hi all I have a FB with IN/OUT variable. Inside the FB, I want to get the address of the IN/OUT variable. If I use __SYSTEM.VAR_INFO, I get the address of the FB copy rather than 'external' variable. VAR_IN_OUT MyVar: bool; END_VAR VAR Info: __SYSTEM.VAR_INFO; END_VAR Info := __VARINFO(MyVar); This give me the address of MyVar but I actually want the address of the variable passed to MyVar Any clues please?? thanks, ph

Maybe the easiest solution for you is to add one STRING variable to your recipe and enter the name of the recipe in variable value. This is little bit double the work (naming the recipe and entering the value of the STRING variable), but in that case you always have the current value of the variable which you can read from the application and show in the visualization.

It seems like a bug in FBD. Work-around: If you click on the small line between the box and the output variable and delete this, the variable is removed. When you then assign a variable again (Ctrl-A), then you will see that the line will be a bit longer. If you then select the previous variable, you will see that it works.

The acute accent character is used for backticks: ´ (Unicode: U+02CA) The use of backticks is recommended in order to be able to use the same identifiers in CODESYS as in other programming languages or documents, such as circuit diagrams. Any character may be used between two backticks, except line breaks and other backticks. Keywords are also allowed as identifiers between backticks. Examples: ´Variable+9´ ´INT´ The backticks are part of each identifier and therefore var1 and ´var1´ are two different identifiers. You should not use the "open dialog" to change the value. Instead use the input configuration "Write Variable" to change a variable value in the visualization. in the setting of this input command, you can choose the Input type (select dialog).

If you are switching a frame based on the "Switch Frame Variable", then just use a variable that is accessible to your program to set your active frame. If you're trying to see which is the active visualization, then use the "CurrentVisu" variable. Note you'll need to enable this by checking it on in the Visualization Manager settings. If it's neither of those, you'll need to be more clear on how you're project is set up.

I'm programming an HMI, and on a settings page I have external buttons allow the operator to tab between various elements to select which one they want to adjust. I then use "Input Configuration" > "OnMouseClick" to select which variable to adjust. The problem is, when adjusting the variable the pointer will move to the other elements within the tab order. Is there a way to pause or prevent the pointer to move to the other elements when a variable is TRUE?

I found a way to do it: You can use, for example, the text variable property of any visualization element and call a function in it. Example: Write a test POU as a function (FUN), like MyTestFun which need a boolean Variable as an input value. Now write into the text variable property: MyTestFun(bBooleanValue) Thats it. The function is called at each visu_task cycle.

Hi, thank you for replying. Basically, I have a main visu with frame selection. So, under some condition the frame will switch to a specific frame. It used to be controlled by variable using "Switch frame variable". However, I realise it will change all the HMI screen at one time. So I removed the variable, and still looking for a solution to do that. Do you have any idea?
