Hello, I have been using CODESYS for a while and after updating to version 3.5.18.50 the code randomly stops with this fault. Why is that ? I have tried to locate the fault in the Call Stack but I dont know what to do now... I have updated the projects properly for the version I am using. This fault started happening after like 14 days of using the new version of CODESYS.

Hi everybody, I am looking for a solution to send files, for example, to an ftp or a cloud. I can't use oscat library because 64 bit controller are not supported. Therefore, I see that the IIoT library has some functions that might help me to implement this sending process in codesys. Does anyone have any examples of how to do this? I have spent some days with this issue without success. Best regards.

Yes, you can use the CODESYS ControlWin V3 Soft PLC. However, if simulation is enabled on the device this will disable all communication, so you need to turn off simulation to view the visualization in a web browser. In simulation mode, all IO and communication is disabled for standalone testing. In addition, make sure to set the start visualization in the WebVisu object in the application tree. We can I find the GUID / ObjectIds`? I wasn´t able to get details about the GUID of DataTypes (STRUCT/ENUM,..)m, Functions (FUN), GLOBALS and TYPES. Hello everyone Since I have installed Codesys 3.5.20sp2 I cannot get the profinet features working again. Now I get RPC Blocked during device scan (see attached file) and when online I get RPC-call error (see attached file). I run Codesys on the last version of Windows 11, Profinet ports have been added to Firewall rules, and even with disabled Firewall I get same result I really never seen that before Same result using another PC I already spent 2 days to find the issu without any success, I would appreciate some help, thank you! Hi, I'm watching an ifm tutorial on how to setup an industrial controller in CODESYS. I'm using an 'ecomatDisplay43inch_64bit) controller. CODESYS Gateway and PLC are both runngin (systray). However if I click "Scan Network" I can't find my controller. The only thing it finds is a "desktop" it seems (I'm using a Windows 10 on a Mac Book using VMWare, so maybe it has something to do with that?). How can I fix this? Thanks in advance!

Finnaly i get it working. There was a line in the file that set the ADS1015 chip in /boot/firmware/config.txt which i removed and after that the ADS1115 has a green turning circle and i got values. i created a new component so it fits our ADS1015. see screenshot. It works also with Codesys Control for Raspberry Pi 64 SL after adding the ULINT_TO_UDINT conversion in the library. i think the chip was all the time in use by the Raspberry pi itself. Hi all, this is my situation : plc weidmuller UC20 WL200 AC target version 4.12.0.0 codesys 3.5.20.0 Actually i'm testing the program without license (2 hours). i'm trying to use the function block ModbusServer. I used it on the past with codesys 3.5.14.40 an it worked. Now not. i can connect (as you see byClientConnctions = 1) but i dont recive a reply from server. Someone can help me?

Hello, I am struggling with Edge gateway to the automation server. It is not possible to establish the link. When I create the Edge in codesys and get it to Automation server, it is red, unable to connect. Scan fails. RPi 4B Runtime 4.13.0.0 Edge gateway 4.13.0.0 Codesys 3.5.2.40 Any idea what to chase? I have been using previous versions of edge gateway. Now I updated all to latest versions, failed. Frustrating.

The goal is to control a Siemens G120X VFD via Ethernet/IP. The .eds is installed into the device repository. The VFD is added and is using the connection and assemblies from the eds. It appears to reach the VFD but fails to establish a connection. The status message is: Diag String: 'Adapter configured. Open all connections.' The PLC is a raspberry pi 4, running codesys target version 4.13.0.0. The development environment is CODESYS V3.5 SP21 + (64-bit). Anyone have experience with this combination? Alternately, where should I look next? Thank you, Mark

To better track project changes in git I created a script that exports the project structure as text files. Textual POUs are stored as text, everything else as XML (with timestamps removed). The file structure is stored under path/to/your.project.txt Git merge will not work, but at least tracking changes is much easier. Dear Eschwellinger, Thank you for the response. Does that mean that the license-manager inside the Codesys-IDE does not work with this setup anymore? Because when I use this I get the notification that there is no dongle attached to the device (see picture). And If I insert the license by the deploy tool, can I then redeploy the Codesys virtual control container, or does this erase the license completely?

There seem to be problems with the latest version of raspberry pi os 64bit (I used the lite version). The codesys control runtime crashes after a few seconds. The same runtime works on the raspberry pi image from 2023-10-10 When starting the runtime from the commandline, i get the following error: ooops... this runtime was build for RASPBERRYPI. Hardware version or firmware version not supported! (and yes, I'm running this on a raspberry pi :-)

Device: RPI 3b or 3B+ System: Wheezy Codesys: 3.5.16.2 I got the Log: 2023-12-13T00:38:43Z, 0x00000054, 2,6,11, !!!! Warning: Eventbuffer full for app=<app>Application</app>; an inputevent with the tag <tag>128</tag> has been dropped This log happens aroud 10 times a second. Sometimes the controller stopped working any more. What is the reason for this? I will update this controller soon (I hope so, but in the meantime I should at least know hoe to prevent this issue) Mario

hi! this is also a delayed answer, sorry for this. when coding in python i get the TCA9548a working. Is there someone who knows how big of a effort it would be to update Stefan's original code to make it work with a more up to date version of codesys or should i downgrade my system? andrax - are you using a downgraded version of codesys or have you downgraded all the libraries? Hi! I have usually only connected one OPC client (our system) to an OPC server created in the codesys environment on a PLC. This OPC client has a lot of write privileges. A customer also want OPC access, but I want to restrict his access to only read certain values. Do you know if this is possible inside the single codesys runtime running on a controller?

Good morning, I am currently working on implementing a display dimmer. I want the display to dim after X minutes. This works so far. The implementation is done via the Linux subsystem, to which a command is sent to dim the display. However, my problem is resetting the timer when input is received. I want the dimming timer to be reset with each click/touch. Unfortunately, I can't find a suitable solution for this. Are there any ways to do this? Codesys v3.5 SP19 Patch 2

Hi All, I'm using codesys on a raspberry PI. I use V3.5 SP18 Patch 2 development system and codesys for raspberry pi 4.8.0.0. Sometimes when I build the project I get error messages C0007: Expression expected instead of ',' and C0032: Cannot convert type 'Unknow type: '!!!'ERROR'!!!" to type 'POINTER TO IoConfigParameter'. I can't click on the message to bring me to the fault. After I do a "Clean all" the build finishes successful. Anyone who can help me with this problem? Thanks! Remco Borghuis

I just try to help. Anyway it is a big difference if a Store SL runtime or an oem plc and licence is used. These licenses need to be activated on plc side - so you have dependencies to the version (CODESYS and Runtime Version) Did you ever ask Epis out for this situation? They should know which license fit to their device. Even they should know if the device is capable for Softmotion and see the requiremnts in the CODESYS store: Runtime 4.9.0.0 - how should this work with Epis 3.5.16.x? Anyway refund is not a problem.

Hi, Recently I bought a CR710S controller from IFM. I installed Codesys V3.5 SP11 as recommended and all required packages (including the safety packages and the IOWrapper package). However, I can't even open the project template without getting errors related to libraries failing to load (below in the first print screen). Then, clicking ok appears only 2 errors (second print) and when trying to go to simulation and login I get another 2 different errors (third print). I really appreciate any help anyone can provide, I'm completely stuck on this right now.
