually an Intel Macbook Pro running Windows 10 in Parallels) we run CODESYS V3.5.19.50. Yesterday end of day when I was about to logoff and head home, I wanted to send the latest build to the Raspberry I clicked the Login button to compile a new version and then sync the application and all the files, it get's stuck on the last file to sync (see attached screenshot). This takes eternally, although sometimes, when I use my SFTP client (Cyberduck) and go into the raspberry and refresh the directory /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/visu/, or when I open the actual file visuelemsdatetime.tl_datetime.txt, it gets un-stuck (forcing a refresh, which might fix the syncing issue) and CODESYS continues and I can click the Start button to start the application. But this SFTP force refresh trick does not always help either... What could be the issue here? network connectivity? Can someone please help me out?

I'm using the JSON Utilities SL library to write configurations in my program to a file. I'm generating the JSON data using the builder function block and all appears to work correctly. When I write the jsondata to file, I'm finding that some of the JSON elements are not being written in the right location in the file. Rather than writing they keys under the parent object, they get written outside the root JSON object at the end of the file. If I then try to read the file back into the program, I get an invalid_structure error. I don't get any errors when populating the JSON data or when writing the file. I attached an example of the JSON writer output. The problems begin with key P200. Each P200 should go under MBR1 through MBR3. Among the rest of the keys, they are supposed to be under different parent objects. I am using default values for wsLineBreak and encoding.

Hello all I am using an AxisGroup with the Gantry2 Kinematics to move a 2D-Gantry system. When creating the AxisGroup, the SoftMotion_PlanningTask is created automatically with a cycle time of 2 ms in my case. I realized that the maximum cycle time of this task can spike to very high values (up to 60 ms) at lower speeds of the motion, leading to synchronization issues and errors on the axes. The same behaviour - though not as drastic - can be observed with virtual axes too. Is this behaviour intended or to be expected? Can the cycle time or type of the SoftMotion_PlanningTask be changed to prevent these errors? Or is there another fix for this issue? I tried changing the cycle type to Freewheeling, which solved the synchronization issues, but caused an error on the AxisGroup after a while, reading SMC_CP_QUEUE_UNDERRUN. I'm having a tough time trying to get Modbus working on a Festo CPX-E PLC; it throws these pre-compiler errors as soon as I add in my Modbus TCP Master 3.5.12.30 to my project: I'm confused about the C0046 error, as I have IODrvModbusTCP 4.3.0.0 Library installed. So I thought maybe I needed to use the newest Modbus TCP Master 4.3.0.0, which is in my device repository: However, whenever I go to add this underneath the Ethernet adapter (which is version 4.2.0.0), the only TCP Master version available is the old 3.5.12.30 one, even if I have Display all versions checked.: I even went so far as to delete the old version, but then there were no options to add a Modbus TCP Master under my Ethernet adapter. What needs to be done to use the newest Modbus TCP Master? Or are these pre-compiler errors unrelated and I'm missing something? Any help greatly appreciated.

Dear all, I am developing a Web Socket Client in Codesys 3.5 using the Web Socket Client SL library to retrieve data from a third party. Connecting and reading works fine however after 40 seconds the connection gets interrupted by the server due to keepalive ping timeout. After discussion with third party it seems that the Web Socket Client SL library replys to the Ping request of the Web Socket server BUT does not add the "Application data" = 4 bytes in the body of the Pingframe to the Pongframe. Therefor the server does not recognize the Pongframe send by the Web Socket Client SL library and automatically disconnects. Is this a known issue with the libary or am I doing something wrong? Is there a workaround to add the 4 bytes manually to the Pongframe before replying it to the server? Thanks in advance, Roy

