Hello, I am encountering an interesting problem as below in SP20patch5 variable definition area. I think this is a bug. As can be seen in the attached screenshot, it assigns the same %MW or %QW address to all elements of the array. I hope Codesys team can solve this problem in the next version. Best regards, Imdat

I want to run the following command by linking it to the A-Axis: G01 A45.0 Which TRAFO should I use to do this? SMC_TRAFO_5Axes and SMC_TRAFO_GantryCutter3 function blocks did not work! For example, when SMC_TRAFO_5Axes is used, parameters B and C can be resolved by the transformer. However, parameter A cannot be resolved. Only SMC_Interpolator displays the value of parameter A in the SMC_Interpolator => piSetPosition.dA output. Should I drive this axis with SoftMotion commands (MC_MoveAbsolute etc.)?

I have a Codesys-based Eurotherm E+PLC400 connected to Codesys HMI SL for visualization. I am also bringing in several Pressure Indicators via the Ethernet. Everything works; however, the Pressure indicators sometimes read a negative value. When they do, the displayed value on the screen reads "65532." While I know what it represents, the customer freaks out and wants it to read "0" or a negative number. The value comes in as an integer, just in case that matters. Does anyone have any ideas?

I have come across this. The only way i could get it to work would be to define a word that is also the same address as the Bools. eg %MX600.0 through to %MX600.15 would be individually defined in the variables and them have another variable word defined at %MW300. You still need to break out the word in what ever program you are using to read/write the OPCUA tags.

When you have a deep object structure where not all values are not exposed to OPC UA, the top object will not have a V check mark but be filled fully out. In that case CODESYS do not always registrate changes to inner object. Solution set a V in the checkbox of the top object, build, download. Now you can browse, but all values in the top object will be selected, then you can deselect the ones you don't want, build, download and it works

Ive got a project with 6 devices . Version 3.5.9.2 Now i change one to a other device 3.5.20.40 So i update the project to V3.5.20.4 Now i have a lot off faults in the canopendevices . Somehowe the first has no problem and seems that the canopenstackts stays in V3.5.9.2 the others in V4.2.0.0 But i cant put it back to 3.5.9.2 WHY ? And how can now witch one i can update and witch one not ?

Problem solved, Once the perform_network_scan() is done, y just had to recover the address and using set_gateway_and_address(). I am deploying a webvisu on Codesys 3.5 SP 19.2 with legacy user management. I noticed that when a user logs in, some text and a rectangle I have (for aesthetics) both disappear. I made sure that none of the objects in question are linked to a state variable. Anyone know the cause/solution to this? Nothing crucial to the machine's function is lost, but it is a little annoying.

Please check the attached snapshot. I am converting an int to real and storing in rVlv01_SV and then scaling the value using LIN_TRAFO. In the bottom Status Bar of Codesys, both RUN and SIMULATION are visible. When I enter value 100 as input to INT_TO_REAL instruction and press Ctrl-F7, the value can be seen at the input but the logic seems not to work. I searched for help but could not find anything relevant. What could be the reason. Codesys ver3.5.11 svn

Hi, I want to use Maxon IDX drives for some simple robotic applications. I have used Maxon's Epos for generating a DCF file to import in Codesys (attached). Then I can add the IDX motors under a CANopen manager in the device tree. Unfortunately, I cannot add a "softmotion axis" to the IDX motors. Now I am wondering, why? Hi, I have the user situation represented in the image and I would like CustomerAdmin to only be able to modify/add/delete users relating to the CustomerUser group and nothing else. How can I do? It would be enough not to display the users belonging to the SuperAdmin, Technician1 and Technician2 groups and also the related groups in the UserMgmtConfig dialog box. Can anyone help me? When creating a new Codesys library, I am getting 2 errors for missing libraries. I can see that I am using newer versions of these in the library manager (3.5.17.0 and 3.5.19.0 opposed to 3.5.8.0 and 3.5.7.0 stated in the errors). IDE Version is V3.5 SP19 Patch 6. The "Download missing libraries..." button in Messages list is not doing anything. Why is it looking for older versions of these libraries? Can this be fixed by using the newer versions? How can I download & install the older version of these libraries?

