Hi. I published My CODESYS-CNC Project to GitHub and I set it Open Source Software. Here https://github.com/k-s-saki/RPi_CODESYS_CNC My CNC Project is binary file , using FBD for IPO , so I found it is a little bit hard to work with people on GitHub. (diff / merge ) My question is 1) Is it possible to convert my project ( only POUs is also fine ) into text file ? How? 2) Would it be better to rewrite all FBD/LD into ST and copy them manually to text files? Thanks.

Hello, You use the WAGOUpload tool. You can download it on the download center of WAGO. Make a backup and restore it on the new device. (if can check the remanent data to copy the persistent variables if necessary) You can also use a SD card, go to the WBM copy it the image to the SD card and restart the other controller on the SD card. In the WBM, copy it back to the internal flash. If you contact your local Wago office, they will more than probably help you. There is also a WAGO forum. RP,

Help wanted This is the first time i'm doing a Modbus Tcp project. I have some VLT with a extension module MCA-122. i'm currently unable to write to the VLT slave, but i can read from status word parameter=1603 and address := 16029 where the address is calculated from parameter is ((id x 10)-1). in the manual the functions that are supported are 3 hex, 6 hex, 10 hex, b hex and 11 hex. read holdin registers, write single register, write multiple registers, get comm. event counter, report slave id. i'm only using the Modbus Slave Channel is this wrong when trying to write to the vlt ?

Hi, I'm currently reading and writing several registers with a Modbus TCP server as a subdevice of a Modbus TCP Client. If I read and write cyclically, there are no issues. The problem is this: I see there is also the option to write by "Application", which I would like to use. However, I don't know With the Modbus RTU client, I see there is a trigger variable, xTrigger, to trigger the writing tasks. However, I can't find any such trigger for the Modbus TCP Client. Does anybody know how to implement the trigger behavior for the Modbus TCP client? In particular, I struggle to find the exact "trigger" variable. I'm running Modbus Client version 4.4.0.0 Thanks in advance!

I want to extract each element of an Array. Can someone help me with this. When I use JSONElementToString (part of JSON Utilities SL), I am seeing output as "ARRAY" instead of actual data. Here is the JSON content that I want to read : { "value1Unit": { "units": "M" }, "data": { "stepSize": 300.23, "points": [6,8] } } I would like to read each item of the element "points" i.e. 6 and 8. Hello all, I am facing issues with using SysCom library. With SysCom23 library things were simple but since we are migrating to 64bit systems, I am writing a Porting program. With SysCom23, opening the comport was as simple as providing the ComPort no. which returns the Handle as a DWORD. dwHandle:=SysComOpen(Port); But the new library is a bit different. It is asking for 2 input parameters to open the Com Port - Port Number and POINTER to RTS_IEC_RESULT IF hCom = 0 THEN hCom := SysComOpen(ComSettings.sPort, ADR(pResult)); How should I use the RTS_IEC_Result? I can find RTS_IEC-REUSLT under SysType2Interfaces of SysCom library. Also, can someone give me a general understanding of this RTS_IEC_REULT and RTS_IEC_HANDLE, etc.?

In the ScriptingEngine documentation there seems to be an error (or missing information) in the ScriptIecLanguageObjectContainer part ( https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/ScriptingEngine/ScriptIecLanguageObjectContainer.html#ScriptIecLanguageObjectContainer.ScriptIecLanguageObjectContainer ). The description of the function create_pou() doesn't specify the correct arguments requested, it only says create_pou(type: SpecialPouType) and a script using the documentation definition of the function will raise an error. Hello, we have aproblen to connect our CODESYS OPC Client to the OPC Server. We installed the client according the CODESYS manual. We can browse the server and variables can be linked to the PLC. I created a self signed certificate for the CmpOPCUAClent as described. The server has a cerificate also. I copied the certificates to the trusted zone of server and client. But when it comes to data exchange we get an error message. "Communication error in data source OPC UA Library. Error ID : 7001 German : "Kommunikatinsfehler inder Datenquelle OPC UA -Bibiothek. Es wurde kein genauer Fehler angegeben. Fehler ID : 7001" It semms that there is no cerificate exchange. We are working with CODESYS 3.5 SP19 Patch 5. Can anyone here say something about this error or has an idea for a solution? Thanks.

Hi, I have installed different versions of Codesys, 3.5.7 - 3.5.8 - 3.5.16 - 3.5.19. When I create a project in Codesys 3.5.16 and I try to open an instance of Codesys Control Win V3 x64 it always open version 3.5.19, so appear a message windows about versions of devices are different. I have tried to open it from the installation folder and always open the last version 3.5.19 C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.16.0\GatewayPLC C:\Program Files\CODESYS 3.5.19.70\GatewayPLC Does somebody know how to open an specific version of Codesys Control Win V3?

