I can confirm that at my 4ms EtherCAT Master the frames per second is equal at round about 500 with Codesys SP19. The same program at SP16 it was at 380-430 f/sec. for me it will be interesting too, whats the reason is for this high frame count/sec? I havn't had the time to use a paket sniffer and analyse all the frames. I can't help with your other questions, sorry.

Doesnt matter. I have installed sp20 with latest RP 4.13. Same problem. Anyway My large project in RP 4.10 and SP 19 and I need these versions and use same installation programm for Codesys IDE and RP4 package. I did install again, because my SSD broke and now cant update raspberry... I dont know how to translate correctly project to newest version - there are 52769 errors and incompatabilities: after updates libraries anyway some errors still because of devices... I found solution with .deb file from raspberry package - dont need IDE anymore for update raspberry.

It is not always a problem happens, but sometimes a rm takes a long time. I reduced the amount of calls to logi2c.py but I don't understand why TASK-i2c sometimes can cause problems for TASK-CAN

I paid money for the RPi runtime because the Product Description says that GPIO is supported. It is also written in the Versions that since 4.11 RPi5 is supported. And I use 4.13. Nowhere is it mentioned that GPIO is still not supported... It's a pity that the Codesys developers still can't find a way to fix it. Are there plans for when it will be fixed or are the developers too weak? Just wondering, is there anyone with a working GPIO? Can you share the details of your system?

Hello, I have a problem when opening the license manager for my raspberry pi (CM4 model) with runtime 4.13.0.0. I select "Device" --> "Soft Container" and click on my device in the scan window but I get this error message : Licensing info not available. There is no dongle attached to this device. I can't install licenses anymore, and I don't understand why is CodeSys looking for a dongle when I specified I wanted to use a Soft Container. Can somebody help me please ? Best regards

Hello, I have a Exor HMI with 2 seperatred ETH interface's. It is Configured as PN Master on ETH interface 1 and the IO's are working, as long as the development PC is connected to the ETH 0 interface. When the PC is disconnected, the PN communication drops and a reconnection is started. I installed the newest device description for Codesys and Firmware for the Panel. The IO Gateway is from Weidmueller What could cause the Problem?

For small project, I would like to use my industrial computer as a PLC + Industrial Computer. Like that I can save the cost of one PLC. That why I am using Codesys on Linux. With the nic it is not working. I already set the IP adress with /etc/network/interfaces. Can it comes from there ? looking to "Control Linux SL" docuemntation it should work with rtu.

I succeed to change the device to PI_SL but still the same problem of the I2C device switching between running and not running. the only difference with your project is that yo use I2C_master device version 4.7.0 and i 4.7.13, for GPIO i also use the 4.7.13 version and you the 4.7.0. Can you send me the older version of the Raspberry PI pheripals library, because i cannot choose lower version then 4.7.10 for the GPIO and I2C_master device

Hi CODESYS team! It seems Podman for Raspberry Pi 3 is not detected correctly in the latest "Deploy Control SL 4.14.0.0" : Linux/ARMHFv7 unknown container technology. 1) The Communication Tab, device information section shows podman technology as DETECTED. 2) The Runtime Deployment menu message says: "unknown container architecture" 3) The pulldown window under the deployment tab doesn't show the options for ARMHF Virtual Edge SL and ARMHF Virtual Control SL. I hope you can fix this soon and keep up the great work!

I cannot find a way to delete the Set method/accessor. Hello, I have set up an OPC UA server following several guides, including this one: https://revolutionpi.com/documentation/tutorials/opc-ua-codesys-nodered/. The license for the runtime is installed on the device. However, I am unable to create a certificate for the OPC UA server in the security screen. I always get the error message: "The certificate has not been created by the device." Does anyone have an idea what might be causing this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I would recommend to ask Moxa for a newer version of Debian. Debian 9 ("Stretch") has reached its end of life and is no longer receiving security updates from the official Debian Security Team as of June 30, 2022. This means any systems still running Debian 9 are vulnerable to security risks and should be upgraded to a newer, supported version of Debian like Debian 10 ("Buster") or Debian 11 ("Bullseye").

Frankly, I'd expect a project created with an older version to compile without errors after opening > it with the latest Codesys version and updating all libraries. Yes, that is a reasonable expectation. I tried a few times but could not reproduce the problem. In case you run into the problem again, we can investigate the issue if you send a project archive. Then I can add the IDX motors under a CANopen manager in the device tree. Unfortunately, I cannot add a "softmotion axis" to the IDX motors. Now I am wondering, why? Searching for it I came across this https://www.codesys.com/fileadmin/data/Images/System/Releaseinformation/Patch-Note-CODESYS-Visualization-4300.html which says it was a bug VIS-1394, fixed in Visualization 4.3.0.0. I'm using a previous visu version, what is the cause of this error, and what can be done to work around it?

Hi, Similar problem, I have license for Raspberrypi Control MC SL. It didn't work with version 4.10.0.0. I have now instaled new version 4.11.0.0. Raspberrypi Control SL. The same behavior, runtime works sometime several minutes, sometime only several seconds. The second problem is with license. There isn't available any runtime MC SL on Codesys shop, not even older version 4.10.0.0. Is it only temporarily or, MC SL will be not available more for rpi?

Hello all, when creating a POU, the Codesys IDE allows the setting "Enable System Call" (in the Settings, Property -> Build), see picture. The name suggest, that runtime functionalities i.e. functions of codesyscontrol such as "stop plc" etc. can be directly called. I tried various approches without success, the following does, unsurprisingly not work. FUNCTION accessRTE: BOOL; ****************************** codesyscontrol.stop(); Can you please tell me how I can make a system call to codesyscontrol from a POU. OK.. so maybe I miss understood for how the forcing order works. It seems that the force list is applied at the beginning of every task call (I'm assuming this based on what I am seeing). If I force my variable FALSE and then write it TRUE in a task, then it stays TRUE for that task, but then in the next task it will go back to FALSE.

I'm installed the CODESYS Control for Linux SL package and am trying to use the Extension API to call a simple C function. When I get to the step to run "make all" on the Linux machine, I get the error: build interface header: out/CmpFirstTestItf.h from CmpFirstTestItf.m4 ERROR: This functionname does not contain _cext (this is mandatory, see help for details): DEF_API(void',CDECL',external_struct__fb_init',(external_struct_fb_init_struct *p)',1,0x1F77E075,0x00000001) Why does "Generate Runtime System Files" create a function that does not have cext in the name? What am I missing?

Hello @rmaas I assume, you've already verified and tuned everything regarding the EtherCAT network. In my case the problem was due to a wrong core assignement. I suggest to not use the core #0 for your EtherCAT task. The OS realtime patch, which is present on RevPi OS, uses the core #0 for its porpouses and it mustn't be used by any other task which requires realtime and deterministic features. regards Rossano

Good day I have been asked to do a project. It is for a pharmaceutical application and data needs to be logged. The spec calls for the control system to comply with GAMP 5 and 21 CFR Part 11. From what I can find online it's got to do with electronic records and validation.
