Hi, using the ElementCollections Library, why isn't it possible to mutate a value found within a HashTable? From what I understand, the only way to change a value would be to use the RemoveByKey(), followed by AddKeyValuePair(). My goal is to use a Data Structure that works like a Dictionary in Python. The HashTable seems to come close to this, except that the values themselves seem to be immutable... In python, we can mutate a dict easily (see attached picture).

Hello, I currently have my trend configured with a maximum size limit of 5MB (additional settings can be seen in the attached image). However, I am encountering an error related to this trend, specifically within the TrendStorageAccess library. The device log shows the following message: TrendStorageAccess: prvCheckForSizeLimit (see the attached image for details). Does anyone know the reason for this error? Additionally, where can I find more information to troubleshoot this issue? Thanks in advance!

Hallo Zusammen, ich versuche die Bibliothek FloatingPointUtils.compiled-library-v3 zu benutzen. leider kommt dabei folgende Fehlermeldung: Kein Quellcode für dieses Objekt... (siehe Anhang) Wie kann ich diese Bib einbinden? Kann ich diese irgendwo herunterladen? Mein Ziel ist es ein DWORD (float) in ein REAL umzuwandeln. Hallo, ich hatte heute gestern Probleme mit mit Aktivierung der Lizenz (der Softcontainer auf dem Raspberry hatte sich nicht geöffnet) und dann habe ich hin und her probiert und dann irgendwann ging es, bis ich festgestellt hatte, dass die Lizenz auf der Workstation liegt (es geht um eine IIoT Library SL Lizenz). Ich habe versucht, die Lizenz irgendwie zu verschieben, habe es aber nicht hinbekommen - kann mir da jemand helfen?

Hi all, this is my situation : plc weidmuller UC20 WL200 AC target version 4.12.0.0 codesys 3.5.20.0 Actually i'm testing the program without license (2 hours). i'm trying to use the function block ModbusServer. I used it on the past with codesys 3.5.14.40 an it worked. Now not. i can connect (as you see byClientConnctions = 1) but i dont recive a reply from server. Someone can help me?

Hi pernockham, I think you should ask your device vendor. For some time I used one from an Italian company where they had made a library where you can manage the ip with a function (something like SetIPAddr...), it was based on connmann on linux. From my little experience is better to use the "default" way, so for me is to manage the config file on interfaces or use the ip addr utility

Bonjour DIEGORAMONM, très recemment,je pense avoir résolu un problème similaire en allant dans le Placeholder (Espace réservé) du Gestionnaire de bibliothèque. Dans cette nouvelle fenêtre, je sélectionne la bibliothèque qui pose problème, et dans la colonne du milieu je clic pour définir une bibliothèque de version inférieure. à la compilation, je suis passé de 484 erreurs à 0. :) J'espère que ce sera également le cas pour toi. Bonjour Diegoramonm, Je pense avoir eu un problème similaire. Je l'ai résolu en dégradant la version de la bibliothèque qui me posait problème après également une mise à jour. Ouvrir le gestionnaire de bibliothèque / Ouvrir l'onglet Espace réservé / La fenêtre Placeholders s'ouvre. Sélectionner la bibliothèque voulue puis double cliquer sur la bibliothèque(carré jaune)concernée et choisir une autre version. puis recompiler. Pour moi cela a marché du 1er coup : chance! Bon développment!

Maybe you have the "Devices" tab open(?), but the "templates" are in the POU pool. You can open it from the menu: View - POUs, or if it is already open, select the POUs tab which is normally next to the Devices tab. All objects which are part of a library are in the POU pool, because they should be device independent (at least most of them).

Hello I am using FTP_CLIENT to donwnload/Upload a text or CSV file from FTP server. UpLoading from PLC to FTP server is working without any problem but when I try to download from FTP server I get an error. The FTP_CLIENT Block allows me to add URL but I do not where I can specify the direcory to save the downloaded file... is there anyone has an experience with downloading from FTP server using FTP_CLIENT block. I simply dont understand where the encoder channel A/B suppoded to be mapped when i got to I/O mapping on encoder I get nothing to where to set the channels for the encoder or is there any blocks from a library or how is it that you use an encoder with Codesys it doesn't seem clear at all

Hallo zusammen, vorweg: ich habe sehr sehr wenig Ahnung von Codesys, industrieller Kommunikation etc ... Ich soll für ein Seminar mithilfe der Library SysSocket eine HTTP Verbindung zwischen PC und und der Wago PFC200 herstellen, die wir hier im Labor haben. Ich habe mir unterschiedliche Examples von Codesys angeschaut, ChatGPT gepromptet etc. aber komme nicht in die Nähe von irgendwas, das funktioniert. Kann mir jemand ganz einsteigerfreundlich erklären, welche Bausteine ich benötige und was mit diesen getan werden müsste, um das ganze zum laufen zu bekommen? Wäre auf ewig dankbar ... Hello, Recently I was trying to run 6DOF robot in codesys via SMC_Trafo_ArticulatedRobot_6DOF, unfortunately no matter what parameters I tried, it always outputs InvalidConfig Error. I saw the same issue in a topic: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Motion/thread/16e1f0327f/ But if I understand correctly, the user solved it by developing his own version of this block. I wanted to know if it is a bug in the library (SM3_CNC 4.20.0.0) or am I doing something wrong? Can anyone confirm that they can use the FB without it reporing the Error? Kind regards,

