Hello, We use a controller that comes with a bunch of predefined faults. These faults are considered active and historic. They are a 32 byte array but only take up 26 bytes of data. Because of this the historic faults start at address 26 instead of 31. Active faults variable take up address location 0 to 31. Historic faults variable take up address location 26 to 57. Because of this overlap I get an error that these overlap and it wont allow me to download to my controller. This isn't an issue in 3.5.5.4 but becomes an issue in newer version. Is there a way to turn this off? If I change the address location, the historic faults then become broken without doing some manipulation in the code. The software will build just fine. I use fbMsSQL_compact(FUN) of the MySQL Library to write data to the database. There is no problem when writing data using only fbMsSQL_compact(FUN). However, when I try to write data obtained using SysProcessExecuteCommand2 to the database using fbMsSQL_compact(FUN), an error message "Dest server on ip address:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx and port:1433 is unreachable" appears and writing is not possible. Hi, I am trying to build a CI/CD pipeline around our codesys projects. The only entry point if the git url and branch, as we do not put our project file under source control, so we needed to find a way to git clone from the python scripting engine. This is currently how we do this : system.commands["Git", "Clone"].execute( "ProjectLocation=" + project_dir, "ProjectName=" + project_file_name, "RemoteUrl=" + project_git_remote_url, "GitProjectStoragePath=" + project_git_local_dir, ) system.commands["Git", "Checkout", "Branch"].execute( "PrimaryProjectHandle=0", "BranchName=origin/" + project_git_branch ) This works fine, except that, depending on the environment and the project, the "Project Environment" popup gets displayed to suggest for some updates, and waits for a user interaction, even with the "--noUI" flag injected as parameter. I investigated the VersionUpdateFlags, but the problem is that the git clone is an atomic operation that clones and directly opens the generated project without the possibility to inject any updateFlags argument (only used in the ScripProjects.open() function. I also tried to simulate some keyboard events acknowledge the window from script but I did not find the right location for the SendKeys statement, I think before the git clone call is too early and after is too late. So I am wondering if there would be some other way to do that. Is there some more proper scripting api for the git add on ? Is there a global configuration of the VersionUpdateFlags that would allow the popup to be disabled outside from any project context ? Is there some way to automatically acknowledge this kind of messages in a "--noUI" mode ? What do you suggest ? I have set up a brandnew Beckhoff panel pc with a codesys control runtime V3. I configured it together with 2 profinet field devices: a 16in/16out IO module from Turck and an MTS linear encoder. The machine works fine untill all of a sudden the communication breaks and the profinet participants become unreachable. At that point I can still ping the device, but the profinet master does not find them anymore: When i do a scan they are not found. When i do a cold restart, the profinet master becomes active again and the devices are found again. In the log i get Ethercat packet receive error: sysethernet. I am a little confused, there is no ethercat device in the device tree. I already set the send clock and the reduction ratio to higher values, but without result. Can codesys be configured, so that the communication re-establishes without doing the cold reset? This is very annoying and is causing a lot of prodution losses. regards Tim

Hi there! I'm using eCockpit WAGO software to develop HMI's for multiple projects. As I recently starting this, my knowledge on the software is somewhat limited (so maybe my question is a simple one). For most of my projects I can simulate the application and start it to test the code and HMI. However for two projects, I can initiate the "simulation activation" but I cannot start it. Nothing happens when I press start and the visualization shows "The online visualization is waiting for connection. please start the application". - I don't see any errors in the messages - Initially the project are made by a colleague, which moved on. I guess I'm forgetting something, like missing a setting. I appreciate any help I can get. If you need more information to help me out, let me know. Thanks!

If you mean you want to shift the Origin or Zero position of your axis, you can try MC_SetPosition and set the position to 0 (if you want to take the current active position and make it the new 0. Adjust this number accordingly if/as needed). This means the servo drive keeps it's current origin position, and Codesys applies an offset to the servo drive position in the logic. You can also use the homing function of your servo drive using MC_Home and have your drive configured to set the current position as origin when it receives a homing command.

Hello, I'm playing around with a single axis. I've setup scaling and set the drive to move 360 degrees in the commissioning tab. The axis does move 360 degrees, but it moves much slower than the 360 degrees per second that I set for the velocity. It seems to be about 3 times slower (taking about 3 seconds instead of 1). This is despite the set and actual velocity both being displayed as 360. The acceleration, deceleration and jerk are all set to very high values. I'm just running this on my PC, using demo mode (no license purchased yet). I've attached a video showing the problem. Does anyone know what the problem could be? Thanks

dhumphries, I changed the datatype this time from BYTE to USINT (because that's what my adapter is sending: array of uint8_t). The text "New Help String" you saw in previous screenshots is just the description of the input/s (it can be anything). I also looked into the logs (see attached) for that ! sign next to the device, I found that connection is being timeout. I tried some suggestions from online such as increase the RPI but still got connection timeout issue, also by changing the datatype, I still don't see incoming data from the adapter, although its visible on wireshark. thanks,

Hello, I'm trying to connect with a Wago TP600 HMI but without success. I'm using codysis 3.5 SP19 patch 7 (SP20 block all the time) and the official wago package is installed. However, when I scan and select my device, I get a message saying that the device doesn't match the project's device object with the possibility to update the device (as shown in the attached picture). however, after choosing to update i got a message that the device is not found. I've tried with a new empty project but the same results. do you have any ideas? Thanks.
