Hello Alex, the message is generated by the CODESYS code generator based on the DevDesc settings of the memory areas available for the target. The problem arises when after too many online changes the area is full. Therefore no more boot project can be generated. Short-term remedy as described in the dialog: Clean and fresh download. This way the initial memory size will be "used" again After how many online changes did this error occur? There is no set limit on the number of online changes, but making too many changes could be a risk. br Simon

Hello, I am currently investigating the network behavior of CODESYS 3.5 (IDE + Gateway) in environments where the engineering workstation is connected to a very large /16 network. In such networks, the automatic device scan performed at IDE startup (and the manual “Scan Network” device discovery) can cause significant delays or freezes, due to the broadcast‑based discovery mechanism. After analyzing the traffic with Wireshark, I identified that the IDE uses the following UDP ports: 1740 – broadcast discovery 1741 – handshake / responses 1742 – fallback discovery 1743 – fallback handshake 22350 – additional runtime / gateway communication (WAGO, debug, extended discovery) To prevent the IDE from scanning the large /16 network, I tested blocking these ports in both directions (IN/OUT) on the network interface connected to the /16 segment (while keeping them open on the OT /24 network interface). Result: When UDP 1740, 1741, 1742 and 1743 are blocked on the IT interface, the IDE no longer sends any discovery traffic on that interface. The IDE still works normally on the OT interface (device discovery, online mode, download, etc.). Blocking port 22350 does not seem required to stop the scan, but I included it for completeness. My question: => Can you confirm that blocking UDP ports 1740, 1741, 1742, 1743 (and optionally 22350) on a specific network interface is a valid and supported way to completely disable the CODESYS IDE network scan on that interface (both at startup and during manual device discovery)? I am not trying to block communication with controllers on the OT network — only to prevent the IDE from scanning the large /16 IT network. Any confirmation or additional technical details about the discovery mechanism would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Do you have any additional information about when the error occurs? I am trying to recreate this issue to find a workaround... Maybe you could also make the project available. You could add the following logfilter to the CODESYS configuration file: [CmpLog] Logger.0.Filter=0xFFFFFFFF Logger.0.Enable=1 Logger.0.MaxEntries=10000 Logger.0.MaxFileSize=1000000 SysSem.Filter=0xFFFFFFFF SysTask.Filter=0xFFFFFFFF I hope that the log filter will show us which task is responsible for this, so we can narrow it down a bit more.

Georg, the encoder's actual position was -208 because I moved it manually for testing, but I managed to get it working. Your information is correct; there was a parameter error, Kp was at 0. After I adjusted it, it responded as expected. Thank you very much for your help.

in most of this cases the Installer ins't frozen, it's more likely that the Antimalware-Service-Executable slow's them down. Turning it off during installation of Codesys helped me all the time. Also keep attention on Taskmanager to get e feeling for the Installer Give it a try.

Dear darwin03, my first guess is that the axis scaling of the last axis (joint 6) is not correct. It should be confiugured so that one technical unit equals one angular degree. From the video, it rather looks like 1 technical unit is a full revolution of the joint. (This holds for all rotary axes used with SoftMotion Robotics: they must be scaled so that one technical unit equals one angular degree.) Best regards, Georg

your case looks different, the first one was an codesys modbus tcp-slave, your's an Master-Application with gateway. I dont know this Unit, but i would say, from Point of Codesys it looks wrong configured. Just give us more detailed configuration and the please make a sketch of the topology you're trying to realise.

Two issues. Ive been struggling to get the user management the way I want it. I want to protect the device from unauthorized upload/download, but I do not want login requirement on webvisu. The combination that seems to work is to use "runtime device user management" while keeping the visu user management in "legacy mode"? Initially this seemed to work, but now images are not loaded when using direct access, while they are still shown if I access the webpage via Automation server. Im guessing its connected to the authorization changes? Anyone able to help out? Thanks Also, I read that legacy mode should be avoided, is it possible to use "runtime based visu user management" while keeping direct access to the webpage without login. System is a "Control for linux SL, version 4.20.0.0" Per

Hi erveyone, Rau here, first time asking on CODESYS Forge: When working with my servodrives, a special behaviour is required on dsp402 0x60B8 object, a control that is not supported by MC_TouchProbe. For this reason, I'd like to ask: Anyone knows if there is any way to bypass or change the softmotion axis writting into 0x60B8 object? My main problem is that MC_TouchProbe.TriggerInput.iTriggerNumber only allows to choose between TP 1 and TP 2 (not both at the same time). iTriggerNumber only allows values [0, 1, 2, 3], other values triggers an error in the FB, wether SMC_TP_COMM_ERROR for values [4, 5, 6, 7] and SMC_TRIGGER_OUT_OF_RANGE with any other value. Hi transcend, most likely cause: one of the motion FBs was not called in each IEC cycle. See https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20SoftMotion/_sm_basic_common_errors.html. A different possible error, if you are using buffermode buffered or blending: the execution order of the motion FBs was wrong.
