Hi, Has anyone managed to use the last four buttons in a POU toolbar in LD2? You can close and open by clicking from one small rectangle to another (same for deleting a closure //). Linking K to D causes a series connection with all the branches // above. Amazing! I don't really see the advantages of this supposedly modern and efficient language over the old LD/FBD. Can anyone explain?

i want to make a frame for use multiple places for showing pressure and temperature. ive tried to decleare a variable in the frame config, if i put a fixed value in the value text field it show correct until i simulate. and if i point to a variable i gvl it show the name of the variable, and when i simulate it shows rValue. is there a way to do what i want?

@eschwellinger do you have any examples of using a USB barcode scanner? I have read through the forums here and I am unable to find how to get the barcode data to populate in a text field without having to first click into the text field to activate it. Is there a library that allows you to access the barcode data? I am really new to this in general any help is greatly appreciated, hopefully you have a pretty clear example

That calculation will not work the way you expect it to. If PumpFillSpeed is limitied to 0-50 then the only whole number would be 50/50 = 1 everything else is 0.0-0.9999... and since you are using word and integer only 50 would work since there is no representation for mantissa in integer values. Declare a temporary real variable and do the calculation and then do a REAL_TO_WORD in the DRV2Speed assignment.

OK.. so maybe I miss understood for how the forcing order works. It seems that the force list is applied at the beginning of every task call (I'm assuming this based on what I am seeing). If I force my variable FALSE and then write it TRUE in a task, then it stays TRUE for that task, but then in the next task it will go back to FALSE.

Hello, I'm trying to configurate a frame. My goal is to have a frame with the symbol of a component. When I press the symbol a dialog screen of my choosing comes up. What variable should be used in the frame configuration, that I can put in the input configuration of my symbol. so that I can chose which dialog screen comes up on my multiply instances of this frame. Hi, When I try to install my codesys program with the new application-based licensing, I have an error "it exceeds the scope of the license agreement. See Device > Licensed Software Metrics" In the Licensed Software Metrics section, I see a code size < 3MB and less than 2700 variables in visualiaztions. I'm using a license "Control Basic L" with "Codesys Visualization L" option, so it should be enough with these metrics. What can I do ?

Because this multiple address will produce one reading of a sensor that I am currently using. Hi, Recently I bought a CR710S controller from IFM. I installed Codesys V3.5 SP11 as recommended and all required packages (including the safety packages and the IOWrapper package). However, I can't even open the project template without getting errors related to libraries failing to load (below in the first print screen). Then, clicking ok appears only 2 errors (second print) and when trying to go to simulation and login I get another 2 different errors (third print). I really appreciate any help anyone can provide, I'm completely stuck on this right now.

All Sensors from the OneWire Master are assigned already to a seperate task with low prio (26) that runs with 1s cycle time. My EtherCat Task is running with Prio 1. It all works fine, until I adjust the CODESYScontrol.cfg or the CODESYScontrol_Usr.cfg files so that it supports a 2nd OneWire Master in the Codeys Runtime. If I change something in this config file and reboot my EtherCat Master stops working.

Hi, I have a Linux 64Bit system with a Codesys application running on it. It stops after 2hours and a few minutes, which makes me think something is wrong with the installed license. (in my last timing it stopped after 2h4min, on the codesys website it is stated that runtimes without a license stop after 2h) I installed the license via a USB license dongle that I activated on my workstation with the Codesys IDE a while ago. Now the system is shipped at not accessible physically, only remotely via SSH. So is there a way to check the status of the License of the Codesys runtime when it is running on the system? Running the codesyscontrol script with "status" just tells me that it is running, but does not provide any license information. Best regards

I ordered a cheap managed switch and tested it as soon as I received the switch. It works great! I even went a bit further. As you can see in the screenshot, I created 2 Codesys containers. Each one having 2 fieldbuses. The first one has EtherCAT and EtherNet/IP and the second one has EtherCAT and Modbus/TCP. All going through the same ethernet port from the PC to the switch. The switch splits it up into 4 different networks. The hardest part was to figure out how to configure the switch. @eschwellinger, thank you very much.

