Hi,
this device will not work without adding it we need some changes.
As soon we get one we will check and hopefully support it a.s.a.p
Does anyone already have one?

My rpi 3 just arrived yesterday. I was really happy but somehow the inputs of the GPIO not work, bytheway the outputs are fine.
Anybody has this experience? Or where can I look for the solution?
I have a rpi 1 also. Empty project, I can see the inputs and outputs fine. Replace the device with the rpi 3, same project, update GPIO to rpi2 then the inputs are not work anymore.
Thanks for the ideas!

Hi,
I can see exactly the same issue with my raspi 3 unfortunately.

I see. That's a problem, I just bought rpi3 for using it with CoDeSys ....
Do you beleive is it possible to fix easily the IO -s somehow via the Linux command promt?
Or should I have to put the rpi3 inside my cabinet and find it a year later when the right target will be availabe?
Thanks,
Gergo

Had some issues with the wifi.. but now it is working
Combined the example projects "Ethercat" , and "Webvisu" , and added some code to access i/o on Ethercat modules
On a larger project , i had issues - with timing , and got exception error

Hi.
No, inputs are still not working correctly in Codesys on my RPI3.
I've checked this on simple python script and it seems to work fine, so it looks like it is Codesys related issue.

Hi,
I know it's difficult to answer exactly but do you have a time frame to support Raspberry PI 3?
I'm designing a test system with Raspberry and Beckhoff EtherCAT Coupler with Webvisu and need to order the devices in next couple of weeks, should I wait for official support or use RPI 2?
BR,
Marko.

Hi,
as long you do not use GPIO's and this is the case when you are using Beckhoff Coupler (connected by Ethercat)
I see no Problem on using Pi3Β΄. This is for sure.

I can't connect to my pi3 via CODESYS. Connection with Putty works fine, but i can't find the pi in my CODESYS gateway. When i try to update the pi with CODESYS over "tools" it works and it finds the ip though. I tried this with my friends Pi3 too and it doesnt work. Used sudo update, rpi-update and dist-upgrade too, but it didnt help. I had to use the new raspbian jessy image because the old one didn't start. With my Pi2 and an older Raspbian image i had no problems but i want to use the new one. Any ideas what i'm doing wrong or what i can try?

Hi,
check if with ssh and putty:
top
or
cat /tmp/codesyscontrol.log
if the runtime is running.
In CODESYS give the IP of the PI as Gateway Address to scan (instead of using localhost on the CODESYS PC)

ooops... this runtime was built for raspberry pi (-20, 0x00000BB8, 0xFFFFFFFB)

thats what he spit me out, but i dont really know exactly what it means. ^^
and i found out the following: if i update my pi under tools and then type in the ip manually like you said it works for ~10sec and i can find the pi and connect to it shortly. After 10sec it loses the the connection again and i can't find the pi. :/

Hello!
Good news everyone! A new Raspberry Pi has arrived!
https://www.raspberrypi.org/magpi/raspb ... enchmarks/
344.4kHz GPIO - maybe it will be no longer needed to use i2c shield to control servos!
Have anyone tested it with CoDeSys?

I have already ordered 3 to use for a codesys project. How long do you think it will take to update?
This is hard to say...! We expect the device to be here today, so
first Investigation will then start with the device.

After the first tests on PI3, it seems that everything works without any change for CODESYS and PI3.

Hi,
not sure if this really an CODESYS issue,
has anyone tried to:
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
sudo rpi-update
maybe raspberrypi.org has fixed this already?
Nope... does not work!

Hello everybody,
Does anyone tried if ethercat and webvisu via the embedded wifi port work on Pi 3 ?
Thanks.
Tried a VERY small project , and it works !
Had some issues with the wifi.. but now it is working
Combined the example projects "Ethercat" , and "Webvisu" , and added some code to access i/o on Ethercat modules

Hello everybody
How is the status about Raspberry Pi 3 and Codesys?
I will start with a project but I wanna be sure it is working properly.
Thank you for any help!

Hi,
is this really latest jessi image?
BR
Edwin
yes. i reinstalled it and it still doesn't work. i don't know what it is and what else i can try, because i tried different pi's and sd cards too:/
A new RT image("Emlid Raspbian Image") for raspberry pi 3 has been released from EMLID
Dated 20160408
Just tried it , and so far - it seem to be ok
I tried a new sd card and installed the latest image and did everything you advised. Now it works for me too thanks a lot for the help
