I am an engineering student undertaking a PLC project. I am trying to connect a PLC to a to an Aveva Wonderware HMI. I have the PLC connected to my laptop via an Ethernet cable with the HMI software running on the laptop. The CoDeSys version I am using is 2.4.
I have tried using the CoDeSys drivers supplied with the Aveva software and followed their instructions for communication over TCP/IP however I am still having trouble getting it to work. My next thought was to use an OPC server for communication however I am not sure how to set up the communication on the Aveva side of things.
My question is has anyone connected CoDeSys 2.4 to Aveva Wonderware if so what method of communication did you use and what is the easiest way to set it up?
