Hi, With the new Runtime Based User Management, is there any way for WebVisu clients to be logged in to a default user automatically - no login prompt? I would like for the default user to be able to perform normal operation of the machine, without logging in to the WebVisu. This is possible with the Legacy User Management. For the Runtime based user management, there seems to be a default user for the TargetVisu - but not for the WebVisu. -Bjarne

Hallo zusammen, ich möchte mich hiermit an euch wenden, in der Hoffnung, dass ihr mir bei meinem Problem behilflich sein könnt. Ich bin neu in der Programmierung und arbeite aktuell mit einem Wago Controller in unserem Labor, der eine Wärmepumpe steuert. Mein Ziel ist es, vier spezifische Werte an eine bestimmte IP-Adresse zu senden. Dazu habe ich versucht, in das vorhandene CODESYS-Programm der Wärmepumpe zusätzliche UDP-Blöcke einzufügen, um die Datenübertragung zu ermöglichen. Leider hat das Senden der Daten bis jetzt nicht funktioniert. Ich habe auch Bilder der Blockkonfiguration beigefügt, um einen besseren Einblick in den Aufbau zu geben. Über jegliche Hilfestellung würde ich mich sehr freuen. Vielen Dank im Voraus!

Hello everyone, I have a working SPI connection (with transferExt) between a Raspberry master with Codesys and an ESP32 slave. I would also like to use a few GPIO pins. Is there a problem with using SPI AND GPIOs? Environment: Raspberry Pi 4+ with Raspian from Oct 23 Codesys V3.4 SP19 Patch 5 with Runtime Version 4.10.0.0 Device: GPIOs B+/Pi2 My problem: The status is displayed as “GPIOs : not running”. And also during mapping the message “The bus is not running. The values shown are perhaps not actual”. However, the variable changes that I make in my program are displayed under “Current Value”. In the Logic Analyzer, the pin toggles during transmission with small intervals of +-4us (seems to be a cyclical disorder, but I don't know where exactly it could be coming from). This applies to pins that I actually use (output) but also to the other GPIOs (not used). With GPIO 4, the line remains permanently high. Attached is a screenshot from the Logic Analyzer. Channel 1,3,5 were GPIO pin 26, 22, 17 Would be very grateful for help. Best regards

I thought it would be very easy to just connect to the ip address, but apparantly it is not. I am using WAGO PLC PFC200 and my PC as a webvisu. or else can you guys please advice me on which kind of camera should I use as a CCTV system in my project instead of IP Camera. The hole setup is made by 3s. So its a comination of one not two. If Epis decide not to support extra licence whats then the funtion of providing an option with a single license ?? So the idee by 3s has a flod. Epis change the system to add the Stick. I send controller inc stick to Epis. On my software i can see the stick. An then you tel me i need a other license to use an license ?? Makes completly no sense. Codesys should be flexible but is not. I tried Delta. But has no HMI and has its own Codesys ?? Why ?? Then i tried Crist. The block there own system by a password. But dont know the password and cant switch it off. At the end the want me to pay for support to solve ther own made problem. So i send it al back. The extra license is adviced by 3s . Now a few month later still no working solution.

I’m trying to integrate a custom PLC into CODESYS so that it appears under the Device section. From what I understand, this requires a .devdesc.xml device descriptor file. I attempted to create the XML manually, but whenever I try to install it in order to generate a .package file, CODESYS crashes. CODESYS version: 3.5.21.20 Target PLC: Linux ARM64–based My questions are: Is there an official or easier way to generate a valid .devdesc.xml file for a custom PLC? Are there tools, templates, or examples that can help ensure the XML is structured correctly and won’t cause crashes? For Linux ARM64 targets specifically, is there a recommended starting point (e.g., modifying an existing device descriptor)? Any guidance or best practices for creating and packaging custom device descriptors would be greatly appreciated.

