just now i have tried loading the achive file from today at work. using 3.5.20.4 same as at work. when i open the project it says " prject inspection, this project has been saved with a different version(codesys v3.5 sp20 patch 4).? one option in the above "project inspection" window just wants to download that same version again. the other option leads no where as it say the required add ons cant be resolved. just end up going around in circles.

hi all I have a FB with IN/OUT variable. Inside the FB, I want to get the address of the IN/OUT variable. If I use __SYSTEM.VAR_INFO, I get the address of the FB copy rather than 'external' variable. VAR_IN_OUT MyVar: bool; END_VAR VAR Info: __SYSTEM.VAR_INFO; END_VAR Info := __VARINFO(MyVar); This give me the address of MyVar but I actually want the address of the variable passed to MyVar Any clues please?? thanks, ph

Hi, The '' characters in Codesys are there only to indicate it is a STRING type. They are not actually added to the string, maybe you are adding them unintentionally in the concat function? You can send your data from Codesys to Hercules to verify... Another option is to send the data as an array of bytes instead of a string, with every byte representing 1 ASCII character. https://www.ascii-code.com/ This way you are 100% sure Codesys is not adding any unwanted characters.

The problem is looking for a bug somewhere in CoDeSys in that, when the slave returns, the cyclic data exchange resumes, but the diagnostics do not update and the node continues to resulting off-line. it is not a problem with the PB master, but with its 3S/CoDeSys management. CoDeSys 3.5.19.20 runtime. Any ideas on how to fix it? Thank you.

But it depends on how you start CODESYS where the project files are located (at least for Control Win from SP20). 1) If you start it through the sys tray icon, you start it as a service and the files will be located in: C:\Windows*System32\config\systemprofile\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS... (or C:\Windows*SysWOW64**\config...) 2) If you start it as a user, e.g. with a shortcut to the runtime, you can find it in: C:\Users\<your user="" name="">\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS...</your>

However, when I tried to launch Codesys today, I was informed that a license was missing. I suspect that this is due to the SVN module. Hello, I'm facing the same problem, I can access the FLIR AX Series camera through the IP converter software (go2rtc). In the CODESYS 3.5.19 patch 7 software, the streaming does not appear in the webvisu even using the URL "http://xxx.xxx.x.xxx:1984/stream.html?src=flirr". I used the "RTC" and "MJPG" modes. HW: PFC200 750-8217/600-000. FW: v27. If anyone has a solution, could you help us?

The MC_Home or MC_SetPosition requires a programm cycle to be completed. In my application the speed is approximately 120m/min and the programm cycle is 2ms. That means that i will have a 4mm loss on each Trigger of either MC_Home or MC_SetPosition. The best option is to change the value defined in the axis configuration. I tried the SMC_SetMovementType but it only works with the axis standstill or powered off. I need to be able to change it while the axis is moving.

Using a UNION instead of a STRUCT alone should give you that flexibility and only occupy memory once. And if you want to be really elegant, you could use an FB, which only holds PUBLIC VAR. Because a POU can use "EXTENDS"/inheritance. In CODESYS V3, an FB has a lot in common with C++ classes. Using ANY or ALIAS is rarely a good idea. It neither won't be pretty, nor have good readability and requires you to create a lot of error-prone things around it.

Hello, I have set up an OPC UA server following several guides, including this one: https://revolutionpi.com/documentation/tutorials/opc-ua-codesys-nodered/. The license for the runtime is installed on the device. However, I am unable to create a certificate for the OPC UA server in the security screen. I always get the error message: "The certificate has not been created by the device." Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Im Putting alot of my custom functions blocks into a library I have a EthernetIP VSD FB that i would like to get Status from the adaptor. EthernetIP_remote_adaptor.estate is one what i want to get. so anyone know how to point that to my function block? when i use the block i just want to have an input "Drive" that would point to the adaptor. like in softmotion when you just put the axis name in the FB to point the FB to a certain axis. Thank you for the suggestion. There is a certificate created in the quarantine directory relating to the URL used for the webclient FB. This certificate should have been valid as it was created only the week before this problem was encountered. I investigated a separate location using the same https URL and it has 2 certificates in the same quarantine directory, 1 is created almost 200 days ago, the other over 100 days ago. There have been no similar problems encountered with these certs or https at all.

After updating my Codesys to later versions, it seems my device repository no longer lists the proper runtime devices, nor ethernet adapters, or other previously installed device descriptions. What needs to be done here? Do I need to uninstall and do a clean install? I am now updating to SP21.1 to see if that fixes it. Any tips what I am doing wrong here are much appreciated. I don't see codesys control win, or have the ability to add an ethernet adapter in my project.
