I am considering using a SoftMotion cam and tappets to activate functions on a machine - for example, triggering a pneumatic valve. I need the ability to change the actuation point (tappet "X" location) from the HMI during machine commissioning. Is there a way to change the "X" value of a tappet programmatically?

I had similar issues with the OnDialogClosed not being called. I realized that this behaviour is resolved, when the according visualization object on which the input configuration is set is moved to the foreground. Somehow, the object has to be one of the lowest elements in the Element List (i.e. in the foreground) for it to work.

We resolved by going to Local Group Policy Editor > Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Windows Settings> Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options. Set "System Cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing" to DISABLED

You need to go to Local Group Policy Editor > Local Computer Policy > Computer Configuration > Windows Settings> Security Settings > Local Policies > Security Options. Set "System Cryptography: Use FIPS compliant algorithms for encryption, hashing, and signing" to DISABLED

I'm also seeing this issue, my instances of the frame will date but not for new parameters that I add to it. Has anyone seen a fix or a way to force the parameter update other than recreating all the frame instances?

Not sure, but maybe before you enter step 5, set i, lineindex and charIndex to 0. And the buffer variable should have a size bigger than 1 line. Additionally I think you should set bufferstart to 0 before you enter step 5. And in the OSCAT function you always point to the buffer address, but shouldn't this be (buffer + bufferstart)?

Hi, which CODESYS Version are you using exactly? Either update to 3.5.21.x if you are on 3.5.20.x if not - add a more secure pw. Seems that on adding the login credentials it is mandatory in 4.16.0.0 -to have complianct to password policy seems a bug that the message not occure.

It is not needed to add Targetvisu connector - for using the TargetVisu for Linux. The reason is - TargetVisu for Linux is basically a remote TargetVisu which could connect to any CODESYS plc not only the loacal one - therefore only a Webvisu connector is needed to have it work. & it seems a bug with this anoying update proposal.

Hi kporter, a more direct way would be to use SMC_FollowPosition to write the set positions directly to the servo drive. This FB has reacts on changes of the fSetPosition on each call, without a need for a rising edge on Execute. Ok, I got UTF-8 encoding working by encoding the full block character using [16#E2, 16#96, 16#88], which corresponds to U+2588 "█". Moving forward, I’ll use this for creating a QR code with Version 10-M (byte mode). This version allows up to 213 characters to be encoded.

Any reason BIT and BOOL data types are not interchangeable? Trying to make a function which takes a BOOL IN/OUT parameter (Not allowed to use BIT) In the main logic if I make a DINT variable, and want to use each bit on different functions CODESYS will not allow it.

Hi, Im not sure if this is what you mean, but i do succesfully use the IoDrvEthercatLib.ETCSlave.InputData and IoDrvEthercatLib.ETCSlave.OutputData to read from and write to beckhoff DI and DO cards. Very convenient as you can make an FB with an VAR_IN_OUT of type IoDrvEthercatLib.ETCSlave and only have to pass the slave reference... So i am not using .ETCSlave_Diag but .ETCSlave...