Hello, currently im working with a RevPi connect 5 on a codesys project. Up until now I was having a blast because things were going really smooth but for like almost a day im kind of stuck on the integration of multiple profinet sensors into my project. This is kind of a bummer because that should be an easy thing to do. What I tried so far was to create and additional ethernet adapter where I then tried to connect my devices. in the beginning I tried to connect the devices directly which was not working because I could assign the IP-adress only to the ethernet adapter and not to the devices but the device was found in the device repository (this gets important in the second part) So what I tried next was to setup a PN-Controller and connect my devices subsequently to the Controller. Sadly now the devices wont show up in the device repository anymore. To me its not clear why this is happening. And the worst thing is: I went ahead and setup a device completely like I would want to have it in the project and when I then click on scan devices I can even find the device. But it can not be added to project for whatever reason eventhough im 100% certain that the gsdml file is the correct one. Can anyone help me with this. Like I said this seems like an easy thing to do and its taking me way longer than expected already. The only thing that came to my mind why this might not work is because I have codesys license which only allows one profinet instance. Could that be the case? The error message seems then pretty unfit but ok. I will be grateful for every advice. Thanks in advance! Best regards!

Hi all, I’m currently trying to improve my OOP structure in CODESYS and I’m looking for some input on how others approach this. I understand the basics like inheritance, interfaces, abstract FBs, methods, and properties, but I still struggle a bit with the overall architecture and what’s considered clean or scalable in bigger projects. As an example, I’m working on two different energy meter function blocks: FB_EnergyMeter_MQTT reads data from MQTT (strings) FB_EnergyMeter_Modbus reads data from Modbus (words) Both have their own Update() method and implement the same interface (something like IF_EnergyMeter). Later on, I’ll probably add more meter types, but they should all behave the same from the controller’s point of view. Now, there’s a FB_GridControl block that needs power data from these meters. I see two options here: Define the meter blocks inside FB_GridControl and call them directly (for example fbModbusMeter.UpdateModbus()). Keep the meter blocks outside and pass them into FB_GridControl as interface references, so the control block doesn’t know which specific type of meter it’s dealing with. Option 2 feels cleaner and more flexible to me, but I’m not entirely sure how to handle the data flow in that case. Should I pass the meter instance through an interface reference (REFERENCE TO IF_EnergyMeter)? Or is there a better way to link the external FBs to the control block? I’d like to hear how you structure this kind of setup or see an example from someone who has done something similar. I have a J1939 network (ISOBUS) connected to my PLC. I can receive various PGNs such as 65256 (Vehicle Direction/Speed) and 65254 (Time/Date). However, I cannot receive 65267 (Vehicle Position). PGN 65267 (VP) contains SPN 584 (Latitude) and SPN 585 (Longitude). On the network both SPNs return a value of -210 (meaning the CAN message payload is zero in both cases). The conversion settings are the default values and appear to be correct (see attached screenshot). Using a CAN analyser I can see that PGN 65267 (Vehicle Position) is being transmitted over the network with valid (non-zero) data that matches the latitude and longitude coordinates I would expect. I've created a program to read the raw J1939 data and this also returns valid data. It seems that the Codesys J1939 database has a problem with reading PGN 65267 messages. Can anybody else confirm this? I'm using Codesys Version 3.5 SP16 Patch 5.

Im looking for a way to implement ST-code into the visualization element without creating a helper POU or method in my device/application tree. Like visualization properties are evaluated at each VISU_TASK cycle I want to be able to create own ST code which interacts with the visualization interface variables. To be more specific I want to have a property which executes user defined ST-code at each VISU_TASK cycle exactly like its already possible for Input Configuration on various mouse and dialog events. Also a property for initialization (so only executed once) and a timed property would be nice. With the situation right now I'll have to create a POU function which handles the ST-code and misuse a property, like the text variable, to execute this POU function at each VISU_TASK cycle. Or does it exist and I don't know it?

Goodmorning TimvH, Thanks for the reply. I don't know if your solution solve my trouble yet, I am going to see the link you sent me. In the mean time I try to explane better what I need to do. I have a turbine system that get in alarm under some condition (E.g low speed of turbine) and block the itself. When the system is stoped there is no speed turbine and the system cannot start. To give to the operetor the possibility to bypass the alarms, there is an acknoledgement alarm pushbutton. This bypass must not work for everyone but only for those client that perform the login by (User Management). Furthermore, if the user perform the (manual or automatic) logout in alarm conditions, the acknowlegment must be annulled and block the system again. To do this, I need to know if an operator is logged in the page and is working to fix the problem; otherwise the syste must autoturn off again. Now I go to study your solution, if I have explaned better and you have another idea tell me please.
