We have several products working with the 4.13.0.0 runtime and we would like to avoid having to update them all. BR

Hi all, for a deeper understanding of the Codesys RTE - I created a simple application with 3 IEC tasks (Ta,Tb,Tc) each with different priorities, and different cycle times. The application runs on Windows 10 in the Soft PLC CODESYS Control Win V3. If my understanding is correct, the RTE i.e. the Process CodesysControlService should spawn 3 threads (Th_a,Th_b,Th_c) which are executed with the defined cycle times, the priority of the threads should reflect the priority of the task set in the Codesys IDE. Does somebody have an idea, how I could identify the respective threads in Windows? Kind regards Andrej

Hi everyone, I am working on a 3 axes Cartesian robot. I take control of all the axes. In the Ethercat connection, the drive sequence is the same as in the program. For example, in the current program the order is as follows. 1. Axis_Z 2. Axis_X 3. Axis_Y Communication Diagram PLC->Drive_Z->Drive_X->Drive_Y When I try to change the order in the program while keeping the communication diagram the same, there is an axis drive mismatch. How can I fix this?

Enabling Anonymous Login 1. Navigate to 'Device' > 'Communication Settings' > 'Device'. 2. Next, click on 'Change Runtime Security Policy'. 3. In the new window, find and check the box for 'Allow anonymous login'. After completing these steps, you should be able to communicate with the OPC UA server.

Hi These issues occured using a Raspberry Pi 4. I also repeated the experiment with codesys control for Windows, which results in much lower cycle times. With up to 3 ms, I still think they are fairly high given they should run at 2 ms and don't require complicated kinematics. The effect of higher cycle times for slower movements also prevails.

Yes, this works (at least we have it running with Wago PLC and Beckhoff I/O), but the concept works. You need 2 PLC's with at leat 3 network interfaces. And 2 switches (can be unmanaged). See the attached simple diagram for the solution.

Important: ` - Backtick - ASCII 96 ' - Apostrophe or Single Quote - ASCII 39 In the online help for some reason it renders β ... Hi, Problem in your code is that you are not calling the ClientFb cyclic. Please look at the Example from CODESYS: https://forge.codesys.com/prj/codesys-example/modbus/home/Home/ Your code works if the client fb is called cyclic! IF NOT initDone THEN initDone := TRUE; // configure clientTcp clientTcp(aIPaddr:=Ethernet.IPAddress, uiPort:=502); // configure clientSerial clientSerial(iPort:=SysCom.SYS_COMPORT2, dwBaudRate:=SysCom.SYS_BR_115200, byDataBits:=8, eParity:=SysCom.SYS_EVENPARITY, eStopBits:=SysCom.SYS_ONESTOPBIT, eRtuAscii:=ModbusFB.RtuAscii.RTU); // configure clientRequestReadCoils_1 clientRequestReadCoils_1(rClient:=clientTcp, uiUnitId:=42, udiTimeout:=TO_UDINT(T#10MS)); // configure clientRequestWriteSingleRegister clientRequestWriteSingleRegister(rClient:=clientTcp, uiUnitId:=43, udiTimeout:=TO_UDINT(T#10MS)); // configure clientRequestReadCoils_2 clientRequestReadCoils_2(rClient:=clientTcp, uiUnitId:=44, udiTimeout:=TO_UDINT(T#10MS)); // configure clientRequestReadInputRegisters clientRequestReadInputRegisters(rClient:=clientTcp, uiUnitId:=44, udiTimeout:=TO_UDINT(T#10MS)); END_IF // call the client FB's clientTcp(); clientSerial(); // call client request FB's clientRequestReadCoils_1(rClient:=clientTcp, xExecute:=TRUE, uiStartItem:=2, uiQuantity:=3, pData:=ADR(aDataCoils_1[0])); // for more details see Example_TCP, especially ClientRequest control (xExecute, xDone, xError).
