Hello - I was wondering if I can run a webvisu in Codesys V3.5 SP 18 when using the Control Win V3 soft PLC. I don't see anything saying I can't do this, but I haven't been able to access the webvisu using conventional methods. Thanks.

I stopped the simulation and tried to rebuild. "Cloned Task0.task0. Priority already in use" error was shown after rebuilding. I used Build-Clean All option and rebuilt again. Now the logic started working. But I am not still sure what caused the error in first place. If somebody knows about this error, please enlighten me. Thanks svn

Try changing the port mode to digital input for each port you want to have 2 inputs in the connection settings for the device. I've successfully used ports for inputs on an AL1920 this way, I think the procedure should be the same for an AL1332.

Can you add a background FB block to the visualization page, and loop through this FB block when the page is in display mode. This FB block requires two more functions, one for executing when the page is displayed and the other for executing when the page is closed.

Hi, we did install the real-time kernel patch on the RPI and also performed the additional optimizations including isolating the cores. Changing the configuration of the planning task e.g. running it on a separate core, changing the cycle times and mode from cyclic to freewheeling did not show any improvements.

Hello, I'm using th IDE Combivis studio 6 (codesys based) and I get an error message when I use IO-link. "The license is missing or invalid. The API is running in demo mode." However the package Manager indicates that no licence is required. It used to work, it seems that the free package has become a paying one. Can Codeys confirm this? BR

I have a serial Modbus RTU communicating to the Slave device. But when the control system is not in Run there is no power applied to one of the Modbus Devices. Can I enable / disable the communications to that Modbus Slave in the code based on my running mode, so I don't get all the errors?

As I wrote before on the title, I have difficulties to connect to see webvisu from localhost. The story: while waiting for the plc+hmi to arrive, I'm preparing the software, mainly the visual parts trough the control Win3 x64 (same version as the ide 3.5.20.10). The problem is that I can't see the webvisu with the installed webbrowser. I don't know if this is a problem, but I changed the port to 9001 (randomly "free") because 80, 8000, 8080, 8088, 3000 are all occupied by other projects (all on the Apache server). Is there something wrong with the config file? This is the url: localhost:9001/webvisu_app.htm and here the config file part "CmpWebServer". It will be a reference, because it's a VAR_IN_OUT. it's a little weird debugging the array online. It just shows as a POINTER TO INT, and you can't actually see the array from the function side. But you can still work with it as a normal array, not a pointer.

I don't know the root cause... But what could help to continue when it seems to hang, is stop the CODESYS (communication) Gateway. Go to the Windows SysTray, find the icon for the Gateway and then stop it and start it again. This will interrupt the connection between CODESYS and your controller.

Hi All, I finally figured out how to solve it. The only away that I got it to work was to define parity to None on modbus configuration, and now works like a charm. Just for the record I'm using the GPIO port pins (8,10) and a RS485 to ttl shield that you can find online. Thanks all for the support! Regards Ricardo

You will need a USB to RS485 converter to connect the PC to the Modbus RTU Slave Device. In Windows this converter will be recognized as Serial COM poort (e.g. COM2, or COM3, see the windows device manager to find this out). Select this port in your CODESYS application. On the PC you need to use the CODESYS Control Win (SoftPLC) to run your application. It will not work in simulation mode, because then the Modbus Communication will not be activated.

Hallo zusammen, ich hoffe ihr könnt mir weiterhelfen. Meine Codesys Version ist die V3.5 SP19 Patch 4 und die Zielsystemversion ist die 4.10.0.0 . Ich verwende Codesys ohne Lizenz. Ich probiere eine Verbindung über Web Sockets zwischen Node-RED und Codesys aufzubauen. Dabei kommt folgende Fehlermeldung und folgender Logeintrag. Ansonsten stehen keine Fehlermeldungen im Log. Ich weiß nicht wieso sich die demo mode Zeit nicht zurücksetzt beim neu starten der RUN-Time. Schöne grüße

Please check the attached snapshot. I am converting an int to real and storing in rVlv01_SV and then scaling the value using LIN_TRAFO. In the bottom Status Bar of Codesys, both RUN and SIMULATION are visible. When I enter value 100 as input to INT_TO_REAL instruction and press Ctrl-F7, the value can be seen at the input but the logic seems not to work. I searched for help but could not find anything relevant. What could be the reason. Codesys ver3.5.11 svn

I found out that the Codesys simulation mode is not good to measure performance. As soon as I upload the code onto the hardware PLC I can see that my visu-task needs around 60 ms to complete. I'm wondering if there is a possibility to find out which visualization/visualization element takes a lot of computing time? Then I would look for ways to decrease the long computing time.
