Hi everyone Am trying to make establish MQTT connection , where am using IIOT example for this as a demo mode. where i had given IP-address of of local Linux application as a 172.31.239.67 and port number as 1883 in the PLC_PRG itself, and preparing the publish message by manually as " this is from published message", and this should receive at the subscriber side. Aim: To make communicate external publisher to the CODESYS by using MQTT protocol. By any chance having reference documents about this implementation please share here. and suggest the process to make it possible. I had uploaded reference project file after updating address in th PLG_PRG, kindly assist to configure with the broker

Hi! I'm having trouble connecting to a device in Deploy Control SL. I'm able to see the device is available during a scan, and I can ping the device as well, but when I try to connect I get the message "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it". I've worked on this for hours including turning off the firewall on the device PC but nothing seems to work. The device is running a fresh install of Windows 11 IoT Enterprise 2024 and the Development System is 3.5.21.50 running on Windows 11. Thank you in advance for any ideas!

Two issues. Ive been struggling to get the user management the way I want it. I want to protect the device from unauthorized upload/download, but I do not want login requirement on webvisu. The combination that seems to work is to use "runtime device user management" while keeping the visu user management in "legacy mode"? Initially this seemed to work, but now images are not loaded when using direct access, while they are still shown if I access the webpage via Automation server. Im guessing its connected to the authorization changes? Anyone able to help out? Thanks Also, I read that legacy mode should be avoided, is it possible to use "runtime based visu user management" while keeping direct access to the webpage without login. Hello, I am currently using Codesys Control RTE Softmotion V3 to control my servo-drives in CAN, EtherCAT and PROFINET IRT. I am using a PC with Windows 10 with the following boards: - PEAK-CAN PCIe board (for CAN and Softmotion); - Hilscher CifX with firmware 3.X and SysDrv3s driver (for PROFINET IRT); - Realteak standard NIC (for EtherCAT). I would like to switch to Linux (Debian), because this computer is old, slow, and outdated (Windows 11 is far from being compatible with this computer). Before doing this, I would like to be sure of the compatility between my 3 boards and Codesys Control Linux SL. Otherwize, I will stay on Windows 10 and use it in an isolated environnement. Hello, I think I understand: On my debian gateway I have done: sudo cmu --list cmu - CodeMeter Universal Support Tool. Version 8.30a of 2025-May-06 (Build 6885) for Linux/ARMHF 64-Bit Copyright (C) 2007-2025 by WIBU-SYSTEMS AG. All rights reserved. List all locally connected CmContainers: - CmContainer with Serial Number 130-XXXXXXXX and version 3.00 (empty) - CmContainer with Serial Number 130-XXXXXXXX and version 3.00 (locked) Result: 2 CmContainer(s) listed. The licence has been activated with a computer Name, but the guy who did it make a mistake in the name, so he changed it after to have activate the licence. I think this has created a second container. The licence is actived on the other container.

My codesys is 3.5.21.30. I am using function ModbusServer from library ModbusTCP_Slave. The reason is that I need share 9000 Holding registers. By standard configuration it is only 4096. fbMbTcpDevice: ModbusTCP_Slave.ModbusServer; fbMbTcpDevice( wPort := 502, pInputData := ADR(awInputReg), pOutputData := ADR(awHoldingReg), uiInputDataSize := 10, uiOutputDataSize := 9000, xEnable := TRUE, tTimeout := 10000, InterfaceName := "eth0", xBusy => xBusy, xError => xError, byClientConnections => byConnections ); Ethernet port is cofigured: Network interface: eth0 IP address: 10.10.22.55 Subnet maskL 255.255.255.0 Default gateway: 0.0.0.0 And it only works when I am reading registers with ID 255 by Modbus Poll. Any other IDs don't work. The actual TCP client device try to read registers with ID 1 and I can't change it... Thanks in advance for your help!

You're absolutely right. Sorry for that. In the meantime I wrote a Function block to handle the reads and writes to the different attached RTU-devices. It processes the parameter like (str_Modbus:=(usiSlave:=1, uiFC:=5, uiLEN:=1, uiOFFSET:=0, uiInterval:=500)) and the corresponding output, waits for the response and processes next request in a 5-state procedure. It's working for 2 gateways (stable without errors, although error recovery is included). But nevertheless it should be possible with the Channel definitions of Codesys. Much easier to maintain :)

I've been moving in the same direction. For new libraries, I'm trying to minimize dependencies on APIs that look like they're being phased out unless the documentation explicitly recommends them. For synchronization primitives like CAA.BOLT and CAA.SEMA, I'd love to see an official replacement or abstraction layer that's guaranteed to remain stable across runtimes. That would make library development much cleaner than relying on platform-specific SysLib* implementations or conditional compilation everywhere. Until there's clearer guidance, my approach has been to isolate the locking mechanism behind a small wrapper interface. If CODESYS changes the recommended API in the future, only that wrapper needs to be updated instead of every library that uses it. I still have the same problem with Codesys 3.5 SP18. Initially, my project is ~5 Mo. I work on it for like 3-4 days and it goes up to ~10Mo. If I make an export of the project and import it in a new empty project, it goes back to approximately 5 Mo. Why is it doing this ?

I think more information is needed to help solve the issue. Can you list the exact steps to reproduce the issue? What version of Codesys are you using? Did you add a persistentVars object to your project? I would recommend browsing all instances of the retain variable to see all possible writes to the variable in question.

I can't answer why it's not resetting, but from the description of g_udiMaxReceiveBufferSize, I would guess the sum of sizes of the mqtt packets received in one cycle exceeded this value. I have code written since version 3.5.16 to access the USB drive, how can I do that now the file access has been taken away? I have tried adding a sybolic link to the usb drive in the following directories: /var/opt/codesys/PlcLogic/ /var/opt/CODESYS/PlcLogic/ /opt/CODESYS/PlcLogic/ I still recieve a "FILE_OPERATION_DENIED" response when accessing the USB drive.

You need to create an array with one element for each possible user. I usually define these arrays in the root screen. FrameIndex : Array [0..MaxUsers] OF INT; Then use the global CurrentClientId (defined by one of the VISU libraries) to index the array element used to select the frame. FrameIndex[CurrentClientId]

Hallo zusammen, seit dem Update des Packages Codesys LB/FBD von Version 4.2.0.0 auf 4.3.0.0 bekomme ich beim compilieren folgende Fehlermeldung (siehe Screenshots). Hat jemand eine Idee was die Ursache sein könnte? Der rechte Baustein ist eigentlich ein FB aber die Instanz wird beim compilieren einfach entfernt. Edit: Wenn ich die Ausführung des rechten Bausteins in einem Execute mache, dann wird fehlerfrei compiliert.

I implemented the parts from the CAA Device Diagnosis Example.project and could use it for switching on and off, the CAN devices that were located under the CANbus and CANopen_Manager. But i can't do the same with I2C_master_test_version or devices below this one. In the example project there is only the EtherCAT Master, CANbus and CANopen_Manager, and Ethernet with devices below.

The customer requested that we store the database through codesys without the need for intermediary software such as MySQL, MSSQL,... and be able to export reports at selected times, reports exported to csv files. , xslm,... It seems that there is a limitation with the STRUCTs. Does anybody know, what’s okay to save (add to the recipe) and what’s not okay? Or is there another problem with my project? If I have only an array in the recipe definition everything works perfectly (see project).
