i need help creating a digital clock in CODESYS that should be displyed on a Raspberry Pi LCD Display trough the Visualization built in CODESYS. I have an idea how to display the time by making a 7 Segment Dysplay in the Visu. But I don't know how to get the actual time into the program. Can anyone help?

Hello dear colleagues. I have an ESTUN PRONET servo. I'm trying to control via softmotion over the CANopen bus. There is no Ethercat bus in this servo model. In another project,using Ethercat , I controlled four axes. I have problems with ESTUN PRONET servos. A DSP-402 driver mismatch is likely. I would be very grateful for your help in solving this problem.

I have discovered a rounding error, either in Codesys or in my understanding of numbers. The attached ladder shows that when the up button is pressed the number increases by 0.1, when the down button is pressed number decreases by 0.1, after several button presses the number isn't equally divisible by 0.1. Have I discovered a bug or am I doing something wrong?

I added a main action to an SFC step, and then tried to delete it. There is no delete option in the SFC menu nor in the right click menu of the step. I deleted the action from the device tree, but building results in and error saying the action is not defined. Is there a way to delete a main action?

It is a known issue. It only happens with CODESYS and Wago controllers and the Persistent Variables. It seems related to using 64 bit variables in the PV list (e.g. LREAL). Internally in the PLC everything works okay. It is just a monitoring issue.

tried this with SP22 P1 and I see no issues related to this. Can install the updated library in the repository, automatically get a message in my project that a new version is loaded and when I login, get a message to do an online change and see the new behaviour of the changes in my library.

I have an application using CNC GCode interpolation, but I need to modify the GCode provided to the PLC based on certain parameters. I am currently attempting to modify the SMC_GeoInfo objects in the SMC_OutQueue using the code below. Note that all the other code is pretty standard and works fine, but when I add the below it errors. The probelm arises for the B&R T30 panel after updating Codesys from 3.5.17 to 3.5.19 patch 5. We have to use 3.5.19 for other reasons so we cannot downgrade the version. The scaling problem only exists for the B&R 6PPT30.0702.20F025 panel, the B&R T50 panel and a esa lumia panel work. When we choose a fixed resolution it looks also good, however we also want to support the esa lumia panel with a different resolution. The images show the anisotropic and isotropic option. In the anisotropic option it scales the hight correctly but not the width and in the isotropic option is scales both hight and width false, it also does not start in the top left corner. Does someone have any suggestion why it does not work anymore with the new codesys version and are there workarounds? I added all versions with visualization packages as an image, visuElems is 4.4.0.0.

Im looking for a way to define predefined version of the same structures through "extends"/inheritance. What I want to do is best shown with an example: TYPE log_item_val_type : ( BOOL_ := 0, INT_, REAL_, STRING_ ); END_TYPE TYPE LOG_DATA_BASE STRUCT val_type : log_item_val_type; (* value, name etc *) ENDSTRUCT ENDTYPE (* this/below is not possible as I understand from the compiler?? *) TYPE LOG_DATA_BOOL extends LOG_DATA_BASE : STRUCT val_type : log_item_val_type := log_item_val_type.BOOL_; END_STRUCT END_TYPE TYPE LOG_DATA_INT extends LOG_DATA_BASE : STRUCT val_type : log_item_val_type := log_item_val_type.INT_; END_STRUCT END_TYPE etc. for LOG_DATA_REAL and ..STRING. The system will not allow me to "re-define" "val_type" however. Instead I must do the work-around of defining four different types with all fields individually defined. The benefit if I could extend the base item would be that Im (more) sure the structures are identical. In usage I can call in a specific type rather use the base type and assign which type. Usage by pointer/ref to log_data_base would also be easier.. (* Usage: *) log_data : log_data_int := (name, value etc.) (* Instead of: *) log_data : log_data_base := (name, value, val_type).. Is this possible to achieve in some way that I have missed?

