Hello, I have problems with the I2C communication to an ADS7828 AD converter. I don't get any value back from the chip. I use a Kontron chip (ARM 32SC) with Linux as the operating system. I also use the CmpCharDevice library. I just had the same problem in 3.5 SP19 Patch 6. Trying to use a textlist for Combobox Integer element. The textlist cannot be selected in the IDE, and is not found when manually entering the name. The textlist is copied to the device, but is not used. Can confirm, that copying an existing textlist and renaming it does work.

I continue this topic by myself, I'm very happy with the Codesys support / community ;-) This information (Download time) should be stored in the compileinfo : https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Development%20System/_cds_cmd_load.html But the file is not text-readable (see attached file) so how to solve if download time is empty?

After correspondence with Mr Schwellinger from Codesys the resolution for this was to uninstall the SL 4.14 and install SL 4.13 on the device. Once this was done the licensing worked as expected. I noted that the container then showed a Version 3.00 and not 0.00.

Hi We delivered a system with a PFC100 using the CODESYS Control for PFC100 SL runtime a few years back. The system has once been decommissioned and are now to be commissioned again. Back then, there were only single licenses for the runtime. Can I now upgrade the firmware and runtime without purchasing a new license?

Hello I would like an element in my visu to be only visible when a certain Variable is true, currently it is only capable of being normally visible and then invisible if a certain variable is true. Problem solved The client modbus cycle time was linked to a task at 500ms. Whereas the channel modbus was at 200ms. Certainly problem of packages synchronisation. We have similar issues, with crashing PLCs, but this ranges from 3.5.16.40 to 3.5.19.70. Which log made you confirm the exception crash? I am currently looking for evidence of what causes our PLCs to crash. Network stability could be an issue with latest security roll-outs like 802.1X and segregation.

It seems like a useful option regarding install the different versions of Codesys IDE on the same computer and keep in isolation from each other, but unfortunately it didn't work. Answering to myself: is not possible according to the IFM support, this possibility has not been taken into account, although the interfaces and FBs in Codesys would apparently support it. So I ended up having to deactivate the sensor validation and the backup & restore functionality in the master and implement it in the PLC myself.

Yup, I've been having the exact same issue. A workaround that was working until Visu 4.8.0.0 was using TextList as the type in the frame configuration and then wrapping the text in quotes when configuring it. Im not sure if it will work with variables and I know it does not work if the type is text.

Hi CoDeSys support forum, hope that this is the correct place to ask this. Might be double as i am new to Codesys and dont know all terminology. I am trying to test Codesys with a virtual plc on a raspberry pi 5. Already figured that i need Tools -> Deploy Control SL, enter Communication parameters. Codesys says "Connected". Then tab "Deployment", there i select "CODESYS Control for Raspberri Pi SL" and "4.16.0.0 (all)". Click "Install" and the gui turns grey and unresponsive. The titlebar says "Untitled1.project - CODESYS (Not Responding)" as well. Restarting Codesys and checking shows no package was installed. How to deploy the runtime? Thank you in advance for your time. Edit: After some patience, an error showed up: "Error when sending ssh heartbeat: Session operation has timed out" "Error installing codesyscontrol" Any pointers to what remote command might have failed, or log of some sort, would be welcome. Hi, You can give a try it by adding "Codesys.exe" in the "Exclusions > Process" section of the Windows Security Center or your antivirus program. I hope it works for your situation. If you want to use the Test Manager, I prefer to start all the tests through the scripts of this manager. So open from there the projects, load it and run it. If you also want to use Python scripts to access CODESYS functionality, while executing a Test Manager script, then also start them from the Test Manager commands.
