Old question but since I stumbled on it others might. He probably added the function he wants to be called before using the "add event handler". If you don't add it first they will be created with the correct params.

Worked for me too. Now I have to find out why I didn't need to do this on very similar systems and what the security issue is

Why do you develop things like this? The workflow should be highly dependent on autocomplete, then if that's not super obvious browse to definition and everything is made clear possibly with the checking of a few types. The nature of how things are done makes me think these libraries aren't developed for general use and are actually internal or for partners. The example projects include objects that don't appear in autocomplete and then lead nowhere obvious when browsing. Do you consider developer...

Hi I was wondering if there's a pattern I can employ to acheive what you're doing but with a "reference to" and also allowing for online changes? Someone told me that the new beckhoff keeps references safe during online changes but all the documentation I've found suggests that's not the case. The easiest thing is to use fb_init for normal vars and pointers and references can be added in the function body every cycle and this allows for method calls after so far as I can tell.

Well still similar questions remain. I don't know of "CmpRecoverySwitch" and the only thing google has to offer is your xml file. I think you'd need to provide a lot more info before anyone makes much effort here.

I've noticed that exceptions in system event handlers don't stop the runtime or call the exception handler. I've included a very basic example to demonstrate. It seems likely this is undesired but unavoidable. Is that the case? Is there any advice on the matter? Thanks