For this, I need to: Open a CODESYS project via script Build the project Run the Test Manager tests from a .TestRepository.xml Collect test results (e.g., pass/fail + a report) Exit with a proper return code (for pipeline success/failure) To integrate this into automation, I’m using the CODESYS scripting engine via Python (headless), but the issue is that the get_testmanager() function isn't available on the project object — even though Test Manager is installed, licensed, and works interactively in the IDE. Are you suggesting that I should: Use the Test Manager GUI to script the logic with its internal scripting language? Or is there a way to launch the Test Manager in headless/scripted mode, while still being able to control things via Python? If there's a supported way to automate tests with the Test Manager using scripting, especially from pipelines or headless environments, I’d really appreciate any pointers or example workflows. The CODESYS key is passed as a USB defice to the VM. I wonder why there are different statements regarding the suitability in virtual machines and if the jitter would be reduced by installing CODESYS runtime on the host installing CDS runtime on the host and using a preemptive kernel (if available for the PROXMOX installation leaving CDS runtime where it is (on the virtualized debian machine) and install a preemptive kernel on the host and on the guest... dear all I am working on a very generic gantry system (virtual drives + win v3 control) reading gcode from external file. In order to stop the interpolator function from running when gaps are detected, SMC_controlAxisByPos FB has the bStopIpo output which according to the manual is connected to the Interpolator's bEmergencyStop. Lets assume that the axis are parked in position X1000 Y1000 and the initial G code movement is G00 X500 Y500. The normal behavior is to travel from the actual x1000 y1000 to G00 X500 Y500. The SMC_Interpolator always gets the X0 Y0 as the initial position, meaning that the bStopIpo is active until the axis are in X0 Y0 and the release the interpolator to set the new positions to X500 Y500. Is there a suggested method to solve this behavior? bonus question: I get a lot of bStopIpo during standard interpolation movements (not gaps). While working with virtual axis this is not a problem but when real axis are installed this will be an issue. What exactly triggers the bStopIpo output? Slow axis accelerations compare to Gcode defaults? Kind Regards

Hi there. I have an issue to read and set time for the controller. In the issue many registers described as writable by 6/16 functions, and, in this time, also(!) readable! For example: I have time registers: min, hour, day, mon, year. By specifications it is possible check time (so I need always update these varibles in loop) and set time by writing these same registers, BUT how to set, if they will immediatle updated by current time after writing? So, I need to separate one address at two variables. I have seen option mark: Overlay of the process image by the holding and input register. I understand this so: When I READ by function 3, I will get variable that connected with the same INPUT address and when I WRITE by 6/16 this will change second variable that connected with HOLDING address. BUT, this mark doesnt work, when I write 6/16 and try to get by function 3, I will get written value instead INPUT variable. So, what to do?

We have finally solved the problem. The version of the Gateway in the computer that worked (3.5.11.0) and the one that didn't (3.5.17.30) was different. We have three different Codesys 3.5 versions installed because we work with different controllers. I believe that, depending on the sequence you follow to install the versions you get a different Gateway version. To solve the problem you first have to disable the "obsolete" services. Open services, serach for (in our case) CODESYS Gateway V3 Version 3.5.11.0 CODESYS ServiceControl Version 3.5.11.0 I stopped the services and changed to Manual Start. Then you have to create the new services. In our case, from a Command Prompt session (cmd): SC CREATE "Codesys GatewayService Rigual" binpath="C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.17.30\GatewayPLC\GatewayService.exe" and then SC CREATE "CODESYS ServiceControl Version 3.5.17.30" binpath="C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.17.30\GatewayPLC\CODESYSControlService.exe" remember also to set them as Automatic Start!

I am in the process of getting a visualization to work with the codesys keyboard. I created a custom keyboard which works fantastic for all input fields in the main visualization. I created a user management for my runtime, which gave me the standard blue login page. The codesys keyboard does not show up when trying to enter the usernam or password. I have tried every setting: changing the keyboard back to the standard codesys keyboard, and changing various settings on the visualization manager with no success. I can only use a physical keyboard connected to the device to enter the password. I did try removing the keyboard to no success either. I even tried creating my own login page so I could guarantee the keyboard showed up. This ended in disaster as I could not figure out the very complicated VisuUserManagement and VisuUserManagementDialog library, and documentation is contradictory or lacking. I imagine that an on screen keyboard is essential for many people's projects when using touchscreen panels, so I am wondering what others are doing. I would rather not use an external virtual keyboard (external to codesys) because this causes its own complications (I am working on a linux build with high securities).
