No matter what device I add under Profinet controller, I am completely unable to edit the I/O mappings. I'm trying to add a 8bit IN/32bit OUT generic device to a TBEN-L4-8IOL, but since this device doesn't exist already I can't edit the generic devices to add or remove IO fields.

usually you scan the pn devices, no need to add anything.
right click to pn controller scan device