Hi, On a gantry system with 2 axis i am getting the following error: SMC_DI_FIELDBUS_LOST_SYNCRONICITY This happens random, sometimes it happens every 5 minutes and sometimes no error for 2 hours... The Setup: - Using codesys 3.5 SP20 with all latest libs... - Kontron AL Pi-Tron CM4 with Preempt realtime patch (Raspberry Pi 4) - Codesys runtime 4.11.0.0 (single core) - CODESYS Control for Raspberry Pi SL licensed - Softmotion + CNC + Robotics licensed - 2x Leadshine EL8-EC400 servo drives - Axis group for a 2-axis T-Gantry Ethercat network wiring: Ethercat master softmotion -> Beckhoff EK1100 -> Servo drive #1 -> Servo drive #2 Ethercat Cycle time = 4ms Max Jitter = 140~150 What i have tried so far: - changed the sync offset from 20% to 30% - changed ethercat task priority from 1 to 0 Running tasks: - Ethercat tast: Prio = 0, Interval = 4ms - Main task: Prio = 1, Interval = 8ms - Visu task: Prio = 31, Interval = 100ms - Softmotion planning task: Prio = 15, Freewheeling - 3 other default tasks that were created by AC_Persist Motion fb's are called in the ethercat task... Does anyone have an idea how to fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Hey there! I am currently doing a little automation project for uni. I am trying to integrate a control-valve-system (Buerkert AirLINE Field) in my IO-Link environment. With IFM sensors, I used their pre-built function blocks, but with this third-party device, i need to write my own function block. Thankfully, IFM provides a generic sensor-fb so I can write my own FB with "extends" and "super". So far, so good. I found the IODD and some other documentation and I thought I get how it works, but somehow can't really get it to work at all. From my understanding, i need to write data into the PDO-Array. But i get confused with the indices and subindices of IO-Link. I'll append the IODD and some screenshots of my project. There is an AOI for LogicXDesigner, but I can't use that in Codesys. Hi, I was hoping I could send the two files "application.app" and "application.crc" directly to the directory "/home/codesys/PlcLogic/Application" instead of logging into the device with codesys, downloading the program to the controller and then do the "create boot application", so it will reboot with the correct program running. I think i also need to edit the file "eRUNTIME.cfg" located in the "/home/codesys/ folder, because when I create the boot application from the codesys IDE, these lines are added to the file: [CmpApp] Application.1 = Application [SysFileMap] /home/codesys/PlcLogic/Application/Application.app=0x212520, 0x2DBC747E, 2DBC747E.app I think the "eRUNTIME.cfg" file is the same as CODESYSControl.cfg I also dont know the purpose of the hexadecimal numbers etc. that is generated. When I tried to replicate what codesys was doing, I placed the same files in the same folder as when codesys generated the boot file. And also added the lines in the eRUNTIME.cfg file: [CmpApp] Application.1 = Application [SysFileMap] /home/codesys/PlcLogic/Application/Application.app The controller did not boot up with any program, so my method did not work at all. I guess these lines tells the controller to run an application and where to find it? Could any of you help me with the best way to get the compiled program to the controller without using codesys or wago-software?

Hi All, I am using codesys based plc to read and control magna power DC supply over LXI protocol using SCPI command. To connect device required socket programming for that i am using Net base service library function block TCP_Client to establish connection over TCP/IP , TCP_Write to write SCPI commands and TCP_Read to read data from Magna power DC supply. I have attached screenshot for logic developed. I am able to connect and write commands to device but i not receiving any information from device. For writing Commands i also tried various end of line character like \n,<nl>, A, D, 10, 13, 0x0A, 0x0D but not received any status from device. For testing purpose i am using simple command '*IDN?' to read data. Also if tried to check on hercules software what data actually plc read, first it read correct data after that is read wrong data as see in screen shot. 'Hello World' was correct read and after that Codesys in replaced with 'Codesysorld' that is not correct way. Same issue also appeared for send data. Any one have face same issue how i can read data directly from device correctly and send data please suggest solution on this.</nl>

