I am working on project for master thesis, I am creating communication between two PLCs working in simulation mode. I have doubt that, Can we able to create communication between two PLCs working in simulation mode on one PC station.
If it is possible then can we use Modbus or profinet IO ?
can we able to create communication using OPC UA communication protocol?

Hi,
you could not use the Simulation mode for this, you have a full featured plc on your CODESYS PC -> Control Win
this plc could do Profinet / Modbus / Ethercat what ever is needed an has an OPC UA Server embedded. So please just start the plc and Login to the real plc on your machine. https://store.codesys.com/codesys-contr ... __store=en
(you do not need to install this - it is still installed on your CODESYS pc)
The other option is to use Control Linux SL ( you Need a Linux/Debian/Ubuntu - 64Bit or similar) this plc could to
Profinet / Modbus / Ethercat as well and has an embedded OPCUA server. https://store.codesys.com/codesys-contr ... ux-sl.html
