I think I need a clarification about Codesys Virtual control SL, because after receiving many calls about this product, now I am not sure what it is, and what better place than this to clarify them.
In my opinion, Codesys Virtual Control is not a new product, but a new work philosophy. For example, let's imagine that I have a computer with 30 cores, lots of RAM, many ethernet ports, etc ...
Now what I do is to virtualize this computer with some tool, for example, ESXi or Kubernetes, or another similar tool. What I do is to create multiple virtual machines selecting the necessary hardware for each virtual machine.
Once this is done, I install Debian on each virtual machine, and then I install Control Linux on each of them. What I get is multiple soft PLCs on the same hardware machine. This is the concept I have of Codesys Virtual Control, so please let me know if I am wrong.
On the other hand, I have been testing with the docker that came with the installation of the Control Linux package, for example...
C:\Users username>CODESYS Control for Linux SL4.X.0.0.0 VirtualControl, but in version 4.8.0.0.0 the VirtualControl folder no longer appears. Is there another way to use the docker or is it now done in another way.
I think that with the answer of this post, I will be able to clarify all my doubts.
