Hi there,
I have a project on Beckhoff CX5140, the CX Internal side seems to be able to scan modules just fine (CmpCX5000Mpd). However, the EtherCAT Softmotion Master is unable to scan devices, showing Orange triangle.
Diagnostics: Tried uninstalling TwinCAT - Intel PCI Ethernet Adapter and install CmpEt1000Drv but unsuccessful Tried creating another EtherCAT task for the second Master that will need to scan for Yaskawa Drives
Any pointers from Codesys masters :) Thank you.

Hi Edwin,
If I want to use the build in EtherCAT ports on the CX, what would be the proper step. By default Beckhoff installed the EtherCAT Intel PCI Ethernet Adapter driver in Windows.
I have tried the following: Tried removing it from Windows Device Manager but it right away reinstall. Tried to update driver to cmpET1000Drv from the RTE install folder
*Tried to just add cmpET1000Drv component on the RTE configuration. The log failed and say no driver installed.
Looks like the PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1533 (Beckhoff Ethernet Device) is listed on the inf of cmpET1000Drv.
hi,
as long you do not see the CODESYS driver installed in the windows device manager it will not work.
Does Windows revert to the Twincat driver after reboot/bootup (if so disable secure boot) or is it more like the CODESYS cmpt1000 driver fails on installation?
Regards
Edwin

Unable to get the option to select the "TwinCAT - Intel PCI Ethernet Adapater" to install in TwinCAT tool. I want to establish the connection between ethercat slave device and PC.
In TwinCAT tool when i click on TwinCAT->Show Realtime Ethernet Compatible Devices in that list i don't find TwinCAT driver. Is there any driver installation needs to be done manually before performing this from TwinCAT tool?

Hi
should work with cmpEt1000drv.
Another option is to use EK1110 and connect the drive to the backplane EtherCAT.
Cheers

Hi Edwin,
I was able to follow the following help on the cmpET1000:
https://help.codesys.com/webapp/_cds_rtev3_adding_dynamic_components;product=core_codesys_control;version=3.5.14.0
and get it to show now as CoDeSys EtherExpress GBit PCI Ethernet Adapter and showing on PLC Configuration as Component is installed as Windows-driver.
Will report in a few hours if I get the EtherCAT working with my application. Thanks.
