Hi There, For my understanding: are you trying to display the contents of a text list in an alarm message based on the id? For example, you could maintain a text list of common alarm messages, and then display based on which message is true?

Good morning, I'm using a raspberry pi3 as plc with the runtime 4.9.0.0. My program has many of retrain variables but when an update is performed the retrain variables comes back to default values. Is the a way to backups the retrain variables n a csv file? Is still the way to restore them from the csv? Thank you for helping Luca

I've post the Versions in the Attachments. It seems with htop, that there is a very high CPU Load. In the Log I can see nothing, as mentioned above I've to restart the PLC with Power off/on and the log in codesys was deleted. Or what do you mean with plclogger?

Hi, Got same problem, appeared after 4.3.1.0 update. Prabably problem is in performance. I am using virtual machine, so adding one more core and several GB to RAM still not solved, but atleast did system more stable. Try optimise your main program or set less task interval. It seems as though the browser element doesn't support this and we are trying to replicate an example using the ActivX element with no luck. You can use the (open source) FTP client in Forge. This works on 64 bit systems. See: https://forge.codesys.com/prj/ftp-client/code/HEAD/tree/ As this is open, the idea is that when you use it and make improvements to the source code, that you also commit this in a branch so others can also benefit from it.

It seems that there is a limitation with the STRUCTs. Does anybody know, what’s okay to save (add to the recipe) and what’s not okay? Or is there another problem with my project? If I have only an array in the recipe definition everything works perfectly (see project).

Is there a variable indicating that a gearing or camming operation is pending? For instance MC_Gearin has beeen triggered, but starting point of master axis to start the sychronisation movement is not reached yet, so the slave axis is just waiting for this. I should be able to differ between a pending and active gearing or camming

After installing this new 4.12.0.0 SL version on my RPi5 8GB and the latest bootloader, the runtime disappeared after 15secs. The bootloader my pi uses is from 2024-06-11. I was able to resolve this issue using this post: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/be25c0ff66/ The workaround works for me.

Hello Check: on the latest version the location change: If the PLC is started with the "CODESYS Control Win SysTray PLC Control", it runs in the Windows user account "LocalSystem" and therefore the effective working directory is "C:\Windows\system32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\" or "C:\Windows\SysWOW64\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\". An administrator account is required to access these folders

At the moment there are some changes on PI OS, which lead to problems with the PI5 an Pi runtime. I would use Arm SL or Arm 64 SL as runtime depending on which OS you have installed. just use the CODESYS Installer and deploy the the Arm runtime.

The new (UTF8) string library is faster and can handle large strings. https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20String%20Libraries/_strlib_start_page.html PS, in CODESYS, the maximum string length is not 255 characters. The String functions of the standard library are limited to strings of 255 characters. But you can use other (memory) functions to handle strings larger than 255 characters.

I had this problem when running the application as a Simulation. When I wrote it to the Pi all worked as expected. If this isn't the case for you, we've seen some issues with sqlite on the Pi's - so reset Origin and re-download may help in that case. Good luck, Mark

Hello just to give more feedback the error I get is "ERROR_UNKNOWN :represents raw value of 5110" in File.DirOpen. The xDone never gets true, and I never get the listing of files (csv files in this case). In the hDir i get the value of 0 for a DWord!?