Hi all :) I have an plc. This plc has option to be as slave device. There are TCP -> Serial Slave Device and COM -> Serial Slave Device. There are 4096 ModBus holding registers with mark "internal modify" for the both devices above. So, COM Slave has 4096 registers and TCP Slave has 4096 registers. And, finally, I have an ARRAY[0..4095] OF WORD. This array glued with COM Slave and TCP slave. Yes, I need plc's opportunity to be communication both TCP and COM ways for the same registers. For example, the next task structure: * TASK_0: 1. pou_READ_Registers 2. pou_0 3. pou_1 4. ... 5. pou_N 6. pou_WRITE_Registers At the first pou I read registers for the other pous, after job we have sort of state of the plc. At the last pou (6) we write modified registers. It is a good scenario: some one wrote registers for the job, after job we save these (modified) registers. But, what if registers wrote between 1 and 6 pou by operator, for example, at the 3 pou -> the last pou 'pou_WRITE' will rewrite this request from operator. What the right way to work with this logic? Thanks you.

Hallo zusammen, hi all, ich habe den gleichen Fehler. Auf einem Raspberry Pi geht der Fehler weg, wenn ich alles bereinige und dann vollständig übersetze. Wenn das Projekt im Codesys Development System wieder neu geladen wird ist der Fehler aber wieder da. Mit eine Win V3 x64 PLC kann ich den Fehler nur unterbinden wenn ich auf der HMI das VUM_Login einbinde. Dieses brauche ich aber nicht, da ich die HMI für das User Management selbst gestaltet habe. Das funktioniert auch. I have the same error. On a Raspberry Pi the error goes away if I clean everything and then compile completely. When the project is reloaded in the Codesys Development System, the error returns. With a Win V3 x64 PLC I can only prevent the error if I integrate the VUM_Login on the HMI. But I don't need this because I designed the HMI for user management myself. That works too. Anyone have an idea to fix this problem. Many thanks

My code is taken almost directly from the CryptoDemo.project example provided on Codesys Forge, yet the CryptoGenerateHash function does not write to the address listed in pHash. Is it possible to transmit a PDU1 PGN using the J1939 manager and local device? What if I need to transmit a PGN RQST via 0xEA00 (PGN 59904)? How would I do this P2P (Destination < 0xFF) or broadcast (Destination 0xFF)? I don't think this is possible for any destination type. I don't think it's possible to receive broadcast PDU1 messages either. For example, an address claim PGN 60928 (0x18EEFF80) is addressed to all nodes (0xFF) and not any specific local device so it will be filtered out. These are major oversights in the IoDrvJ1939 library to not support every PDU1 RX/TX scenario. IoDrvJ1939 supported scenario: 1. Receive (RX) PDU1 (P2P) destination-specific (PDU-specific < 255) to local device with matching address IoDrvJ1939 unsupported scenarios: 1. Receive (RX) PDU1 (P2P) global (PDU-specific = 255) 2. Transmit (TX) PDU1 (P2P) global (PDU-specific = 255) 3. Transmit (TX) PDU1 (P2P) destination-specific (PDU-specific < 255)

Hello all, I am using the OPC UA server with my custom information model. I have used the communication manager to add my information model under my application and created instances from OPC UA types. I see that the created instances in the OPC UA server has some opaque nodeid (attached screenshot) and I want to change that. Therefore I have the following questions: 1. Is there a way to configure the NodeIds of instances in the OPC UA server? I tried to edit it using the UaExpert client but got error "BadNotWriteable". is it possible to configure it somewhere so that the nodeids can be changed using an external client? 2. Is there a way to define the rule for creating instance nodeids within the codesys IDE? 3. Is it possible to create the instances before e.g. using a modelling tool like UaModeler and import them as part of the information model and use them later? Using the communication manager, I can only create instances from types. I couldn't find a way to map my existing instances to plc tags from my application. It would be nice if someone could help me with these issues. Thanks in advance. :)
