Hi, I try to install the Codesys realtime in a Raspberry PI 3B+. When I click on the installation button I get always the message No connection to device: An established connection was aborted by the server. Raspberry 3B+ with newest raspberry PI OS. Codesys 3.5.15 Patch 1 Codesys Runtime Package 3.5.16.20 SSH is activated. I can login with Putty Ping is possible IP address search is possible Just the installation is not started.

I still cannot enable persistent manager for my project (and successfully login to a device). Project compiles with no errors but during download/login it fails with the fairly limited message "one or more errors occurred". The only clue I get from the system that this messages is displayed during "Generating code..: relocation pou". Any tips pointing me in a direction how to solve this very much appreciated!

Hi, I'm having some trouble with an OPC client connecting to the PLC. It could be that the problem is on the client side of things. The PLC have UPS power, but the switch and OPC client does not. It could explain some of the log messages. Could any of you help debugging by the log messages in the attachment? And if possible point me to the right library that explains the different messages? I am working on this same thing... I wonder if when you execute it in a "terminal" it is a graphical terminal window running under X whereas when it is run from a SysProcess, it is "headless" and hence X-less Does DISPLAY=:0 magically attach to the X session Wouldn't it make sense that scrot or imagemagick would automatically by default reference DISPLAY=:0 I'm just trying to figure out how this works or is supposed to work

I'm trying to firm up alarming of axis faults. Declutter the code and figure out what's what. Diving into it, I see the AXIS_REF_SM3 function block provides uiDriveInterfaceError and dwErrorId, but I can't find any significance of these further than Drive interface error number Parameter number: 1014 and Drive specific error identifier, parameter number: 1031, respectively. Is there some corresponding appendix I could use to decode these? Also, is there any relation to the Error ID (of type SMC_Error) of the MC POUs? MC_Jog, MC_Reset, MC_MoveRelative, etc? If so, are the above errors redundant? Thanks in advance.

yes and no ... if you run the license server on the host (to serve licenses to the docker instances / vplcs then there is no runtime which could check the licenses on the host. Therefore you need the CODESYS WBM to activate or check the licenes or you could use in CODESYS IDE the licensemanager ( not the one for the device licenses) but you have the the IP of the license server that he know where to search for the licenses ..tool options i guess to add it, will add a screenshot later.

Hi imdatatas, sorry to hear this issue caused so much overhead for you. Frankly, I'd expect a project created with an older version to compile without errors after opening > it with the latest Codesys version and updating all libraries. Yes, that is a reasonable expectation. I tried a few times but could not reproduce the problem. In case you run into the problem again, we can investigate the issue if you send a project archive. If you are a vendor of controllers and want to have your own CODESYS Runtime on your device, then you need to contact the CODESYS Sales team and ask for the runtime Toolkit. For resellers of CODESYS devices, this can be interesting. If it is only for a few devices, then why not just take the standard runtime?

Device: RPI 3b or 3B+ System: Wheezy Codesys: 3.5.16.2 I got the Log: 2023-12-13T00:38:43Z, 0x00000054, 2,6,11, !!!! Warning: Eventbuffer full for app=<app>Application</app>; an inputevent with the tag <tag>128</tag> has been dropped This log happens aroud 10 times a second. Sometimes the controller stopped working any more. What is the reason for this? I will update this controller soon (I hope so, but in the meantime I should at least know hoe to prevent this issue) Mario

Hello, We encountered the same issues on both recipe library versions 4.2.0.0 and the newest 4.3.0.0. The Arrays of structs get saved correctly but loading them restores only some indexes, while others get lost or completely wrong. We have been using the same recipes for the last two years on recipe manager vers. 3.5.17 withoud issues. There also seems to be a different behaviour in vers. 4.3.0.0 but it's still incorrectly loading the recipes. Did you find any workaround or solution? Codesys version used: 3.5.19.50

hi! this is also a delayed answer, sorry for this. when coding in python i get the TCA9548a working. Is there someone who knows how big of a effort it would be to update Stefan's original code to make it work with a more up to date version of codesys or should i downgrade my system? andrax - are you using a downgraded version of codesys or have you downgraded all the libraries? Hi, there is a plethora of hardware available for it to be succesful on. In theory every ARM32/64 or x86/64 device is a potential target. Next to this there are embedded device platforms for which specific toolchains are available. A good starting for manufactureres of CODESYS capable devices is available here: https://www.codesys.com/the-system/codesys-inside.html. That should give you a good reference point.

Anyone else using the SEND_RECV_MSG function block for RS-485 communication on Schneider Machine Expert? I have had ongoing issues with it for several years, which Schneider tech support is aware of, but hasn't been able to fix. The latest version of Machine Expert (v2.2) appears to have broken some of the functionality altogether. I'd be interested in hearing from anyone else using this platform for serial communication.

Hey all CODESYS-experts. I'm at a customer site, and we hade a power-failure and one of the devices apparently runs codesys and has crashed. It's an old device (out of warranty) that is bought many years ago. Now this device doesn't seem to boot. Any idea what to do in this case? We have access to the drive so we have access to the files. Hello I am using FTP_CLIENT to donwnload/Upload a text or CSV file from FTP server. UpLoading from PLC to FTP server is working without any problem but when I try to download from FTP server I get an error. The FTP_CLIENT Block allows me to add URL but I do not where I can specify the direcory to save the downloaded file... is there anyone has an experience with downloading from FTP server using FTP_CLIENT block. I got the shared memory example. I'm pretty sure I'm successfully created a memory space, CreateResult returns 18. szName:='CodesysDataShare'; hShm := SysSharedMemoryCreate(szName, 0, ADR(uxiSize), ADR(CreateResult)); I'm trying to access this memory with a C# application, but I get "Unable to Find Specified File". I suspect that Codesys and/or Visual Studio code alters the name I choose? Hi! I have usually only connected one OPC client (our system) to an OPC server created in the codesys environment on a PLC. This OPC client has a lot of write privileges. A customer also want OPC access, but I want to restrict his access to only read certain values. Do you know if this is possible inside the single codesys runtime running on a controller?

Hallo Herr Schwellinger, vielen Dank für die Antwort. Leider hat auch das weglassen des "sudo"-Befehls kein Erfolg. Folgendes passiert: Bild 1: Befehl in der Konsole eingegeben ohne sudo; Uhrzeit wird nicht gestellt (keine Berechtigung). Bild 2: Befehl mit sudo ausgeführt, Uhrzeit wird gestellt. Bild 3: Befehl ohne sudo von CoDeSys aus ausgeführt; Rückgabewert gibt die Uhrzeit an, die eingestellt werden sollte, Uhrzeit wird jedoch NICHT eingestellt. Haben Sie noch eine Idee was es sein könnte?