Looking for thoughts on creating libraries that can be used on both 32-bit and 64-bit controllers. We are currently writing software in CoDeSys for both target types and will continu to do so for the near future. Projects are always unique, no straight forward copy/paste, yet there is enough similarity between them to use libraries for recurring logic. I do not want to create and maintain twice for both platforms if this is not absolutely necessary. I am aware of useful datatypes like __XWORD, __XINT, __UXINT. Still looking for more information and/or sample code for portable pointer arithmetic. In addition to that: how should one go about when creating and working with compiled libraries? Would I need to compile the same lib twice, once for 32-bit targets once for 64-bit targets? I would end up with two different libs with the same namespace, which does not sound elegant to me. Note: I did not intentionally make the previous paragraph bold. The forge forum software seems to do this automatically upon insertion of a word which starts with two underscores, e.g. __XWORD (yeah, here we go again :) )

Yes, I tried to do what you put in the first code. However, I have a problem with that and that is that the inputs must be declared with the type. I have many data types running in my code (real, int, uint, bool) and I can't put them in the same function, another thing is that I need to instantiate that function for everything I want to write to the slave. You put a for to 200 but it means that it has to be the same data type and inside the array, but I want to get them individually. I'm struggling to do it in a good and efficient way like wago's E-cockpit does. in the first screenshot you can see, you simply type in value, change the package of things you want to write in value change and it does everything by itself automatically, without comparing any old and new values and even less having the need to activate a bool. , it is perfect.

Hello, the information if your axis is already homed you could only find out direct from your Slave. In DS402 status there is no Bit defined. But some manufacturer of Drives use some optional bits or status. E.g. if you have Schneider Electric LXM32 Servo you will find this information in Bit 15. You have to check the manual of your used Servo-Drive f this information is provided in any object and then read it out with SDO.

I need to be able to update (change) the interface of an IO-Link device at runtime. The reason is the connected sensor can be selected at runtime, and some sensors we use have a 2 byte IN interface, others have a 4 byte IN interface, others 16 byte IN, others 16 byte IN/OUT (see attached screenshot). Is it possible at all? When yes, which function should I use? Thank you!

I would definitely try using the "Reconfigure" function block from "CAA Device Diagnosis@ library. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/CAA%20Device%20Diagnosis/3.5.17.0/CAA-Device-Diagnosis/Function-Blocks/Reconfigure/Reconfigure.html#:~:text=This%20function%20block%20reads%20and,take%20effect. Although I have not tried it with Modbus, I had great success with EtherNet/IP, Profinet and EtherCAT. You can also have a look at the other functions in this library. There are useful functions to help iterate through all the nodes under a master node.

Hello, I have been using CODESYS for a while and after updating to version 3.5.18.50 the code randomly stops with this fault. Why is that ? I have tried to locate the fault in the Call Stack but I dont know what to do now... I have updated the projects properly for the version I am using. This fault started happening after like 14 days of using the new version of CODESYS.

Hi, there is a plethora of hardware available for it to be succesful on. In theory every ARM32/64 or x86/64 device is a potential target. Next to this there are embedded device platforms for which specific toolchains are available. Hello, I am trying to control a servo drive and dynamically set its position. I control the drive via EtherCAT with a cycle time of 500us. I use the MC_MoveAbsolute block for this. The problem is that when using a PID controller, I generate the positions I want the drive to move to on an ongoing basis, and I would like the position to be set immediately. The MC_MoveAbsolute block must receive a rising edge to execute, and I would like the movement to be performed without waiting for this edge. I have created a function that generates a rising edge every 1 ms, but I am unable to change this time to 500 µs because the TON function does not support times shorter than 1 ms. Hello everyone, i'm having some problems commanding AS1060 step motor with EL7041 (rev22) drive. With motor i've also the incremental encoder (05.2420.1230.0200.5009). I can correctly move the motor in "Position controller" operating mode with the internal counter. The problems start when i set the Encoder in feedback type or i change the operating mode. Does anyone have experience with these two terminals and can give me some advice of main parameters to check or change? Thanks everyone

Codesys Installation : worked Codesys Starting : worked but right after start it stopped. with Start Runtime it starts again but stops automatically after 5 seconds is Codesys planned for Raspi 5?! Okay i will try. I tried already the different settings. The CodeSys version i use, is CodeSys 3.5 SP20 Patch 3. The device which i use is CodeSys Control For Raspberry PI 64 SL version 4.13.0.0. The wiring should be okay because i'm using the Edatec ED-CM4IND-1432-4C(EU).