Ok, with debug you suppress the errors, but that doesn't help you any further. You can find information about the missing drivers here https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Runtime/thread/8981ce928a/ and here https://github.com/stefandreyer/I2C-Multiplex I'll have to have another look at which library you need. But you can easily find out. Create a completely empty project and insert the TCA9548. You don't need the board. Then look in the library and resolve all conflicts If you can compile the project without errors, delete the TCA9548 and insert the ADS1115. The driver should then also run. Small bonus: with the TCA9548 you can expand your network as you wish and use identical sensors multiple times

Thank you for your quick response, I have updated to the 4.17.0 (Virtual control and the license server). Now I am able to see the softcontainer from the Codesys IDE. But when I want to activate the license I get the following message: Licensing info not available. The device does not support this service (See picture). I then tried to active it via the WBM service like you suggested. But when I try this is get an error (see picture for error). I also tried to put RTS- in front of the serial number, but when I try this I get an error that the serial number is not correct. I think I'm getting closer, but I'm not there yet.

Hi Guys, I'm new to CODESYS on the pi and I'm struggling to get it working. My issue is that the runtime keeps stopping after approximately 15 seconds. I have installed the runtime package 4.11.0.0 on the pi, trying on both a 64 bit and 32 bit OS. Looking at old forums it all references the 4B and the fact they used 32 bit Debian bullseye (the last version of raspberry pi os) however the pi 5 doesn't offer this version when I try select it in the imager. Has anyone managed to get running using the pi 5? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Adam

Hello, i currently want to use a wago 750-8102 with the "codesys control for pfc100" runtime. I want to add the devices connected to the internal pfc100 bus via the "search devices" tab. This was reccommended in the following thread: https://forge.codesys.com/forge/talk/Deutsch/thread/7701332199/ But whenever i try to search for devices codesys just doesnt find anything and i cant close the "search devices" window. Has anyone got an idea what the problem might be? I already tried adding the devices connected to the pfc100 manually but the bus just doesn´t start. best regards Moritz

Hello Alex, the message is generated by the CODESYS code generator based on the DevDesc settings of the memory areas available for the target. The problem arises when after too many online changes the area is full. Therefore no more boot project can be generated. Short-term remedy as described in the dialog: Clean and fresh download. This way the initial memory size will be "used" again After how many online changes did this error occur? There is no set limit on the number of online changes, but making too many changes could be a risk. br Simon

Hello, I made this configuration, I'm moving the encoder value to SM_Driver_PosControl.in.wActPosition. When I make the absolute movement of my PosControl axis, my physical drive axis rotates perfectly, but I noticed that the movement is not followed by the encoder. That is, if I hold the encoder and keep it in position 0, the PosControl axis makes the absolute movement of 314 mm and stops, which is strange because the encoder is at 0. Theoretically, the PosControl axis should accelerate to try to compensate for the movement error. I haven't yet achieved perfect functionality.

Hello, I have been using CODESYS for a while and after updating to version 3.5.18.50 the code randomly stops with this fault. Why is that ? I have tried to locate the fault in the Call Stack but I dont know what to do now... I have updated the projects properly for the version I am using. This fault started happening after like 14 days of using the new version of CODESYS.

Hello @eschwellinger, Why not using one of those 2 folders: C:\ProgramData\CODESYS C:\Users\Public\Documents\CODESYS The main reason is depending on the company and the user right, the end user may not have the access to use those folders. Also having a non version dependent folder may help if the end user uninstall a previous version and forgot all its sample project where in this previous version installation. Thanks.

Hello, I'm trying to access the group IDs of the connected user. "CurrentUserGroupId" var shows only the first group ID that the user is assigned, I need the other group IDs that the user is in. An interesting remark for CODESYS Support. I found this after looking through the Runtime Deploy Tool messages when I connect to an AMD64 architecture Successfully Connected to Target ( {MyIP} - AMD64 ) when I connect to an ARM64 architecture (Raspberry Pi5) Successfully Connected to Target ( {MyIP} - ) As clearly seen in the attached .png, the AMD64 target is detected, while the ARM64 target architecture is not detected (displayed). I assume that this is the reason why the pulldown menu isn't populated correctly.
