Hi, sweet and short: Issue: Pulling/Copying/Checking out branches in codesys does not pull all the code. Resulting in compile errors. Workaround: 1. Dont panick or get angry 2. Save project 3. Close codesys 4. Reopen the project 5. go to Git -> status and changes 6. you will see all the missing code being marked as deleted in the unstaged section. select all of them, and say roll back (little paintbrush icon) 7. Accept it, dont try to understand it. And continue coding.

    Codesys V3.5.18.40 SP18 Patch 4 with G 1.2.1.0 - Error Checkout or Compare

  • happychappy happychappy posted a comment on discussion Runtime πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Hi I am getting a issue when trying to compare or checkout a branch from a remote repository. I get a error dialog telling me: "An Error occured while executing Diff Branches. An item with the same key has already been added'. I dont know what to do with this information. I have no pending changes from the current branch. Some help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi I found a new feature in codesys where after I attempted a merge between a remote branch and my current local branch, codesys gave me a dialog(Codesys - Error.jpg). Since continue did not solve issues, I had to quit the application. Once I restarted codesy, I can see at the bottom right, that codesys is still in progress with the merge request, HOWEVER I can not open the Status and Changes window, I click on it but it never opens. I can not roll back or do anything, since codesys wants me to complete...

Hi yannickasselin Thanks for giving me tips on how you have tried to solve this issue. I really cant understand how a feature like this is so "buggy". This makes client debugging literally impossible unless you always use the same laptop with the same installation, library, ect for all projects. In my opinion this should be one of the most important "features" that needs to work flawlessly since in most cases where PLC's are used there are frequent monitoring, code updates and debugging taking place,...

Hi, sorry to post this on a such a old forum post, but I tested the project archives finally... So current setup (Laptop 1 + Laptop 2): Codesys V3.5 SP17 Patch 3 I did a project archive with the following steps (Laptop 1): File -> Project Archive -> Save Archive I then proceeded to select all tickboxes that was shown to me. and pressed saved. On Laptop 1: I extract the archive and connect to the PLC without having to do a redownload. Which is good On Laptop 2: I extract the archive and as soon as...

Hi I have cloned my own git repository for the Codesys Library I am using.... However when I clone the repository I get a notification1 that makes ZERO sense. I just say yes since I need to library... however as soon as I try to save this .library file, I get an additional error message (notification 2) that wont allow me to save the library.... See the 2 screenshots attached

Hi I had to change something for one of my visu elemets, I use it around 500 times in my PLC program. After the change, when I compile i get the following error: The interface of the referenced visualization <register> does not match the current configuration. Please do an update of the frame references in the current visualization</register> I tried looking on the internet for a solution, but there is really nothing, just some generic information, saying a dialog should automatically appear when...

Exactly the same hardware setup on Ecockpit. the port is configured as RS485 via the PLC shell So there is a 120ohm resistor at the PLC and a 120 ohm resistor at the busend (between A and B). I also tried adding pull up and pull down resistors, since the wago Engineer advised me to try that since it is mentioned in the Wago manual on page 40. https://www.wago.com/wagoweb/documentation/750/eng_manu/coupler_controller/m07508212_xxxxxxxx_0en.pdf I am also running shielded cable, and have tried to connect...

Brief background: Hardware: Wago 750-8214 PLC Wago FW: 16-21 Codesys Runtime: V4.4 Modbus RTU I have a issue where I have a number of the same type of modbus slave device connected to my PLC, which is the master of the network. Between 1-10 hours, I would get a CRC or a Timeout Error report from the a random slave device in the device tree on the left hand side inside codesys, When I just use Wago Ecockpit as the runtime on the PLC, I do not experience any modbus issues on the network. The obvious...

Well if I power cycle the PLC, it gets rewritten... so im not sure what rewrites it everytime. is there a way to determine what is doing it?

Hi Can anyone please tell me, why every time codesys boots on the PLC, it rewrites the /etc/resolv.conf file. Regards

Hi Will give it a go thanks. Its just kind of sad, that the git integration into Codesys is so bad we cant get proper error messages.... today I have a new error when switching branches... hopefully the CLI can point me in the right direction.

Hi I have been having issue where the git addon with codesys is causing havoc with my projects. The latest one is, when I try to change branches I get a popup window: An Error occurred while executing Checkout branch.....: Permission denied: Rule '4' failed with state 'True'. See screenshot attached. Please advise.

Thanks for the response Tim. Will the file that is being written to be cleared on PLC restart, or will the new entries on PLC startup just be written to a new line in the file?

  • happychappy happychappy posted a comment on discussion Runtime πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Hi, thanks for the feedback. My CPU is running average at 90%, and the visu takes around 2-3 seconds to respond. If I load a tab/frame in the visu, the PLC hits 100%. It just baffles me that the logfiles does not survive a reboot, since that is the go to file for debugging things like this....

Hi its not licensing, the license is activated. the log file does not show anything. i will take a screenshot of the log file if it happens again. Keep in mind I need to power cycle the PLC to get connection back. Not sure if the log file is cleared on power cycle.

I have a Wago PLC running runtime PFC200 V4.4 from Codesys. After a random amount of time 0 - 5 hours, the PLC goes into stop mode and I lose connection to the PLC from Codesys. I can still ping the PLC, but I can not reconnect to the PLC with Codesys. After power cycle the PLC goes back into run mode and then I can reconnect to it with Codesys. Because I cant reconnect to the PLC when this happens, I can not see if it was an exception that caused this. Is there a log file on the PLC I can check...

Hi I have a bug/issue to report. I am using the ModbusFB V4.1.0.0 in my Library Project. When I use this variable, I do not get xExecute listed as an Input that I can access. But according to the Library under the Documentation Tab I can see xExecute being a Input Type. Please find rough screenshot attached of what I am experiencing. My question is, if xExecute is intentionally not listed as a Variable that I can access to execute the function, what is the intended way of using this functionbloc...

Hi I am using Codesys V3.5 SP17 (64Bit) and I am experiencing the following issue: I download my program to a 750-8204 CPU (Modbus Master) that communicates to a Slave Modbus PSU. When I select the modbus master, it shows the Bus is running but when I select the modbus slave device, it shows timeout, and I can see the counter incrementing for requests that is being sent out. However when I connected RS485 to USB as a slave on the Modbus network I do not see the Master transmitting any data. When...

I have tried using archive but its the same results. when opening the archive and trying to login into the plc, it gives me the same issues. The compiler thinks the offline program is different from the online program. I can do a video recording as an example, and I will post it. Regards

Hi I am using Codesys 3.5 SP17 (64bit). Example: When I download revision 1 of my program to a Wago 750-8214 PLC and go online after the download, everything is fine. Codesys recognize my current project I have opened matches the one on the PLC and I can online monitor. When I copy that entire project folder over to a different computer, and try to go online with the program I just downloaded, Codesys gives me an error of the program on the PLC not matching the Program currently opened, and forcing...