Der Eintrag in /etc/CODESYSControl.Usr.cfg war schon vorhanden. Bisher habe ich das Gerät Pi MC SL verwendet. Laut H. Zenker ist das die "Produktionsversion“ der Raspberry-Laufzeitumgebung. Gibt es kein MC SL Runtime Package mehr? Ist dieses in der Standardinstallation nicht mehr vorhanden und muss manuell installiert werden? Beim Wechsel auf Pi 64 kann ich nicht mehr kompilieren wegen folgender Fehlermeldung: "cmperrors interfaces, 3.5.5.0 (system): C0338: Die Bibliothek 'cmperrors interfaces, 3.5.5.0 (system)' wird nur in 32-Bit-Applikationen unterstützt" Vielen Dank für die Hilfe

In your project you selected the "CODESYS Control Win V3" as device, but the device you want to connect to is a "CODESYS Control Win V3 x64". Those are not the same. If you double click on the device during the network scan, you will get information that these are not the same, but that you can change the type in your project to the x64 bit type. Another option is to "right-click" on the device in the device tree of your project and select "update device" then select the x64 type.

Hello everyone, I encountered a problem in the simulation while working. In a test project we set up a Modbus connection. We wanted to simulate this with test values. The connection also worked, but unfortunately the values are frozen and do not report any “current data”. (Picture attached) Since these are my first points of contact with Codesys and my colleague continues to work elsewhere, I was hoping that someone here might have an idea. Do you think it is something in this library, that makes it possible to do the configuration in a PRG? https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/libs/IODrvEtherCATDriver/Current/IoDrvEtherCAT.html#id1 I think the codesys modbus libraries support configuration and connection to modbus slaves without having to add the slave devices in the device tree. Just do it from function blocks inside the program. I was hoping for something similar with EtherCAT.

I'm using version 3.5.13. Is it possible to handle Recipe Manager in PRG in this environment? Can you give me a simple example? Although it has been confirmed that the functions work on Recipe Manager, they do not work properly when implemented through FB within a simple PRG. I would like to save the current value as a recipe or load the recipe's value as the current value. And I want to save the recipe as a file or load the recipe saved as a file. somebody help me. (TT)

Don't set on SVN. The service phase has started in March 2024 and will be discontinued in 2027. We actually use SVN and have to switch to GIT in the future. As I informed, there is no way of getting a single SVN or GIT licence. I' dont understand, why Codesys forces us customers to pay for an expensive Professional Edition paket from year to year using only one part of it! If you find a way to buy a single licence, let me know.

Hello, I am experiencing difficulties in configuring a CANopen device by sending SDOs. In particular I am attempting to write an Object Dictionary that has VISIBLE STRING as the Data Type. When I try to configure the sending of an SDO from Codesys to configure this parameter I am not allowed to enter a string value. In my particular case I am trying to change the Manufacturer Device Name ( Index 0x1008 ). Could it be that Codesys doesn't manage these types of variables?

Hi peterned, the start position given in the CNC properties is only used if you use the compile mode OutQueue. With compile mode SMC_CNC_REF, you need to provide the start position in the IEC application. The function block SMC_NCInterpreter has an input piStartPosition. You can initialize it with the output of the forward kinematic transormation FB for your machine. In your case probably SMC_TRAFOF_Gantry2. Best regards, Georg

Just adding: sSubscriberdata := ''; Right before your memcopy should fix the extra characters. It is because your are copying 36 characters into a string which can contain more than 36 characters and there is garbage left in the extra characters. Regarding the parsing of json, I usually build a structure that mirrors the json data and use the available methods in the IIoT library to parse the data and fill the structure.

Using V19 Patch 7 and 4.11.0.0 for Pi 4 Model B, My problem is whenever I change a tag e.g bool from true to false it will change in software but the pin will only go high to low after pressing stop PLC in codesys and same if i want to bring it back to high, have to login start plc change it and stop plc in order to change. any insight ? thanks