From this array, I need to foram LREAL number, however, because of different endiannes I need to reverse bytes in this array and then copy to a LREAL variable. Hi Everybody, I'm looking for a simple way of comparing two array of a structure. My structure is define like this : TYPE Positions_T : STRUCT PosX: DINT; PosY: DINT; PosZ: DINT; END_STRUCT END_TYPE I have multiples Var : ARRAY [0..220] OF Positions_T, that I need to compare quickly. I don't really want to do a Loop that goes by every 220 points and compare each one of them so I was wondering if there is another way. I came accross the MEM.Compare function, but it require to know the size in Bytes of the memory, and I don't know how to do that... Has anybody an idea on how to do the comparing easily ? Now i am running to problem, when i create instances and i want them to appear directly under the object directory, However, it always appear with me under Objects >> Device set >> Device Name in CODESYS. I need to know how i can change the directory of my instances 'inst_3' and so on. So they can be under objects directly. I tried to modify the settings, but couldn't find any leads till now. Hi there, I have a Keyence bar code reader connected to my plc through Ethernet/IP. The Bar code is 20 digits long (like 30100790020493036016), the scanner reads it correctly (I can verify that through the keyence software) but when it sends it through ETH/IP, it doesn't fit into a 64 bit variable and it trunks the data.(I've tried ULINT and LWord without success). When I loaded the EDS file, the read variable was defined as a byte with 128 bits length, which is quite strange for me. (see attached picture) How do I manage this variable? Thanks!

I want to implement an extended I2C master for Raspberry Pi Control. I was hoping for it to be as easy as creating a library with a FB that extends i2cMaster and associating it with a device following the forge drivers documentation, but I haven't managed to make it work as the driver behaves only as an i2c slave. I'm thinking this is because the forge forum only talks about extending i2c, and the master portion is omitted since most users won't want to add a custom one. I'd like to know if I'm doing something wrong. Is it really possible to make an I2C master extension device? If so, are there public examples we can check out? Any info on this topic will be appreciated.

Hi everyone, I need some help with displaying an image (test.png) on my device. Initially, showing the image is straightforward. However, I want to be able to update the image dynamically. My goal is to send updated files via FTP to the device, and have the display automatically show the latest version of the image. All images will be sent with the same name (e.g., test.png). Currently, I can see the updated image after sending it via FTP and performing a warm restart, but I'd like to achieve this in runtime, without having to restart the display or application. Does anyone have suggestions on how to implement this? Thanks in advance!

Hi All, I use the analysis page in automation server to capture historical trends from my PLC - i only sample one point per hour but it does the job (for now) One issue I have is I often log on to analysis page to find the system has stopped recording trends from my PLC. To fix this, I need to choose "state information" in the "List view" under PLC and click "Reconnect" When I do this I see my variables listed under "parameters" under "PLC Details" start updating again and the trend in Data analyzer continues to update. My Question, Why do I need to manually reconnect? Is there a way to get automation server to automatically reconnect to the PLC so I continue to capture data from the PLC? Regards, Trent

It seems you have 2 network interfaces. Did you try eth1? Did you already configure the IP address for this interface in Linux? If yes, then maybe undo this. - or only set eth0 in the Nic configuration without anything else (so no IP address, because this is already set in Linux). For more information about the Nic settings, see (probably already read it?): https://content.helpme-codesys.com/en/CODESYS%20Control/_rtsl_obj_deploy_control_sl_configuration.html PS, if you only want to run CODESYS Control SL, you don't necessarily need the Virtual PLC variant. You could also install and run the CODESYS Control SL Runtime in the Host operating system. This way you should also be able to access the serial port and directly access all ethernet ports. Maybe this is easier?

Dear all, does anyone have experience with HTML5 controls recently? CODESYS 3.5.20.30 / Visualization 4.6.0.0 I'd like to create a simple lightweight text editor, with proper multiline handling, cut & paste, scrolling, etc. And it seems to work fine, just have problems with strings longer than 80 bytes.... Declaring a variable sText1 : STRING(8000) and referencing it in the HTML5 Controls corresponding value property works perfectly one way: the code receive the data as a string (See log1)... (Note TypeID 1000...) Also sending back the data (seems to work (See log2) except it doesn't change the value of the bound variable. Probably the issue is with using SendSimpleValue method... Naturally, I could do a workaround, but maybe there is a more standard way to implement this... Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Hello, I would like to know if there is a PROFIdrive layer in CODESYS. I am already familliar with Codesys's SoftMotion on CANOpen/EtherCAT (to control PLC Open FBs), and I need the same kind of stuff for PROFINET-IO devices; In my configuration, I have a CIFX board from Hischer to enable IRT, the SoftPLC "Codesys Control RTE V3 x64", and a servo-drive from INFRANOR that implements PROFINET / PROFIdrive (with IRT) protocol. CODESYS introduced many cyber security related changes over the last few years, one of them is to restrict file access. By default, file access is restricted to the PlcLogic folder and subfolders of the CODESYS control runtime of version 3.5.19.0 and newer. For Control Win this would be the folder C:\ProgramData\CODESYS\CODESYSControlWinV3x64\xxxxxxxx\PlcLogic\ To enable access to other folders, you can configure additional paths by adding them to the file CODESYSControl.cfg. For example: [SysFile] FilePath=C:/temp/test FilePath.1=C:/Users/Public You should now be able to access your file in C:\temp\test\ or in C:\Users\Public

Hi, I tried some different libraries (CmpApp etc.) to find some global variables that I could read out as a variable in the codesys environment. Do any one of you know which libraries are best suited for this, and how I can read it out? My goal is to send messages, warnings etc. to the system that communicates to the PLC. Currently if something goes wrong I need to see the logfiles, or go online with the controller. I think I could save a lot of time if I could read the errors from our user interface that is connected to the PLC by TCP/IP.

looks like you are running in a bug in the newest version 4.4.0 of the profinet library or the new library triggers a bug in your code. did you update your profinet device too? you could try to downgrade to an older version of the library. via library manager - placeholders, double click Profinet 4.4.0 in the library column and choose an older version.
