What I would do: just ignore the compatibility warning. Download the example, open it and downgrade the libraries so it will compile in your IDE. Then run the examples and study them. I bet it will work just fine.

Hi, I advise you to read the SFC editor help which is quite good and clear. There are many ways to implement what you want but without the context of your code it is very difficult to give a good anwser
